The Classic Struggle Offers Tour And Album Update
May 12, 2008
South Carolina metalcore band The Classic Struggle are set to join up with With Dead Hands Rising and A Breath Before Surfacing before finishing work on their follow up to 2005’s highly acclaimed Ironclad Recordings debut, 'Feel Like Hell'.

Here’s what the band had to say: “What’s up everybody?! We have good news and bad news. We’ll start with the band news. Once again we have to cancel about 2 1/2 weeks of tour dates due to being broke ass motherfuckers! With gas prices going up and the job market being dead at home, it’s just not possible for us to make it to the west coast and back. We have full intentions right now of jumping back on the With Dead Hands Rising CD release tour and finishing the east coast dates, as long as our funds hold up. We’ll keep you posted!

Now for the GOOD news! The guitar tracks, along with the rest of our tracks for the new album are now finished! It’s in the process of being mixed and things are finally rolling in the right direction. I know we’ve said this before about four months ago, but it’s for real this time! After the With Dead Hands Rising tour, we’ll be taking some time off to focus on getting the record out and then getting back on the road to bring the new record to you and make up for all of our cancellations! We want all of you to know that we’ve been trying hard to make everything happen; it’s just been fucking tough lately! We’ll see you soon! Stay metal!”

As Blood Runs Black To Headline Metal For The Masses Tour
March 7, 2008
Century Media Records, Mediaskare Records, Hot Topic and Alternative Press are teaming up to present the 2nd annual “Metal For The Masses” Tour. This massive six-week trek, which kicks off on April 12th, features some of the Century Media family’s hottest new acts including As Blood Runs Black, Stick To Your Guns, Winds of Plague, The Ghost Inside (on select dates) and Veil of Maya. With Dead Hands Rising (on select dates) and Belay My Last (on select dates) round out the bill. This devastating package is one of the most brutal, fan-friendly and affordably-priced tours this spring and is sure to be the perfect alternative to the upcoming oversaturation of festival events. For additional information on any of the bands or to view the tour’s itinerary feel free to visit www.myspace.com/metalforthemasses

The LA based quintet AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK created quite a buzz for themselves with their debut Mediaskare release, Allegiance, and the hype for their sophomore effort continues to build to epic proportions. The band’s live presence is a force to be reckoned with and is built on aggression, speed and depth-defying musicianship. You don’t want to miss out on this headlining set; prepare yourself for their new full-length release this summer.

Never one known to rest on their laurels, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK welcomes this undying touring schedule, which sees them come straight from the Unearth and Bury Your Dead tour into this much-anticipated headlining run. This trek marks their first full headlining U.S. tour and will feature a slew of new material from their upcoming album. This is your first chance to hear this material live, so don’t miss out.

AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK states: “We are looking forward to being back on the road after being home for three months, especially with all our Southern California brothers and Midwest labelmates With Dead Hands Rising and new members to our extended family Veil Of Maya on the tour. It will be great to play new songs in front of a live audience to give them a taste of what’s to come from our new album, which will be coming out at the end of the summer. Starting this year in the studio has left us starving to get back on the road.”

Guitarist Sal Roldan says: “From working at Hot Topic and selling the Metal For The Masses CD, it's definitely a trip to be on the tour for it.” Guitarist Ernie Flores further comments: “Being a part of this tour is a privilege, headlining this tour is an honor.”

Another Southern-California based quintet, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, have just completed work on their much-anticipated new full-length offering, Comes From The Heart, with acclaimed producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), which is set for a May 13th release. The album is crushing with diversity, with something for everyone. It has everything you could possibly need, from giant melodic singing choruses, to intensely fast beats with devastating guitar riffs. In 2008, STICK TO YOUR GUNS will deliver an album that will have the thrashers headbanging like its 1984, while the hardcore kids create a flurry of circle pits.

Casey Lagos (drums) further comments: “We are so excited to do this tour and play some new tunes from our upcoming album. We've been great friends with As Blood Runs Black and Winds of Plague for almost five years now. We all started around the same time and played shows together a lot when we were younger. It's been so awesome to watch our friends’ bands grow, and be able to travel the nations together doing what we love and are called to do. See you out there!”

WINDS OF PLAGUE is currently one of the hottest bands in the genre as their debut CM offering, Decimate The Weak, stormed out of the gates with a vengeance. The group just completed the “Arthropodan Eroticism Tour” with Dead to Fall, Impending Doom and Belay My Last, leaving a trail of disaster throughout each city. The addition of Kristen Randall (keyboards) added another deadly element to their already devastating assault.

Johnny (vocals) further describes his excitement over the tour: “When I first started getting into metal I would always anticipate the release of Hot Topic’s Metal For The Masses compilation. It’s a great way to discover new up and coming bands and sample new material from old favorites. Being featured on the comp. as an artist this year is a huge personal accomplishment and an awesome opportunity for the band. The lineup for the 2nd annual tour promises to be one hell of a show and we couldn’t be more proud to play alongside our California brothers As Blood Runs Black and Stick To Your Guns, as well as the very powerful Veil Of Maya. This is one show you don’t want to miss. We hope to see you all there.”

Decimate The Weak retains the band’s hardcore roots while the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme. This stunning slab of brutality annihilates the listener with its razor sharp riffs and sheer intensity backed with a monsoon of angst and inner demons that is just waiting to be expelled on stage.
In 2008, WINDS OF PLAGUE pave their own path of destruction unlike anyone has yet witnessed.

Winds Of Plague Announce New Keyboardist
February 4, 2008
Los Angeles Blackmetalcore upstarts Winds Of Plague are currently annihilating the masses across the U.S. as part the “Arthropodan Eroticism Tour” with Dead to Fall, Impending Doom and With Dead Hands Rising. This month-long trek kicked off their worldwide touring cycle for their much anticipated debut Century Media offering, 'Decimate The Weak', which is set for a Feb. 5th release. The group’s savagely brutal new track, “The Impaler,” has just been posted online at the band's Official Myspace page, so head over now to check it out.

Johnny Plague(vocals) states: “Winds Of Plague is pleased to announce the addition of ex-Abigail Williams keyboard player, Kristen Randall, into the band. We’re currently out on tour with Kristen and couldn’t be happier to announce her as a permanent member. The Dead To Fall tour has been amazing so far. Every city has showed us a lot of love and the crowds have gone insane. We are pleasantly surprised at how well the public is taking to our new material and we can’t wait for this new album to circulate because our live shows are just going to get more and more insane as people become familiar with the tracks.

'Decimate the Weak' is the end result of many months of undying work and dedication and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it. We feel this album will be a huge milestone for Winds Of Plague and it’s just a small taste of what is to come. ‘The Impaler’ is a personal favorite of mine. The song seems to have a very strong and violent energy from start to finish with an anthem of perseverance running through the lyrics. We’re playing a lot of material from the record in our live set, so come out to a show and have some fun.”

'Decimate The Weak' was recorded with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, A Love Ends Suicide) and mixed by the legendary Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted).
