Warship Announce Tour Dates, Limited Edition Poster
November 5, 2008
Warship, the new band featuring Francis Mark (vocals, drums) and Rob Lauritsen (guitar, bass) of From Autumn To Ashes, today (Tuesday, Nov. 4)release their debut Vagrant album, 'Supply & Depend'. The New York City-based duo also announces their upcoming tour with Fall of Troy and The Number Twelve Looks Like You (see dates below).

'Supply & Depend' was produced by Andrew Schneider (Made Out Of Babies, Cave In, Pelican, Unsane) and has a sound “somewhat akin to bare-knuckle street brawl between Saint Vitus, Snapcase and High On Fire.”

“I don’t think a lot of people were expecting this. When I said I was starting a new band, people thought I was going to go in a more mellow direction,” says Mark. “It’s definitely a lot more blown-out, and raw, and with more driving rhythms and ugliness than we ever did with FATA.”

The first 200 fans that buy the CD online through the Vagrant /Warship webstore for $10 will receive a free limited edition hand-numbered poster designed by Francis Mark (and signed by both Fran and Rob).

The band’s name holds special meaning—a play on the word “worship,” the moniker serves as a reminder of the destructive power of religion, which has often been wielded for less-than-glorious ambitions under the auspices of benevolence.

The Number Twelve Looks Like You Announce New Album, Tour
November 3, 2008
The Number Twelve Looks Like You have announced a February 10, 2009 release date for their third full-length release, 'Worse Than Alone' (Eyeball Records). The Bergen County, NJ five-piece self-produced the disc at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ and brought in acclaimed producer/mixer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan) to handle mixing duties.

“Heart, body, soul and mind: the epitome of the #12 experience; A conflict of body and soul but a collective mind, “ commented vocalist Justin Pedrick, who also described it as, “Italian sausage and cubes of chicken breast meld into a soup with wild rice, baby carrots, onion and brussel sprouts with chicken stock and spices to make the perfect NJ gumbo soup. Served with whole grain bread. (Tomatoes and onions on the side with balsamic).”

The Number Twelve also announce a main support slot on the upcoming Fall of Troy tour (see all dates below). Vocalist Jesse Korman said, “Going on tour with buddy-bands is more fun than swimming in the ocean for the first time at 24 years old. We have a new instrument that we use live called a sword, it brings power and hope to the local townspeople. If you come join us in this harmonious ritual, you can feel the mojo as well. Its been a long, long time since we have been out on the west coast, so it's exciting to be out there with such a solid package, The Fall of Troy and Warship... dangity dangity dang. Hope everyone is awake enough to come out, those chemstreams the government is using on us are ridiculous.”
