Sonic Syndicate Announce New Vocalist
August 25, 2009
After having multiple chart entries all over Europe with their latest album 'Love And Other Disasters', Sonic Syndicate directly attacked the world supporting Nightwish on their US tour, In Flames throughout Europe followed by a co-headlining tour with Swedish fellas and labelmates Deathstars and more. After an intense year of touring the band received news that singer Roland Johansson is calling it quits in late April.

Without delay, the band and management contacted Bandit Rock Radio, Stockholm to announce the news and team up for what has become something more then they could ever have hoped for. A diamond in the rough, a soul mate, a kick ass fucking singer that has so much hunger and talent to take the band to places they could never reach before.

Thousands of submissions, countless auditions, hours of horror and an amazing partnership with Bandit Rock, Sonic Syndicate would like to introduce to you their new singer, Mr Nathan J Biggs (Born 1986. Shrewsbury, UK).

Sonic Syndicate
commented: "The search is over and the band is complete once again! Nathan is probably the best thing that ever happened to Sonic Syndicate since the discovery of distorted guitars and the work we've done together is by far the best we've achieved to date! He's like the long lost brother we never had and has also fused the rest of us together more closely than before. The rebellion has begun!"

commented: "Something incredible and totally unpredictable has happened here! Not only have I managed to land myself in one the most promising bands in the world, I've gained a new family too. The energy between Sonic and I is electric and its producing some breath taking results. We're taking it to the next level - Don't blink or you'll be running to catch up with us!"

The band will be releasing a new EP called 'Rebellion', which contains two brand new songs ("Burn This City", "Rebellion In Nightmareland") featuring Nathan, on November 6th this year, which comes together with the latest album 'Love And Other Disasters' as an all-in-one-package. The cover artwork to 'Rebellion' will be done by Gustavo Savez of Abstrata art.

Sonic Syndicate
is planning to hit the road this fall so get ready, the rebellion has begun. A new album is due in April / May 2010, so stay tuned.

Swedish melodic metallers, Sonic Syndicate, have issued the following update via the band's Official Myspace Blog:

"Today, March 30th, Sonic Syndicate regrets to announce that Roland has decided to leave Sonic Syndicate due to personal reasons beyond our control. All of us in Sonic Syndicate wish Roland the best of luck in the future and we plan to continue our friendship / brotherhood outside the band. Thank you for all the hard work, and the good / bad times we had together.

Today we have started the search for a new singer. All of us in Sonic Syndicate are so full of energy and we can't wait to get a new member / family member into the band and continue our long life dreams. The last two years have been more then amazing for us, we've seen half the world, meet so many great fans and made even more along the way. You guys are what keeps us alive and makes life exciting.

Yesterday, the five of us sat down and agreed that our search should not be limited to our inner circle. Some bands have a knack for writing a few catchy songs, SONIC SYNDICATE however possess the rare ability to spin aural gold. To say their music is infectious is an understatement. Upon hearing Only Human the only way to forget it is a costly lobotomy by Dr. Blast himself. For those the rest of us without health insurance, or stuck with a lousy HMO, there is no forgetting the undeniable hooks of SONIC SYNDICATE.

SONIC SYNDICATE was founded in 2002 under the original moniker FALLEN ANGELS. In 2003 the band recorded three demos, two of which were recorded at Studio Mega (THE CROWN, BESEECH, LAKE OF TEARS). After the success of those recordings and various shows throughout Scandinavia, word would soon spread across the globe about this more than promising new act.

In December of 2004, the band changed their name to SONIC SYNDICATE and signed with the upstart North American label, Pivotal Records. The group released their debut album, Eden Fire, in the Fall of 2005 to a more than welcome response. With their ferocious blend of Swedish melodic metal and American hardcore, SONIC SYNDICATE proved to be one of metals most promising new acts. Compared with that album to an impressive laundry list of bands such as IN FLAMES, SOILWORK, CHILDREN OF BODOM, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE etc. it was obvious this band was a serious contender.

In 2006, NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS took note of this underground sensation and offered them a new home. The band entered Black Lounge Studio in Sweden that same year with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY). From the crisp production to the unique artwork by Koma-Design (LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES), Only Inhuman sees the band taking their vision to new heights. Along with a live performance that has earned them the right to share the stage with such acts as ARCH ENEMY, EVERGREY, ENTOMBED, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and TRIVIUM, there is no stopping this devastating act.

Soon to be held in such high regards as the bands that spawned them, SONIC SYNDICATE is hands down one of the best new comers the scene has to offer. See why Anders Friden of IN FLAMES calls SONIC SYNDICATEs Only Inhuman, A new force in Swedish metal; melodies and songs for the melodic generation. A monster of an album!
