Thy Will Be Done Frontman Comments On Fear Factory Tour
May 21, 2010
After a successful winter tour that they were personally invited to perform on by Dez Fafara of DevilDriver, Providence Rhode Island's Thy Will Be Done are now out on the road with Fear Factory, Prong, and Silent Civilian. The Fear Campaign Tour is set to tear across the US throughout the rest of May and the first half of June. Special guests All That Remains will join up with the tour on June 8th. No strangers to the road, Thy Will Be Done have been touring non-stop since the release of their 2007 debut album 'Was And Is To Come'.

Front man J. Costa had the following to say about the current tour:
"We're genuine fans of music first and foremost, so it's still a bit surreal to be a part of a tour with Fear Factory whom not only is highly influential to Thy Will Be Done but so many other bands! I hear FF in SO many bands and for whatever reason, in my opinion, not enough people site them as being as HIGHLY influential and groundbreaking as they are.

The same is also felt about Prong! We owe so much to them for helping pave the way. We're also glad to be out here with SIlent Civilian. They're solid musicians and people and Jonny's got some serious pipes. So, as music fans and musicians, we're super humbled and appreciative to be on this run."

Their 2009 follow-up effort, 'In Ancient of Days', was released June 30 again through Stillborn Records and produced, engineered and mixed by Zeuss with Jamey Jasta as executive producer. The European release features the bonus track "Mystery, Her Name". An exclusive alternate version of the album is also available in the US through retailer Hot Topic which features the track "Becoming the Way".

Thy Will Be Done
has been seen on tour with or supporting Machine Head, Lamb of God, DevilDriver, Amon Amarth, Crowbar, Arch Enemy, Hatebreed, Five Finger Death Punch, Kingdom of Sorrow and Type O Negative just to name a few.

Despised Icon Post New Song Online, Prep For Thrash And Burn
July 18, 2009
Brutally intense, unrelenting and outright savage are just a few ways the metal community will describe the new offering from Montreal’s hottest export Despised Icon, as their new full-length effort, 'Day of Mourning', is a true lesson in violence. The material contained on this disc should come bearing a caution label stating “Is known to evoke extreme erratic and violent tendencies coupled with a desire to kill.”

The dichotomy of the dual vocal assault of Alex Erian and Steve Marois adds the depth and dynamic that few bands can attempt to replicate. The addition of new bassist Max Lavelle quickly proved his skills keeping up with the maniacal drumming of Alexandre Pelletier who delivers his most impressive performance yet, raising the bar for his peers within the genre. Longtime guitarist Eric Jarrin and newcomer Ben Landreville round everything out with a blistering, frenetic barrage of cut-throat riffs.

The blistering new track, “MVP,” is now available on the band’s MySpace page, so head over now to check it out. The group kicks off their worldwide touring campaign for 'Day of Mourning' on July 24th as part of the massive “Trash and Burn” package playing alongside DevilDriver, Emmure, Veil of Maya and a slew of others. Either see below or visit their MySpace to view their complete touring itinerary.

Despised Icon
brought on board an all-star team for the 'Day of Mourning' recording process. They joined back up with longtime producer (and former guitar player) Yannick St-Amand for all tracking duties with renowned producer Andreas Magnusson (Haste The Day, Born of Osiris) entering the fold to mix the effort, with mastering being handled by Alan Douches (Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Nile). The vicious new offering is set for a Sept. 22nd release.

Threat Signal Reveal Album Details, Post New Songs Online
June 5, 2009
Canadian Cyber-thrash metallers, Threat Signal, will release their sophomore album, 'Vigilance', on August 28 (Europe) and September 8th (North America) via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover art is available below.

The track listing for 'Vigilance' is as follows:
01. Afterlife
02. Through My Eyes
03. The Beginning Of The End
04. United We Stand
05. Beyond Recognition
06. Another Source Of Light
07. Hate Machine
08. Severed
09. Lost
10. Revision
11. In Repair
12. Escape From Reality
13. To Remember

Two songs from the album — "Beyond Recognition" and "The Beginning Of The End" are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Threat Signal
has just kicked off a headlining tour with The Agonist, Flatline and Thy Will Be Done. Dubbed the "Road to Revision", the run will be followed by another headlining trek this July with The Autumn Offering, The Agonist and Sybreed. During this tour, Threat Signal will be debuting material from 'Vigilance'.

Commented vocalist Jon Howard: "This tour is really special to us because we will be debuting five songs from our new album within an hour-long performance. I'm really excited to see how the fans react to the new material. It's a very solid tour package with The Agonist, Flatline, and Thy Will Be Done, so the show is strong from beginning to end. This will be a heavy, brutal tour with lots of drinks and good times! We'll have our camera rolling for a DVD so put on your metal face and come rock out."

In a recent interview with Spine Language blog, Jon Howard stated about Threat Signal's decision to play new, as-yet-unreleased material as part of the band's current live performance, "We feel that we've been playing the same show for too long. We've been playing songs from 'Under Reprisal' for almost five years! The reactions have been amazing so far. Sometimes it feels as if they know the songs already! So with that said we have totally broken the rule. We are playing five songs from the new album, 'Vigilance', and six from 'Under Reprisal'. So you get a good blend of new and old. I think people are craving new shit, so even if they do stand and nod their head, I don't care, I know they are just taking it all in!!"

HOME TOWN: Providence, RI
J. Costa - Vocals
? - Lead Guitar
Eric Tavares - Bass
Kurt Fraunfelter - Rhythm Guitar
Bob Harris - Drums

THY WILL BE DONE just finished recording with Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed) whom Produced, Engineered and Mixed their upcoming debut "Was And Is To Come" with Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed as Executive Producer. The album displays a strong and distinct mix of their influences. Tentative release date remains sometime in Fall 2007.

Their name, THY WILL BE DONE, is a perfect fit for this unique group from Providence, RI. It compliments both their explosive musical drive and the message they bring as a reaction to the "second-rate" commercial bands that use their stature and gimmicks to sell their senseless negativity and hopeless, nihilistic world views.

THY WILL BE DONE were recently featured in a 2-page spread in Hails&Horns Magazine (March/April 07), their debut has already started to receive stellar reviews from Metal Edge Magazine, AMP Magazine, and RUIN Magazine, the band was also featured on the Stillborn Fest with Hatebreed, Sick Of It All, Suffocation, Full Blown Chaos, and Subzero among others, and the band was a Main Stage performer at the 9th Annual New England Metal & Hardcore Fest this past April.

Over the past few years, many have witnessed them play with the likes of Shadow's Fall, Killswitch Engage, Converge and Diecast, to Skinless, Beyond The Embrace, Crowbar and many others, and have gained the interest of many fans from the different branches of extreme music.

Their songs and arrangements echo the voice of the oppressed and those whom sought much needed change in these turbulant times. THY WILL BE DONE coalesce the unorthodox balance of some of the most bludgeoning music with thought provoking lyrics that are both spiritually and emotionally uplifting. The result is a refreshing stance in opposition to the dissonance of the human condition. Not often enough is there a band who's drive is to inspire millions instead of making millions.

For THY WILL BE DONE, their convictions are set but their sincerity and open-minded attitudes are conveyed like never before. The perpetual abominations of the "rat-race", and those associated with it, will continue to fuel their desire...No water can put out this fire.
