Each band is preparing for the trek in their own way but all are equally excited to hit the road with one another. Orange, CA’s Eye Alaska singer Brandon Wronski says, “I grew up listening to Saosin and going to their shows since junior high so this years PacTour is like a dream come true. Being able to tour with a band that helped get me into music as a kid is the best feeling ever. The diversity in the line-up is really what drew me in. Everything from Saosin to P.O.S. I have always said that "the genre is a thing of the past in the music of the future", and this tour just proves it. People are starting to catch on to that idealism, but it will take time.”

"I love touring with different kinds of bands, says P.O.S.. That’s really what this tour is about for me is playing in front of crowds that don't expect us to sound like we do, and aren’t ready- then making them ready,” said P.O.S.Innerpartysystem and Saosin are good friends of mine from previous tours. I like the wide range of styles represented in the lineup, and it’s even better to have friends around. But really what it’s gonna be about for me is finding the people in the room who have never seen a hip hop show and trying to melt their faces off with rap."

Innerparysystem says, "We are really excited for the PacTour! After spending the entire summer on the Vans Warped Tour, we became great friends with both P.O.S. and the guys in Saosin. We are definitely amped to spend the next two months playing shows with great friends on a really cool tour."

In addition to the battle of the bands contest, PacSun is offering one lucky VIP winner the chance to fly to Los Angeles, spend the night in a hotel, receive VIP backstage access to the finally of the PacTour in Anaheim and go on a $1,000 shopping spree with Saosin at the local PacSun retailer. Second place winner to receive $500 and third place winner to receive a gift-pack from each band including their latest CD and signed t-shirt. Underoath Debut At #8 On Billboard Top 200
September 16, 2008
Underoath have entered the Billboard Top 200 Album chart at #8 with over 56,000 copies sold of their much-anticipated 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' album, available in regular and special editions. Marking the top rock debut for this week, 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' also reached #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian albums chart and #5 on the Top Digital albums chart with over 9,476 digital downloads its first week. The special edition version of 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' includes: 10-page booklet, 40-minute making-of DVD with never before seen footage as well as interviews with the band, producers Adam Dutkiewicz, Matt Goldman and mixer David Bendeth. The new album marks their fourth disc to be released on Seattle indie Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records.

By the end of September, 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' will also be released in at least 16 additional countries around the world including: Canada, U.K., Ireland, Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico.

The Billboard chart debut comes on the heels of Underoath’s 2006 gold-certified 'Define The Great Line'. “We spent over two years working on this record,” lead singer Spencer Chamberlain explains. “We’re really excited about how it turned out and can’t wait to share it with everyone.” By trusting their instincts, pushing their songcraft to the limit and meticulously perfecting it with Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage) and Matt Goldman (Copeland, The Chariot), alongside the skilled mixing of veteran David Bendeth, 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' is an epic achievement.

MTV2 premiered Underoath’s striking new video--with animation and stop-motion photography--for their first single “Desperate Times, Desperate Measures” on “You Rock The Deuce” and “Headbanger’s Ball.” The band appeared on Fuse’sSteven’s Untitled Rock Show” last week for the full hour. To view a portion of the interview visit: http://www.fuse.tv/ontv/shows/stevens-untitled-rock-show/. Also check out the video, directed by Walter Robot (Modest Mouse) below. Meanwhile, the single is set to impact Modern Rock and Active Rock radio beginning today (September 16).
