Smile Empty Soul Announce Tour Dates With Saliva, Buckcherry
August 10, 2009
Santa Clarita, CA based Smile Empty Soul is currently on the road performing to packed houses every night alongside metallic quintet Saliva throughout the month of August. The band is performing material from their upcoming new album “Consciousness”, which is slated for an August 25th release through F.O.F Label Group/EMI.

"We are so excited right now to be on the road promoting this record that we just poured our hearts and souls into," says Smile Empty Soul's Sean Danielsen. "The tour is going great and everyone is freaking out about the new material. We can't wait for the album to come out."

Smile Empty Soul's
Consciousness” was recorded in Los Angeles, CA by producer by Eddie Wohl (Anthrax, Ill Nino) and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Papa Roach). The album takes the signature hard rock sound that Smile Empty Soul has created with modern rock staples like "Bottom of a Bottle", "Nowhere Kids" and "Silhouettes" and hones it to perfection on new tracks “Don’t Ever Leave” and “Faker”.

Smile Empty Soul
, Monster Energy Drinks and Schecter Guitars have announced a contest for the group’s upcoming album “Consciousness”, where one lucky fan will win an exclusive performance from the band at the winner’s house. Fans that visit this location and purchase the group’s new single “Don’t Ever Leave” from iTunes will be automatically entered to win. The contest winner will be announced on Sept 30th, 2009 and the band will they play a private party for the winner at a date to be determined. Fans can also join The Monster Army at http://monsterarmy.loopd.com to get a free exclusive song download from “Consciousness” courtesy of Smile Empty Soul and Monster Energy Drinks.

The trio Smile Empty Soul (Sean Danielsen, vocals, guitar; Ryan Martin, bass; and Jake Kilmer, drums) has persevered through a series of obstacles that would have destroyed countless other bands. After reaching the heights of modern rock success on the group's gold certified 2003 self-titled debut, which unleashed the #1 single "Bottom Of A Bottle", Smile Empty Soul recorded their sophomore effort "Anxiety". The album never hit store shelves after the group’s lead single was protested by Christian Fundamentalist groups, who organized a letter campaign against the label’s parent company Warner Bros. After parting ways with their record label, the band re-tooled their line-up and recorded their third album “Vultures”, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 and at #14 on the Independent Album Charts. Since the group’s inception Smile Empty Soul toured relentlessly alongside some of rock’s biggest bands including Hinder, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mud, Saliva and Finger Eleven.

Saliva Release New Video, Reality Show In The Works
April 29, 2009
Multi-platinum hard-rockers Saliva have just released the official video for their new single, “How Could You.” The clip was directed by Scott Culver who has also helmed videos by Ludo and Hellogoodbye among others. The track comes off their latest album, 'Cinco Diablo', which hit stores in late 2008.

The Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne) produced set also yielded the radio hit, “Family Reunion” and “My Own Worst Enemy” which finds Saliva’s Josey Scott being joined by Shinedown vocalist Brent Smith. The band was scheduled to co-headline this year’s SnoCore tour but Scott had to be operated for an ulcer so Saliva had to bow out of the trek.

Saliva are also working on a reality show that they began filming footage for during the making of 'Cinco Diablo'. The candid look into their rock-n-roll lifestyle, the show will follow them out on the touring circuit and show viewers another side of the band. A pilot has been shot but here are no further details at this time. Expect Saliva to make an announcement in the next few months.

Static-X Sno-Core Tour Dates
February 24, 2009
Static-X and Saliva co-headline on Sno-Core, as it returns for its 13th year hitting the road April 1, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. The touring festival is the original winter lifestyle traveling fair featuring live music, and an integrated marketing experience.

Static-X will be hammering out their heaviest, most flammable work to date at Sno-Core 2009 in support of their new release, 'Cult Of Static', on Reprise Records. The album marries the band's aggressive driving force with disarming experimentation, a performance you do not want to miss.

Keeping the integral tones, Static-X encompasses shredding guitars with solos that have brought the band to a level of playing to be reckoned with. The cybernetic stomp of "Hypure" and "You Am I" bludgeon, bruise and break with precise grooves. Elsewhere, the staccato riffs on "Terminal" crush through an unmistakable guitar tone. Guitarist Koichi Fukuda blazes through incendiary solos, while Tony Campos bolts down demonic bass lines and Nick Oshiro pounds out deadly rhythms. Front-man Wayne Static riffs pure violence and screams out his soul.

“Over the years my voice has been destroyed from excessive touring... and I love it,” exclaims Static. “The vocals on the new record are raw and brutal.” The fiery raw quality of 'Cult Of Static' is blatant, as the first single “Stingwray” now on the airwaves is climbing to the top.

He didn't do anything wrong at all, we just owe it to ourselves and all the folks that grew up with us to put our original band back together. Clint has always been our brother and Sonny will always remain our brother as well. We are sorry to say goodbye to Sonny and I'm sure this will be tough on the fans that follow him, but we're excited about reuniting the original lineup of Sevendust." Morgan Rose, Drums

Multi-platinum Island Records’ five-man band Saliva has completed its aptly-titled fifth album, CINCO DIABLO, set to arrive in the physical and digital marketplace on December 16th – the ultimate alt-metal post-grunge must-have CD this twisted holiday season! The new album’s first single pick, “Family Reunion,” was #1 Most Added at Active Rock and Modern Rock radio and is already on over 75 stations at both formats.

In advance support of CINCO DIABLO, Memphis favorites Saliva continue their never-ending headlining tour schedule with Jet Black Stare, Drowning Pool, and Tantric through Nov. 11th (Veteran’s Day) in Texas. Saliva will play a halftime NBA homecoming gig at FedEx Forum in Memphis on Halloween, when the Grizzlies host the Magic.

CINCO DIABLO is the long-awaited followed to Blood Stained Love Story, Saliva’s fourth album, released nearly two years ago in January 2007. It gave the band the highest Soundscan debut of their career – #19-bullet on combined first week sales of 30,000 copies. The album also spun off one of Saliva’s highest-charting singles, “Ladies and Gentlemen,” which rose to #1 at Active Rock and #2 at Mainstream Rock. “Ladies and Gentlemen” was heard in a Sony Playstation commercial last year, and was also used in Wrestlemania and Ultimate Fighting show Wired. Saliva – singer and lyricist Josey Scott, guitarists Wayne Swinny and Jon Montoya, bassist Dave Novotny, and drummer Paul Crosby – was formed in Memphis in 1996, and issued their eponymously titled indie debut the next year. Their major label debut arrived on Island’s Uptown/Universal imprint in 2001, Every Six Seconds. It included their first charted rock single “Click Click Boom” and the Grammy-nominated #3 Mainstream Rock track, “Your Disease” (featured on the Dracula 2000 movie soundtrack). (Every Six Seconds, now available via the newly-relaunched Mercury Records label, received RIAA double-platinum certification in July 2008.)
