Taintstick Announce 'Taintstock'
April 26, 2010
Hot off the heels of three sold-out shows at Wasted Space in Las Vegas, NV, satellite radio host and action sports icon Jason Ellis' band, Taintstick, have announced their plans to hold the first annual "Taintstock" Festival on May 15th, 2010 at the Roxy in Hollywood, CA. The festival will feature performances by Taintstick, The Jingleberries and surprise acoustic performances by highly respected musicians to be announced later along with stand-up comedy by radio personalities Rawdog and Stretch, as well as stunts and surprises that Ellis has planned for his fans.

Ellis recently hosted his sold-out Ellismania 5 in Las Vegas, where Good Charlotte/Taintstick bassist Benji Madden knocked out ex-Headbangers Ball/VH1's Daisy of Love host Riki Rachtman in the main event. Ellismania drew press coverage from the likes of People Magazine, TMZ, Entertainment Tonight and attracted a celebrity guestlist that included Tony Hawk, Jason 'Mayhem' Miller, UFC heavyweight champion Shane Carwin, members of Good Charlotte, No Doubt, Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, Hollywood Undead, Atreyu and star of The Girls Next Door and Holly's World, Holly Madison.

Taintstick's debut album, '6lbs of Sound', was released through Suburban Noize Records and charted at #120 on the Billboard Top 200. The group's video for "Monkeys Of War" can be viewed online at this location.

Taintstick Debuts At #120 On Billboard Top 200
November 6, 2009
Taintstick, featuring Sirius XM Radio host Jason Ellis and Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, charted at #120 on the Billboard Top 200 this week with their debut album '6lbs of Sound'. Taintstick's album outsold new albums from Carly Simon, Weird Al, and Devendra Banhart this week to make their musical presence felt.

"Number 120 on Billboard Top 200 baby! Boom! OK, so we're gonna just take a mulligan on the whole Sting holiday album challenge thing. Past-their-prime pop stars, Taintstick can handle, but when you add Wal-Mart Christmas-shopping impulse-buying grandmas to the has-been mix, well, that's a potent commercial cocktail. Kudos to Trans-Siberian Orchestra (#4) for handing Sting (#5) his sleigh bell and candy cane loving ass,," commented Cowfucker. "Luckily, Taintstick has disposed of the real enemy: Carly Simon (#134). Trying to see you, Carly, all the way down there, 14 big spots below us. But it's not working out for us. Weird Al (#178 ), we're sorry it had to come to this. Devendra Banhart (#139), hang your head in shame. Jesus man - even Carly Simon beat you. Just wait 'til everyone sees the sweet video we cooked up for 'Monkeys of War'! Viva La Taint!"

Video footage of Ozzy Osbourne bassist Blasko performing “Crazy Train” at Taintstick’s sold-out CD release party at Wasted Space in Las Vegas, NV has surfaced online at this location.

Taintstick are currently putting the final touches on their new video for "Monkeys of War", which is expected to surface in the coming weeks. The group is currently the featured band over at www.MySpace.com/Metal.

Taintstick Retract Tim McGraw Challenge, Take On Sting
October 6, 2009
Taintstick have retracted their challenge to country singer Tim McGraw after the group called for his retirement in a recent press release. The band has issued the following statement:

“Due to a small misunderstanding over when ‘Southern Voice’ comes out, it has been pointed out that the release of 'Six Pounds of Sound' does not coincide with the new Tim McGraw album. Therefore, Taintstick withdraws its offer to do battle with the country living legend. We have nothing but love for Tim McGraw, even though the bald guys in our band aren't trying to fool anybody with a cowboy hat.”

Given that Taintstick’s debut album 'Six Pounds of Sound' is due for an October 27th release through Suburban Noize Records, the band has issued the following open letter to rock icon Sting:

“Hello Sting,

Taintstick
have come to understand that not only did The Police break up, but you have yet another solo album coming out on October 27th. We have furthermore been led to believe it is a Christmas album. Really, Dude? You’ve already sold 100 MILLION ALBUMS. What’s a couple of carols on top of that? You’re in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Well deserved, we say, but once you’re in the hall of anything, doesn’t that mean it’s time to gracefully hang it up?

Sting
, we’re sure you understand the feeling. You were there once, and now Taintstick are coming in hot, and we are ready to go big. We therefore challenge you to a duel; winner take all. ‘Six Pounds of Sound’ vs. ‘If On a Winter’s Night’. If you sell more, we bow to the tantric master, but if we sell more…well, you start spending more quality time hanging out in some of those well-earned castles of yours.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Sincerely,
Taintstick"

Taintstick
are currently awaiting a response from Sting’s camp, while they prepare for the release their debut album, '6 Pounds of Sound'. The group recently announced they have recruited Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden to handle bass duties for their upcoming World Tour. The group’s video for the track “Apple Juice” can be seen below.

Live Date:
Oct 24 – Las Vegas, NV @ Wasted Space

Taintstick Declare War Against Tim McGraw
September 25, 2009
Taintstick has declared war against country singer Tim McGraw and his new album 'Southern Voice'. The band is currently calling for McGraw's retirement in a new challenge issued by the band today.

"Look, McGraw – you've had a good run. 40 million sold and eleven consecutive number one albums. You've even got a famous wife chick, so we got nothing but love for you. Cowfucker's Mom even went to one of your concerts one time and said you put on a good show, but enough’s enough. Taintstick is here to hunt big game, and you're directly in the bullseye," said the band in a statement. "So let's do this; 'Southern Voice' vs 'Six Pounds of Sound' winner take all. Whomever sells more gets the glory, while the loser goes home forever. You in?"
