The
Thrash & Burn European Tour, presented by
Imperial Clothing in conjunction with
Avocado Booking and
Outerloop Management, have announced the tour’s inaugural run in Europe.
The
Thrash & Burn European tour aims to give the underground metal fan an inexpensive way to see a diverse package of the most relevant bands today.
Darkest Hour and
Bleeding Through will be supported by
Beneath the Massacre,
Carnifex,
War From a Harlot’s Mouth,
Arsonists Get All the Girls and
Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky.
Thrash & Burn European Tour Organizer
Mike Mowery said, “Following the overwhelming success of the
Thrash & Burn Tour in the USA last summer, it was only a matter of time before we decided to launch the branded tour in Europe. Just as we did with the inaugural run in the USA last summer, our goal for the European tour is to provide an inexpensive day of metal, thrash and punk.
”
Darkest Hour’s unofficial moniker
'Live To Thrash, Thrash To Live' made them a perfect fit to co-headline the tour. Guitarist
Mike Schleibaum had this to say: “
Darkest Hour is excited to co-headline this year’s inaugural
Thrash & Burn European Tour. Touring with younger bands has always been something we have been about. It's a good way to keep metal evolving and progressing.
We are stoked to be able to tour along with good friends
Bleeding Through and of course, we look forward to hanging and partying with all of our older European friends and the new friends we will soon make!”
Darkest Hour has not been in Europe since September of 2007, when they were the main support for
As I Lay Dying. This will be the band’s first and only European Tour headlining on their
'Deliver Us' Album (2007 –
Victory Records).
Bleeding Through’s Brandan Schieppati echoed
Darkest Hour’s sentiments: "We are really happy to be returning to Europe and co-headlining with our friends in
Darkest Hour on the excellent
Thrash & Burn European tour. We think the tour line-up is one that will blow people away.
”
Bleeding Through is fresh off the heels of a European tour supporting
Bullet for My Valentine and
Lacuna Coil. Like co-headliners
Darkest Hour,
Bleeding Through has toured Europe extensively. Last summer, the band performed on many of the larger festivals throughout Europe, including the
Download Festival in the UK.
Beneath The Massacre and
Carnifex are no strangers to Europe either. The former just completed a nearly sold-out run with
Cryptopsy, while the latter just finished the
Altamont Never Say Die Tour. Rounding out the bill are a few bands that European fans have been eagerly anticipating:
Arsonists Get All The Girls,
War From A Harlots Mouth, and
Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky.
Thrash & Burn European Tour Organizer
Ivonne Davies-Kreye of
Avocado Booking expressed excitement about the tour as well: “We’ve chosen a number of outstanding bands whose sounds and dynamics compliment each other very well, yet we’ve kept it diverse enough so there’s something for the shredders, the moshers and the scenesters alike. With yet another crushing line-up, we expect for the
Thrash & Burn European Tour to be as successful as our other festival tour,
Never Say Die! Audiences can look forward to a bill so devastating that any extreme music fan in and around Europe won't forget anytime soon.
”The
Thrash & Burn European Tour will be presented by
Imperial Clothing, an up-and-coming merchandise and clothing company with strong ties to the underground hardcore and metal community.
Martin Böttcher from
Imperial Clothing commented, "We are proud to be able to participate in the first run of the
Thrash & Burn European tour. The roster kills and the kids will have the chance to enjoy an evening full of riffing, moshing, and grinding.
Imperial Clothing will be present at every venue to have a party with all the fans. So be prepared for some surprises!"
