"There is a lot going on in the land of Arsis these days,” states the band’s founding member/guitarist/lead vocalist Jim Malone.
“For starters, we will be heading overseas in a few weeks for our first European tour ever where we have the pleasure of sharing the stage with Morbid Angel, Kataklysm, Marduk, and Keep of Kalessin. We are all so excited for this!
Since the departure of Noah Martin from the band, we have been performing with a new bassist named Nick Cordle. I can not say enough good things about Nick; he is truly an amazing musician. Aside from being a great bassist, he fucking rips on guitar. He is without a doubt one of the best musicians I have ever had a chance to play with.
We would also like to thank Shawn Priest for playing drums with us for the past four months and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Starting with the European tour, we will be working with drummer David Kinkade, formerly of Malevolent Creation and Divine Empire. David also plays drums in Borknagar and I feel that we’ll be working with him for a long time. He is one the most ‘real’ people that I have ever met. Look for Arsis on a headlining tour of The States in the late winter. Hope to see you at a show!"
Drummer David Kinkade comments on his joining the band: "I am very excited to join the ranks of Arsis. James, Ryan and I have many of the same influences and goals in what we want out of a band and in our overall drive for music. The tunes are fun to play and I can’t wait to see what the future brings with these phenomenal musicians. The set list is sounding sick at rehearsal and I trust that the upcoming tour, being Arsis' European debut, will CRUSH Europe. As posted last week, I have also joined Borknagar as the new full-time drummer. Neither of the obligations in both bands will interfere with each other. Just expect a lot of activity on my end in these next few months. See you all on tour."
Bassist Nick Cordle adds: "It's a huge honor and thrill to join Arsis! The shows so far have been a pretty damn good time and it's a great privilege to play & hang with James, Ryan, and David. Arsis have been a favorite band of mine for many years now and to be able to play a role in its future is quite excellent. I'm drawing a huge amount of energy from the atmosphere in the band both musically and personally -- we are deadly focused and out for blood! The European tour is going to be truly wicked!" |

Directed by Maxime Hebert of ProxyMite Productions, the brand new Kataklysm music video for the track "Blood In Heaven" will be unleashed to the world on Wednesday, November 26th!
"Blood In Heaven" will be the second video made in support of the group's latest album, 'Prevail', which was released earlier this year and was honored as "Album Of The Year" in the "Metal/Hardcore" category at the Quebec Indie Music Awards.
Starting November 27th, Kataklysm will be joining the MetalFest Tour alongside Morbid Angel, Marduk, Keep of Kalessin, and Arsis.
Throughout the tour, there will be special guests on select dates such as Aborted, Belphegor, Thyrfing, Hackneyed, Hail of Bullets, and more!

Guns N’ Roses will be world premiering their long-awaited new album, 'Chinese Democracy', on their MySpace page tonight at 12AM EST. The album will be hitting Best Buy stores exclusively on November 23rd.
The band leaked a new song, “Better,” earlier this week and the title track single is all over radio.

Order Of Ennead has been added to the lineup of Winterfest 2009, a European tour that also features the likes of Deicide, Vader, Samael, Devian and The Amenta.
Having teamed up with Deicide for a few special one-off dates all across the world, Order Of Ennead is now gearing up for a full scale European assault that will begin in January 2009. The band who counts Deicide's Steve Asheim, Jack Owen and Kevin Quirion among their ranks are excited to bring their uniquely introspective blend of black and death metal to their European fans every night of the tour.
Order Of Ennead guitarist/vocalist Kevin Quirion commented on the band's participation in Winterfest 2009: "Order Of Ennead is very excited to be added to this tour. The line-up is pretty killer and we can't wait to check out the other bands. We are even trying to add an extra week of dates while we are over there so look out for those soon."

Well I must say this week leaves me feeling SPECIAL, seriously as the other two films in release Friday are DISNEY's BOLT and SONY's TWILIGHT and I have absolutely no interest in seeing either or. Not to say they are bad movies, not at all (of course I am not saying they are good either) but they simply are not made for a 28 year old male who isn't into goth music or Miley Cyrus, which is fine. The Miley-Goths need movies too, so this is totally their weekend to go out in droves and remind the world why it is better these people stay at home on the computer rather than injecting themselves into our everyday lives. So yes M@ is all about the MAGNET release SPECIAL this weekend and if you get the chance you should too! Other than that I have nothing more to say, so as always you can head to the official LOUDSIDE pages for each of the films coming to theatres on Friday for more info, official sites, trailers and all that fun junk!

You know how I know DON CHEADLE is a badass??? No, not because he knocked Terrence Howard out of IRON MAN 2 (even though I will say that is a very good call as Mr. Howard just didn't work for me in IRON MAN at all!) But how one can truly gage DON CHEADLE's badass-ity is that his newest film TRAITOR which was in theatres this past August is due to hit DVD and Blu-ray High Def on December 19th. Now for some this might not sound odd... and to those I say take a quick look at your calendar and you will find the 19th of December is in fact a Friday not a Tuesday as most every other release falls suit to. But no Mr. Cheadle and his kick ass film TRAITOR flipped the proverbial finger to Tuesday and said Friday is our day!
So yes my fellow LOUDSIDE constituents DON CHEADLE is indeed a badass, if you don't believe me just wait till the 19th of December! |

On March 3rd, 2009 WARNER PREMIERE, DC COMICS and WARNER BROS. ANAIMATION are set to release the all-new animated original movie WONDER WOMAN on single disc DVD, 2 Disc Special Edition and Blu-ray High Def!
