Samael Post New Video Clip Online
October 1, 2009
Swiss industrial black metallers Samael have uploaded the video clip for the track “Black Hole” to their Myspace page. The song comes off their latest record 'Above', which marks the groups return to their black metal roots. Lead singer and guitarist Vorph spoke a little bit recently about the style of the new video:

“If your favourite video clip from Samael is ‘Baphomet’s Throne’ you’re going to love the new ‘Black Hole’ video. It’s black and white with lots of live footage taken from the latest Swiss shows, all mixed up with various designs and animations. It has been filmed and edited by Sergeï Ulyanov, who happens to be the bass player of Makro’s death/doom metal band Sludge. We’ve tried to come up with something simple which would fit the intensity and aggressiveness of the song. The video is very dense and hard to digest at once. You’ve been warned!”

Samael Forced To Sit Out Moonspell Tour
September 22, 2009
Switzerland’s Samael will no longer be appearing alongside Moonspell on their North American tour this October/November. Taking their place will be Century Media recording artists Divine Heresy.

Samael have issued the following official statement:

“Unfortunately Samael will not be able come to North America this fall along with Moonspell. We’ve checked into every possibility with our booking agent and partners at Nuclear Blast but the financial costs are too deep into the red to make things work. We’d like to apologize to all our fans who were looking forward to seeing Samael live but rest assured that we are looking into coming over again in early 2010. We also want to express our deepest regret to our friends in Moonspell.”
