The Number 12 Add Dates, Lose Singer, Adopted By Denny's
April 11, 2009
The Number 12 Looks Like You has added select headlining dates surrounding the upcoming ‘Heads Will Roll’ tour with Protest The Hero, Misery Signals and Scale The Summit. The band sets off for Fort Wayne, Indiana next week for the first of three headlining shows leading up to the HWR tour kickoff in Denver. A headlining tour of Canada will be announced shortly. See all dates below.

The Number 12 released their fourth full-length, 'Worse Than Alone', on Eyeball Records last month and just returned home from their spring headlining run that was their first without singer Justin Pedrick. The band issued the following statement:

"5 blown trailer tires, devious strippers, body slams, pneumonia, ravaged equipment, psychedelics, and a lost singer are only some of the things that we encountered on this past tour. It was an incredible time! We would like to thank those who came out to the shows and shared these unpredictable moments."

"We’ve seen a number of posts and comments wondering about Justin, and we are sad to announce that Justin is no longer with us due to personal issues related to depression and anxiety. It is unfortunate that he will not be part of what’s to come, but his health comes first and we wish him the best of luck. The #12 has always maintained a positive outlook, one that feeds off the support of our fans. We will continue playing and writing music for the wonderful fan base we have. Those of you that saw us on this last tour can vouch that we still killed it on stage like always. This will only get better as we tighten the loose ends. Come sing along as we tear it up with Protest The Hero and beyond. The Canadian border patrol better double check us because we are looking to rock and party harder than ever! See you all soon."

The Number 12 has also been chosen as one of Denny’s “Adopt-A-Band” acts for the spring. The band will be appearing at select Denny’s restaurants after shows along the Heads Will Roll tour to hang with fans and eat some food. Parties will be announced soon and more details about the promotion can be found here: www.dennysallnighter.com.

Protest The Hero Announce First U.S. Headline Tour
March 2, 2009
One of underground metal’s favorite bands, Protest The Hero are ecstatic to announce their very first headlining tour of the US. Riding the acclaim of their sophomore record, 'Fortress' (Vagrant 01/08 ), Protest The Hero has done nothing short of rousing a variety of audiences with their live show as well. Come April, Protest the Hero will step out into their own spotlight to headline the month long “Heads Will Roll” Tour, sponsored by Merch Now, Atticus Clothing and MetalSucks.net.

From pulling in their own packed, sweaty crowds on the Ernie Ball stage at last summer’s Vans Warped Tour, to their recent treks as support for Unearth and As I Lay Dying, Protest the Hero have proven they have both the determination and the chops to step out in front of crowds of all types and win over new fans. Misery Signals, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Scale The Summit, and Fall From Grace will join them as support. Tickets are on sale now.

'Fortress' was one of the most favorably reviewed heavy records of 2008. Protest The Hero has earned the title of “Muse for metalheads” from Revolver, who graded the album 4.5/5, in addition to scores of 4/5 stars from Alternative Press and 8/10 from Decibel. In addition, Protest The Hero was also recently nominated for a Juno in the category of “Best Rock Album.”

Scale The Summit To Embark On First Tour Supporting New Albu
March 2, 2009
Scale The Summit, the Houston-based progressive rock band who have been receiving rave reviews for their Prosthetic debut, 'Carving Desert Canyons', will join Protest The Hero and The Number Twelve Looks Like You on Apr. 17 in Denver, Colo. for a portion of the “Heads Will Roll” tour.

“We can't wait to get out there and play 'Carving Desert Canyons' for all of our fans. It’s so much more powerful, heavy, and epic live,” explained guitarist Chris Letchford. “We’re very excited about teaming up with Protest The Hero, The Number Twelve Looks Like You and Misery Signals.”

Last week, the Houston Chronicle, the ninth-largest daily newspaper inthe country, profiled the group, praising their "technically adept, fleet-fingered" instrumentals. "This is deep blue, clear-as-the-Pacific metal inspired by virtuosic guitar heroes like Dream Theater's John Petrucci, Gypsy jazz guitarist Biréli Lagrène, Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani," the paper wrote. The complete article can be read here.

If you asked the six members of this band how The Number Twelve got started, you would get six different stories. However, a few things remain consistent. One thing that is a known fact is that The Number Twelve Looks Like You is a real band, and the members of this band live in New Jersey. They might have formed sometime around 2001, but some skeptics might lead you to believe differently. The Number Twelve is made up of an eclectic collection of musicians that all add a certain "flavor" when making up the compositions of a sound that cannot be pigeonholed into one genre. Since the formation of the band they have recorded songs, traveled the country in a beat up van playing these songs, and made a ton of merch for themselves. This cycle continued for around two years until the people at Eyeball Records decided they would give this raggedy group of gents a shot. The Number Twelve now plans to work on new full-length due out on Eyeball in 2005, and to tour so much that people get so sick of seeing them that they violently vomit.
