Sworn Enemy Guitarist Announces Departure, New Band
December 7, 2009
Sworn Enemy's Lorenzo Antonucci (guitars, vocals) announces his departure from the band after a decade of aggression and continues on with his new endeavor Smashface, who will soon begin recording their debut effort at Rockhard Studios in Austria with acclaimed producer Daniel Castleman (Destroy The Runner, Winds Of Plague). For additional information stay tuned to http://www.myspace.com/smashfaceband

Antonucci
states: "Hey everybody, after a decade of being in Sworn Enemy I've come to an extremely hard decision: parting ways with the band and longtime friend/partner Sal LoCoco (vocals). This band has allowed me the opportunity to see the world and provided many countless, good memories that I will never forget. Sworn Enemy has been my baby since the beginning in 2000 and I've put everything that I had into it, giving it my all. It took me a long time to think this through, but after a grueling 75 day tour in the states, I just lost it and had had enough. I will always love the band and will always be a part of Sworn Enemy, as well as try to write as much as I can for the band if they continue on without me.

"I will continue on with music and as some of you may have heard already, I have a new project with Chris Storey (ex-All Shall Perish) and another amazing shredder Sean Swafford. The band is called Smashface and I'm handling all the vocal duties. I also have a recording studio with my girlfriend (Lidija Lychee) and am also taking guitar lessons from Chris Storey; The man that got me shredding."

Sworn Enemy Post New Song Online, Launch New Myspace Page
May 15, 2009
Sworn Enemy are one of those few bands that can never be derailed, no matter how many obstacles and hardships are thrown at them. They now return with their most uncompromising and vicious offering yet, 'Total World Domination', which is set for a June 16th North American release and a June 22nd release throughout Europe. This new effort perfectly blends the band’s old-school, beat you down hardcore style with a thrash metal infusion resulting in material that will tear your face off. The scathing new track, “Still Hating,” is now streaming at the band’s newly designed MySpace page. Prepare to be annihilated.

These maniacs recently embarked on a massive North American headlining tour, Trendkilla 09. The run, which kicked off on May 1st also features For The Fallen Dreams, ABACABB, Suffokate and Thick As Blood in the supporting slots. Either see below or visit their MySpace page to view their complete touring itinerary.

Lorenzo Antonucci (guitars) further comments: “It’s been a long time coming, we haven't hit North America in over a year. We are very excited to be playing all the markets we are hitting on this run because most of them we have never even played before. We are playing the Blood For Blood cover song that we recorded for our new album exclusively for Europe, but the people in the U.S. can catch it live. We have some amazing new Mamaluke TV footage coming soon. Just wait, you won’t believe this shit.

“This is also our test ground for playing the new songs off of our new album, 'Total World Domination', which is our hardest album yet. It’s a good mix of 'As Real As It Gets' and 'Maniacal', but fucking harder. I know everyone says that their new album is the best album yet and the fans are probably sick of hearing that but I must say this is a pretty fucking ignorant album. The kids have been going off for the new stuff and it’s awesome to play live.”

This new effort perfectly blends the band’s old-school, beat you down hardcore style with a thrash metal infusion resulting in material that will tear your face off. Prepare to be annihilated.

These Brooklyn-based maniacs are currently wrapping up a very successful European trek and will embark on a massive North American headlining tour, Trendkilla 09, this spring. This Trendkilla line up is just as awesome as we are taking out For The Fallen Dreams, ABACABB, Suffokate and Thick As Blood. This will be a mosh explosion. Sworn Enemy Prepare To Enter The Studio With Tim Lambesis
December 11, 2008
Sworn Enemy are one of those few bands that can never be derailed, no matter how many obstacles and hardships are thrown at them. The band spent the majority of 2008 touring the world with such acclaimed acts as Hatebreed, Earth Crisis, Divine Heresy, Terror, among countless others in support of their latest effort, 'Maniacal', which was widely renowned as the group’s best and heaviest offering yet.

Now less than a year since that album’s release, the band are preparing to enter the studio once again with longtime producer Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying vocalist). Their relentless schedule begins by heading to San Diego to start recording on January 3rd, which will be immediately followed up by a 44 show European tour with Freya (Karl from Earth Crisis), Waking The Cadaver and Cool Dudes Chillin, followed by treks of Israel, Australia, Japan and Korea. This will be followed by the Trendkilla II tour in late April/May throughout North America (Bands TBA). Look for their much anticipated new effort in stores spring 2009.

Lorenzo Antonucci (guitars, vocals) further comments: “I'm very excited about this album because our writing process has been better then ever. I've been a part of all the writing for every record and I feel this is our best foundation yet. We took it back to 'As Real As It Gets' with a little of 'BOTE' and 'Maniacal' in it. The sound is way faster and more pissed off then ever, harder then ever and a lot more ignorant. It's going to be fun working with Tim again. This will be the third album he's been apart of. This also marks our first recording with Sid (bass) and JRad (drums), so we are all very excited about that. This record will be a great one!”

Be sure to stay tuned to www.myspace.com/swornenemy for video reports from the studio and current news items.

Lorenzo Antonucci Launches 'Mamaluke TV'
October 16, 2008
The infamous Lorenzo Antonucci (guitarist of Sworn Enemy) is known worldwide for his enthusiasm for a good time, which sometimes (well, all the time) escalates to a level of pure insanity. He recently channeled all of his extra energy and time to creating an outside of the box, no holds barred type of TV show, appropriately named Mamaluke TV, that is definitely going to take many by surprise. This show is a behind-the-scenes, uncensored look into life of maniacs on the road as Lorenzo asks the questions few are willing to ask. Click here to check out the hilarious debut episode.

Antonucci further comments: “This is Lorenzo from the Mamaluke TV show, some of you may know me from the band Sworn Enemy and some of you may know me as the animal at a show or in the streets. This is my TV show that interviews band members from all kinds of genres in the metal and hardcore world, musician to musician. I'm out there interviewing my friends and other band members about everyday life on the road, and of course I live it as well, so I know the real deal. There's some funny shit that happens so my plan is to bring this madness to the masses.

Mamaluke TV’s inaugural episode features my interview with hardcore legend Scott Vogel (vocals) of Terror taken from this past year’s “Firestorm Fest” tour. The next few episodes will feature interviews with Maurizo (vocals) of Kataklysm, James (vocals) of Origin, John (vocals) of Warbringer and Karl of Earth Crisis.

“Listen, I’m a mamaluke, you’re a mamaluke. This is an interactive show for everyone to be a part of. We’re going to update you with who we plan on interviewing over the next few months with hopes of you sending in some questions for us to ask. If you have an idea: send them, you have a question: send them to our MySpace page. I’ve been touring over eight years and I’ve become very close with lots of people in the scene. Let me know who you want me to interview or what you think can make the show better. I hope you enjoy the first episode and it only gets crazier from here. Enjoy.”

SWORN ENEMY are one of those few bands that can never be derailed, no matter how many obstacles and hardships are thrown at them. They now return with their most uncompromising and vicious offering yet, Total World Domination, which perfectly blends the band’s old-school, beat you down hardcore style with a thrash metal infusion resulting in material that will tear your face off. This also marks our first recording with Sid (bass) and JRad (drums), so we are all very excited about that. We couldn’t be more proud of this effort and prepare to have your faces melted!”

SWORN ENEMY has returned with a scathing new assault that is unquestionably their most impressive and destructive release yet. This offering takes the group’s sound to new heights, which sees them embracing a thrashier edge and pummeling the listener with unrivaled aggression at times reminiscent of thrash titans like Exodus and Testament, as well as early Megadeth and Anthrax. Total World Domination was co-produced once again by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis and the renowned Daniel Castleman (Destroy The Runner, Winds Of Plague).

These maniacs recently wrapped up a very successful European trek as well as a massive North American headlining tour, dubbed Trendkilla Tour 09, this past spring. The run, which kicked off on May 1st also features For The Fallen Dreams, ABACABB, Suffokate and Thick As Blood in the supporting slots.

Formed in Queens, NY in 1997, it didn’t take long for the music world to take notice of SWORN ENEMY’s crushing sound and delivery. While the hardcore underground boiled with excitement over the band, SWORN ENEMY recorded their debut EP, Negative Outlook, for Stillborn Records, the label of Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), in 2001. With overwhelming positive reactions from fans and critics alike, the EP pushed the band to the frontlines of proud New York hardcore/metal acts. The group quickly embraced an undying touring schedule with acts such as God Forbid, Hatebreed, Unearth, D.R.I., American Nightmare and many more.

As the band’s popularity grew, they signed to Elektra Records in early 2003 and released their debut full-length, As Real As It Gets, which was a lesson in brutal metal/hardcore crossover. They earned a coveted spot on Ozzfest that ultimately exposed them to an entirely new open-minded audience and proved to be their biggest break yet. Major high profile tours alongside Slipknot and Fear Factory soon followed.

Parting ways with Elektra, but undeterred in their quest for delivering no-frills, metallic hardcore, the band signed to Abacus Recordings and prepared to drop their sophomore record, The Beginning Of The End, like a battering ram of violence. Produced by Tim Lambesis (frontman for As I Lay Dying), engineered by Steve Russell and mixed by Zeuss (The Red Chord, Shadows Fall), The Beginning Of The End pulverized even the most calloused listener.
