Scale The Summit To Embark On June Dates
May 30, 2010
Houston's instru-metalists Scale The Summit will embark on a short run of dates on June 16th that will take them to the free "Make Music Pasadena Festival," in Pasadena, CA on June 19th and back. These are the band's first live shows since headlining the inaugural Prosthetic Records' showcase at Austin's South By Southwest in March, where they debuted a brand new song, and completing the Between The Buried and Me's US headline run along with Cynic and The Devin Townsend Project. The band has been writing the follow up to 2008's 'Carving Desert Canyons', which Metal Edge called, "Some of the most twisting, shapely prog-metal in America."

Guitarist Chris Letchford commented, "We're really excited about this short headlining run out to the 'Make Music Pasadena' festival in southern California. We have been at home writing for a couple months now after the BTBAM/Cynic/Devin Townsend tour ended earlier this year. It has been amazing; we're almost finished with all of the guitar parts and have just begun work on a lot of the drum and bass parts. Writing couldn't be moving along any smoother and its awesome to see the direction this album is taking us. We're really branching out our ideas, colors, and feeling for this next album. We're all looking forward to getting back out on the road and playing a few of our new creations for everyone in couple weeks!"

See the band at the following dates, before they begin recording:
6/16 - Emo's Alterative Lounge- Austin, TX
6/18 - Cheyenne Saloon- Las Vegas, NV
6/19 - Make Music Pasadena Fest- Pasadena, CA
6/20 - Nile Underground- Mesa, AZ
6/22 - Lola's- Ft. Worth, TX

Atlanta's Withered will be providing a soundtrack of their signature blackened doom, before they head into the studio to record the follow up to the critically acclaimed, 'Folie Circulaire'. Seattle's Book Of Black Earth are making an appearance before they also hit the studio to record a new full length. LA's The Funeral Pyre just wrapped up in the studio for a summer release, and they'll be playing third. Opening the night will be special guests Denver's Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire and Austin's own Lions Of Tsavo.

The label will be giving away two signed guitars, courtesy of Epiphone; one at the show and one in the near future. There will also be Sailor Jerry drink specials throughout the night.

Between the Buried And Me Annouce Global Tour Dates
December 22, 2009
Celebrated progressive rock / cutting-edge metal band Between The Buried And Me (BTBAM) has announced multi-continental tour dates in support of its critically acclaimed new album, 'The Great Misdirect'.

On January 8, 2010, Between The Buried And Me will launch a full scale North American headlining tour. Produced by Live Nation and presented by Killer Tours, the BTBAM winter whirl will run through February 6 in Charlotte, NC and features support from Cynic, Devin Townsend Project and Scale the Summit. The tour's official admat can be viewed at this location.

Immediately following the North American headlining trek, BTBAM will kick off a European tour alongside Lamb of God. The month long tour will begin on February 9 in Birmingham, UK and will criss-cross the continent, wrapping with a bang on March 12 in Lund, Sweden. Straight off the tour with LoG, Between The Buried And Me will embark upon a tour of Japan with The Red Chord as support. At the conclusion of the Japan dates, BTBAM will head to Australia for a string of major market live performances. A special one off show in Hawaii on April 1 will conclude the massive globe trot.

Additionally, Between The Buried And Me has completed work on the first music video from 'The Great Misdirect'. The gripping clip for the new BTBAM song "Obfuscation" can be absorbed now below.

Merging unparalleled musical bravery, prodigious musicianship, flawless execution and an angular landscape of forward thinking ideas, Between The Buried And Me reinvent the rock 'n roll idiom while pleasing their harshest critics: themselves. Joining metal's dexterity and progressive rock's forward-looking action, BTBAM create spine-tingling sound that contains visceral power, labyrinthine arrangement, mind-boggling melody and majestic beauty. Since its inception, the band has proven itself as a progressive rock pacesetter whose modernist clang pegs it as a paradigm to be followed and a yardstick by which other bands are measured.
