Augury Drummer Announces Departure
November 12, 2009
Creators of a progressive-minded extreme metal, Montreal's juggernauts Augury sadly report the departure of their drummer Antoine Baril.

States Baril:
"I’m very sad to have to announce my departure from Augury. Some personal and professional reasons have made multiple tours impossible for me at the moment. I wish all the best for Augury because those wonderful guys are making incredibly good music. I will never forget those memorable shows and I would like to thank everyone for their support on the road everywhere we've been on tour."

States the band:
Augury thanks Antoine for all the good times and excellent music, and we wish him well in all aspects of his life. He will remain a close friend for all of us. For the upcoming tour with Vader [in support of their new album 'Fragmentary Evidence'], drummer RobinFrog’ Stone from Australian industrial metal mad scientists The Amenta will take over the drum throne. He is a very tight and skilled drummer, having learned our set in a matter of hours. Click here to see a video of Robin in action. We have a new drummer ready in Montreal for the upcoming tours. Videos and name will be revealed soon.”

Warbringer Announce Megadeth Shows
September 22, 2009
The purveyors of the new wave of American retro-thrash metal, Warbringer have had their tireless work ethic validated this week as the legendary Megadeth have chosen the band to open for them for some select major North American shows this fall. This huge announcement comes in the midst of the band’s highly successful run alongside Obituary, Krisiun and Goatwhore, which wraps up on Oct. 4th. Visit to view their complete, rigorous touring itinerary.

John Kevill
(vocals) further states: “Hey everyone, in Vancouver right now on the Obituary tour and getting kinda close to the halfway point. Love it up here in the northwest, and love the epic crossing of the channel we always make on the ferryboat from Victoria. We are still heading to all the eastward places and then back around, and after that we have some headlining California shows, and then the tour with Vader and Decrepit Birth. And luckily, most of the way into this tour, we get to go off and do some shows with fucking Megadeth!

For us as a band this is pretty huge, it will be excellent to share the stage with such a legendary band. Also we are playing around the mid-north of the country in some places we've never been. Then after that we are going to Hawaii, so the rest of the year is looking completely badass. The band’s live performance is better and more lethal than ever before, so we look forward to seeing you all soon.”

latest album, 'Waking Into Nightmares', was released in 2008 via Century Media.

Vader Announce North American Tour
June 25, 2009
Polish deathsters Vader will team up with Santa Cruz, California’s Decrepit Birth, L.A.’s Warbringer, The Amenta from Australia, S.W.W.A.A.T.S. from Florida, and Montreal, Canada’s Augury for a 38-show “Decibel Presents: Monsters Of Death Tour” through North America beginning November 4th in Baltimore, Maryland.

Vader guitarist/vocalist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek shares his thoughts on the upcoming trek: “Metal always was and still needs to be a brotherhood. All we were doing [in the past] to support the music and the scene was cooperating with other bands. Natural selection decides if a band is really dedicated or if it's just an episode. Not much has changed today, actually. Even if the so-called ‘metal music business’ changed some rules, there will still be those who play with passion and those who want success. It is not us who wanna be ‘a judge,’ so we always try to tour with bands we have a good relationship with. A good time and a friendly atmosphere is important for all of us. I only hope that everybody will enjoy the tour and will come away with good lessons from it... like we in Vader always do. Deciding on a set list is always a problem. With every new album, the problem grows bigger and bigger. I decide the set list and I'm always confused. Usually, I try to mix some of old Vader hits with new stuff. The set might be different and depends on the conditions. For the upcoming tour through the USA and Canada, we're gonna make the set slightly different from our shows in Poland and Western Europe. I also asked our fans about their favorite Vader songs. It may help me make a choice. I wish we could play all of our new songs, but it is not possible. I think we'll do 5 pieces from 'Necropolis' and mix them in with some old Vader. The veterans and also the new ‘in-Vader's will find something interesting for sure! After the maniacs learn the new album better, we can always add more songs.”

The Monsters of Death Tour will mark the North American debut of Vader's live line-up:
- Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek – Guitar/Vocals
- Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka (Decapitated) - Guitar
- Reyash - Bass
- Pawel Jaroszewicz (Soul Snatcher) - Drums

There are very few bands that have managed to weave a web of mystery around them. Very few have survived and keep going strong until today. When faced with the question, which people tend to mention American death-mongers like MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE or CANNIBAL CORPSE however, for a few years now many have named VADER perhaps the only band from Europe, which has sustained its status for a long number of years. Theirs is the cult of musical brutality and the urge to succeed. Few may remember that VADER were the first band ever from behind the Iron Curtain to sign to a Western label while their 1990 demo Morbid Reich is still considered to be the best selling demo tape in the history of death metal. The year 2004 is the time for the bands new studio album The Beast and an extensive promotional campaign including over 170 gigs! The recording sessions of VADERs new album had to be interrupted and postponed to May/June due to an unfortunate accident suffered by Doc (drums) and a very talented drummer called Daray (VESANIA) replaced him. VADERs new live season kicked off with a small tour through the Czech Republic / Slovakia and Eastern countries like Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, The Ukraine and Belarus, 25 gigs in total. From the 1st of April VADER continued their European crusades, invading countries like Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, England, France, Italy, and Austria to name a few, simultaneously proceeding with the recording sessions to The Beast. A very important part of that tour was the bands first trip to the Balkans (Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia and Croatia) and a Scandinavian tour consisting of 14 gigs. For the second half of 2004 VADER is going to play another tour through Poland named Blitzkrieg 2 (17-gigs), a US tour along with CANNIBAL CORPSE and NAPALM DEATH (October/November) and participate in the December X-Mass Festivals. Nevertheless, the most important gig VADER played in 2004 was probably at Silesian Stadium, Katowice, where the band opened for METALLICA in front of 50,000 people. The sessions for The Beast were finished in mid-July. The album hits the market on the 20th of September and contains 10 new cuts. They were recorded at RG Studio, Gdansk (Poland) with Piotr Lukaszewski behind the board, the producer well known from the bands previous releases. Famous Polish artist Jacek Wisniewski took care of the album artwork and layout once again. The European limited edition of the album also contains a bonus DVD featuring a 30 minute studio report, 2 video clips recorded during the sessions, and 3 video cuts recorded at Metal Mania Festival 2003. Beware of The Beast!
