The Acacia Strain Announce Fall Headline Tour
August 31, 2010
The Acacia Strain are proud to announce their first headlining tour since the release of 'Wormwood', last month.

The "To Catch a Predatour" sees The Acacia Strain heading out along the East Coast and in Canada with support from The Red Chord, Terror, Gaza, and The Contortionist. The Acacia Strain are extremely excited to head out with some of today's top metal and hardcore acts out in support of their newest record on Prosthetic Records. In typical The Acacia Strain fashion, the guys plan to bring the fun each night by hanging out at their merch table thirty minutes after doors to meet the fans and socialize. There will be a special tee shirt available for purchase only during this time in addition to all their new tour merchandise. If you are in the Holyoke, MA area on the 20th of November, be sure to come out to the Waterfront Tavern as this show will be a benefit for a dear friend of the band who recently passed away due to a decade long battle with cancer.

The Red Chord Explain European Tour Situation
April 22, 2010
Forced to miss its European tour with Rotten Sound and Aborted due to the effects of the recent volcano in Iceland, The Red Chord has lined up an amazing weekend's worth of shows for fans on the East Coast.

Saturday, April 24, The Red Chord will play the main stage at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest in Worcester, MA, alongside Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, and Job For A Cowboy. This last-minute NEMHF appearance is a homecoming of sorts for The Red Chord who hail from nearby Boston and who have played the now-legendary fest five times, starting in 2003.

Sunday, April 25, The Red Chord heads to Brooklyn, NY, to headline a show at Public Assembly with Premonitions Of War and Tiger Flowers. This is an ultra rare opportunity for fans to witness The Red Chord at a tiny venue. The alliance between The Red Chord and Premonitions Of War dates back to 2003 when the two bands teamed up on a self-booked US tour (along with none other than Between The Buried And Me!). The Red Chord frontman Guy Kozowyk went on to release a Premonitions Of War CD, Glorified Dirt + The True Face of Panic, on his label, Black Market Activities.

Kozowyk
offers this explanation about the European tour:
"We did everything we could to make it to this European tour with Rotten Sound and Aborted. Unfortunately, our best efforts couldn't get The Red Chord or Those Who Lie Beneath onto the continent until it was far too late. The remainder of the tour is uncertain, but if Rotten Sound and Aborted continue with the rest of it, we strongly advise and appreciate your support of the remaining shows. We will do our best to make up shows before the end of the year and we thank the bands, agents and fans for their patience and understanding during this ridiculous situation."

The Red Chord's
latest album, 'Fed Through The Teeth Machine', is out now on Metal Blade Records.

Biography
YEAR FORMED: 2000
HOME TOWN: Boston, MA
MEMBERS:
Guy Kozowyk (vocals)
Mike McKenzie (guitars)
Kevin Rampelberg (guitars)
Gregory Weeks (bass)
Brad Fickeisen (drums)

The unsettling touch of a gnarled chapped hand tugs at my wrist. A shiver of uneasiness surges through my body that is almost enough to mask the nauseating aroma that surrounds him. "Hey Mister. Got a cigarette?" I quickly pull my arm away as small black insect crawls from his sleeve and falls to ground. My imagination is flying. What happened here? How did it come to be this way? And there are millions just like him. We are all just like him. We are all clients.” Taken from a passage in ClientsForming five years ago, The Red Chord is a grind-hardcore band from the north shore area of Massachusetts who’s collective goal is to push the extremes of aggressive music and to combine the best aspects of the hardcore, death, grind and metal genres. Original members Guy and Kevin asked Gunface to join the line up in 2000 to add an additional guitar player while Greg would eventually be invited to fill the bass position. At this point The Red Chord became one of the most talked about bands in the underground. After over 400+ shows across 14 countries for their first release, Fused Together In Revolving Doors, and moving approximately 25,000 CD’s worldwide, The Red Chord found current drummer Brad in late 2004 and began to finalize new material for the debut release on Metal Blade Records.Signing with Metal Blade earlier last year, The Red Chord has been cited as one of the most influential crossover bands of the hardcore, grind and metal genres. They have been referenced, featured or interviewed in the majority of pertinent heavy music periodicals including Revolver, AP, Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Unrestrained, Decibel and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles. This year looks to be the bands biggest year yet, with their new record street dating on May 17th 2005 and some huge tour plans to follow including The New England Hardcore & Metal Fest as well as a co-headlining tour with Bury Your Dead.So what should fans of The Red Chord’s previous work expect? “It's a very different album than Fused Together in Revolving Doors. I personally think it's a lot heavier and angrier, but we'll let you judge for yourself,” states vocalist Guy Kozowyk. To say Clients is thought provoking is a mere understatement as it forces you look at society’s unfortunates and wonder how they became the way they did. Fans as well as fellow musicians have been waiting quite some time for the follow up to the bands highly successful Fused Together in Revolving Doors making Clients one of the most anticipated releases of 2005 and this album will in no way let anyone down. In order to capture the pure brutality of the music The Red Chord decided to record at the infamous Planet Z with engineer/producer Zeuss (Hatebreed & Shadows Fall) securing Clients as one of the heaviest releases of 2005. To accompany the massive and fierce sound of the album renowned artist Paul Romano, known for his work with bands like Mastodon, Nasum, Godflesh, and Dead To Fall, was brought on board to handle all the aspects of the artwork, which include portraits of each “client” mentioned in the album.
