A Silent Protest
Trigger Point Head Into Studio
December 3, 2007
LA’s Trigger Point has begun pre production on their new album tentatively titled "Giving Up The Ghost" with Producer (and Far/Revolution Smile) guitarist Shaun Lopez (Deftones, Will Haven, Demon Hunter) at the helm.

Says vocalist Taylor Wallace, "We are all very excited about making this record. It pretty much captures everything we have been through in the last three years. The music is epic to say the least. We have been working on it just about everyday for the last year, and are finally ready to get in the studio and bring it to life."

The band began recording their new album on November 3rd at LA’s Bomb Shelter Studios.

HOME TOWN: Los Angeles, CA
Taylor Wallace (vocals)
Mike Bashur (guitar)
PAJ (bass)
Dave Gentry (drums)

This is a time in the deprived world of hard rock where longevity has ceased to exist, innovation has gone unrecognized, and music, which soon becomes disposable, is rejoiced. Enter Trigger Point. Trigger Point picks up the pieces of a genre of music where emotion is expressed through aggressiveness, and oftentimes musicianship takes a backseat to the mainstream. Formed in 2001 by Mike Bashur (guitar), Dave Gentry (drums), and Taylor Wallace (vocals), and joined in 2004 by Paul Kelly (bass), who would complete the machine that is Trigger Point, it was inevitable then, that this combination of ability, influences, and ambition would soon be making waves in the national hard rock scene. Coming from three different parts of the U.S. with one goal in mind, to give the fans what their idols gave to them - a soundtrack to life. Before signing with up-and-coming indie powerhouse Corporate Punishment Records, Trigger Point had been at the forefront of the hardcore hard rock scene in Los Angeles since their inception, taking over the West Coast with an undeniable and impeccable live show, and a unique sound, a delicate balance of unforgettable melodies, commanding guitar riffs, and chest pounding grooves.. With their debut full-length album A Silent Protest produced by Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) set for release in September 2005, the reparation of rock has begun.
