Kataklysm Vocalist Comments On Upcoming Chimaira Tour
November 13, 2007
Having recently returned from a wildly successful European tour (including a performance at Nuclear Blasts 20 Year Anniversary Party in Stuttgart, Germany), Maurizio Iacono - vocalist for Canadas death metal band Kataklysm shares his thoughts on the bands upcoming slot as direct support for the upcoming tour with Chimaira & Terror:

"The Kataklysm machine is well-oiled and ready to crush! We are very anxious to start this tour with Chimaira this Wednesday and cant wait to see all our fans again and start the mayhem that we are known for. Unfortunately, our bass player Stphane Barbe wont be able to make this trek because he and his girlfriend are expecting their first baby, but if all goes well, hell be rejoining us on stage for the last three shows on the tour in Montreal, Toronto, and Millvale, Pennsylvania. In the meantime, worry not as Francois Mongrain from tech masters Martyr is filling in on bass and is ready to strike and draw blood with the hyperblasters. Weve completed a massive new album, 'Prevail', that should be out by Spring 2008. We cant wait for you to hear it!!! It fires on all cylinders and in all directions and will take no prisoners!!! 2008 will be the Year of The Heartbeast!!! See ya out there you crazy fucks!

Kataklysm continue to hit the road throughout the U.S. and Canada in support of their 2006 release, 'In The Arms Of Devastation', which has sold over twenty thousand copies in North America.

BTBAM Streaming One New Song At A Time
September 5, 2007
Raleigh, North Carolina-based progressive metalcore quintet Between The Buried And Me have brought a full-on audio and visual assault to everyone's computer screen that started yesterday (Tuesday, September 4) in anticipation of their new album, 'Colors' (in stores September 18 ).

Clocking in at a beefy 64 minutes, 'Colors' can be experienced one song at a time before it even hits stores. Victory Records will release a new song from 'Colors' every weekday (between September 4 and September 12) along with art and video interpretations for each piece. The band will also contribute their own thoughts and descriptions on the origin of each song and give their rabid fans and aspiring artists the opportunity to submit their own artistic interpretations of what the song means to them. Each song will stream for only 24 hours, so make sure you return every day to hear the next part of the album.

Check out the music at this location.

The band has been anxiously waiting to hit the road again, so in the spirit of the record, the band is taking out their friends in HORSE The Band, Animosity and The End. The tour starts with a pair of hometown shows in North Carolina on September 26 and September 27, continues to canvas the country before a grand finale appearance at the Saint & Sinners Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.

HOME TOWN: Ontario, Canada
Aaron Wolff (vocals)
Steve Watson (guitar)
Andrew Hercules (guitar)
Sean Dooley (bass)
Anthony Salajko (drums)

Formed in the early spring of 1999, Canadian quintet THE END formed and immediately began writing material. With the simple intention of making good music, the band had wrote their first four songs which were released as an untitled demo in May of ྟ.THE END began performing live in the southern Ontario hardcore / punk rock scenes, and, in September of ྟ, after gaining immediate recognition for what has been called 'one of the most intense live shows ever' the band set out on their first tour. The 2-week stint along the east coast of the US, established a following of loyal THE END fans -- a following which would continuously expand, becoming an empire in the coming year and a half. The End returned from the road and used the time to further their live performance and experience while fine tuning their complex, rhythm driven sound. After receiving offers from respected labels, the band decided to stay as relatively independent as possible and released their first CD recording on the Ontario label, Re-define Records. Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient (TTRfP:FO) is THE END's first full release, and one which has indeed pushed the limits of "rock" music. A seamless marriage of manic ferocity and indescribable density, THE END craft startlingly intense, memorable songs that demand repeated listening. Technically brilliant and schizophrenically non-repetitive, THE END merge spiraling guitars, baffling rhythms and paranoid electronic ambience, exploding in a frenzy of turgid strangulations and hypnotizing time signatures. Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient is a strikingly diverse display of passionate, articulate heavy music.
