Augury Drummer Announces Departure
November 12, 2009
Creators of a progressive-minded extreme metal, Montreal's juggernauts Augury sadly report the departure of their drummer Antoine Baril.

States Baril:
"I’m very sad to have to announce my departure from Augury. Some personal and professional reasons have made multiple tours impossible for me at the moment. I wish all the best for Augury because those wonderful guys are making incredibly good music. I will never forget those memorable shows and I would like to thank everyone for their support on the road everywhere we've been on tour."

States the band:
Augury thanks Antoine for all the good times and excellent music, and we wish him well in all aspects of his life. He will remain a close friend for all of us. For the upcoming tour with Vader [in support of their new album 'Fragmentary Evidence'], drummer RobinFrog’ Stone from Australian industrial metal mad scientists The Amenta will take over the drum throne. He is a very tight and skilled drummer, having learned our set in a matter of hours. Click here to see a video of Robin in action. We have a new drummer ready in Montreal for the upcoming tours. Videos and name will be revealed soon.”

Suicide Silence And BloodyDisgusting Launch 'Genocide' Video
November 9, 2009
America’s premiere, genre-defying metal band, Suicide Silence, will bring their devastating live performance to the masses alongside the legendary Megadeth this fall. The much anticipated North American trek, which kicks off on Nov. 14th, also features Bay Area metal titans Machine Head with support coming from Arcanium and Warbringer on select shows. Head over now to www.myspace.com/suicidesilence to view their complete touring itinerary.

Suicide Silence
has teamed up with the #1 source for horror, www.Bloodydisgusting.com, to present the worldwide exclusive debut of the band’s much anticipated new video for “Genocide.” The track can be found exclusively on the new 'SAW IV Soundtrack' (Trustkill Records, in stores now) and features some dynamic live performance footage interwoven with some grizzly, striking clips from the hit movie. Head over to this location to check it out, or simply check it out here on the Featured Video section of the Loudside main page.

Mitch Lucker
(vocals) further states: “It is a huge honor to be touring this fall throughout North America with Megadeth and Machine Head, who our entire band worship. This is a big opportunity for us to take our crushing live shows to the unsuspecting masses and it’s always a great feeling seeing the bewildered looks on people’s faces during our sets as they weren’t expecting to be bludgeoned to death for 30 minutes. We go out on stage with one sole intention in mind: to blow people’s fuckin’ head’s off. This is going to be one of the biggest parties of the year, so we hope to see you all out there for a crushing night of unrelenting metal the way it was meant to be delivered by some of the all time best. Fuck yeah.”

There is little doubt in anyone’s minds that Suicide Silence are the frontrunners of the scene as they became one of the most extreme bands to ever debut in the Billboard Top 200 charts at such a high number entering at #32 with over 14,000 units sold.
