...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead Update
August 22, 2008
Austin, TX’s …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, after a decade smashing up the road and recording contemporary classics like 'Source Tags & Codes' and 'Madonna' with Interscope, Merge, and the Trance Syndicate, have regained their independence– starting their own label, Richter Scale, to put out their own records and those of their favorite bands. While in New York putting the final touches on their sixth full-length with engineer/producer Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Celebration, etc.), Trail of Dead celebrates a return to their roots at Santos’ Party House.

For one night only, the band will perform in their original two-piece line-up of Conrad Keeley and Jason Reece rocking the lightning-speed take on Unwoundy post-hardcore that originally put them on the map in the late 1990s. Locals Shock Cinema, whose debut 'Hell and Highwater' just hit stores, and with whom Keeley often performs, open the bill and another Texan from their days as a two-piece whose since come a long way, New York Night Train’s Mr. Jonathan Toubin, lays down flaming platters for your dancing pleasure all night long! Don’t miss the wreckage....

Santos’ Party House and New York Night Train got together to create an underground rock’n’roll party unlike any other our city has seen, Declassified – the finest underground rock bands and DJs in the world with projectionists, go go dancers, and performance every Monday. The last few weeks have seen not only regular house crew of DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin and Go Go Dancer Anna Copacabana, but also performances by the likes of King Khan and the BBQ, Jon Spencer’s Heavy Trash, Awesome Color, James Chance, and the Homosexuals – and guest DJs like Ian Svenonius and Tim Warren.

Upcoming Declassified Mondays Guest Bands and Dj's:
09/01: DJs Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening/Dub Narcotic Sound System), Ian Svenonius (Soft Focus!), Puddin Tang, and unbelievable special surprise musical guest
09/08: Fashion Week Madness!
09/15: Andrew W.K., Aleister, Bad Brilliance, Samuel, and DJ B-Roc
09/22: Black Time (London – In the Red Records), Static Static (Los Angeles)
