Rings Of Saturn Sign With Unique Leader Records
November 26, 2010
We brought these guys to your attention via our Underground Buzz feature ages before anyone else would even give them a single line of coverage... what's surprising about that? Not a damn thing! We're always one step ahead of the rest and keep an ear to the Underground... because we know legit fucking Metal when we hear it! Anyhow, here's the official press release... \m/

Northern California Aliencore Progenitors Rings Of Saturn have inked a deal with Unique Leader Records. The band's debut album, "Embryonic Anomaly", which was originally made available by the band in late May of this year, will be re-released on March 1, 2011. The CD was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson at Mayhemenness Studios in Sacramento, California and features artwork by Tony Koehl.

The otherworldly triumvirate known as Rings Of Saturn made its presence known in the late fall of 2009, posting a track entitled "Abducted" online for the world to take notice. The goal was to indoctrinate the metal masses using the world's most massive social networks to their advantage, and the project has been a huge success. From the launch of the first track to the unleashing of the virus known as "Embryonic Anomaly" in the following months, it didn't take long for the Aliencore infection to spread, creating a loyal following of "minions" whose devotion to the band was immediate and remains steadfast.

'Embryonic Anomaly' track listing:
01. Invasion
02. Seized And Devoured
03. Abducted
04. Final Abhorrent Dream
05. Corpses Thrown Across The Sky
06. Embryonic Anomaly
07. Annihilation The Pure
08. Grinding Of Internal Organs
09. End Of Humanity

In related news... The band will be offering a bonus track as a free download to all who pre-order or otherwise purchase a copy of the re-release in March. Stay tuned to the band's Facebook and Myspace pages for more info and updates.

Rings Of Saturn Invades Hot Topic!
September 6, 2010
Northern California's fast rising East Bay space tech death metallers, Rings Of Saturn, will see their debut album 'Embryonic Anomaly' unleashed in select Hot Topic stores this week. This edition of 'Embryonic Anomaly' was pressed exclusively for Hot Topic and will likely be the last chance to grab a physical copy, so be sure to hit your local store and grab yours while they're available. A list of locations where the cd will be available can be found here. In anticipation of the release, Rings Of Saturn have teamed up with www.Puregrainaudio.com to offer the track "Seized And Devoured" as a free download. Check out "Seized And Devoured" at this location.

Recorded at Mayhemeness Studios (Journal, Shadow Of The Colossus), 'Embryonic Anomaly' is an album that easily stands out amongst the clutter of todays 'core' dominated scene. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson (Aurora, Havenside, The Wrath Of Vesuvius), the album showcases a level of technical shred and knack for song structure that puts them on a level playing field with their more seasoned extreme metal peers. Artwork for 'Embryonic Anomaly' was handled by Tony Koehl (The Black Dahlia Murder, Dismal Lapse).

The track listing for 'Embryonic Anomaly' is as follows:
1. Invasion
2. Seized And Devoured
3. Abducted
4. Final Abhorrent Dream
5. Corpses Thrown Across The Sky
6. Embryonic Anomaly
7. Annihilating The Pure
8. Grinding Of Internal Organs
9. End Of Humanity

Rings Of Saturn
have gained praise and positive support from some of extreme metal's heavyhitters including Whitechapel, Conducting From The Grave, Viraemia and Slaughterbox. The band has also partnered up with an exclusive Management team comprised of Anthony Delgado (Loudside.com / RebelPyro Management) and Zach Householder (Whitechapel). Adding to their list of accomplishments, drummer Brent Silletto has landed an exclusive endorsement deal with Saluda Custom Cymbals, and guitarist Lucas Mann is set to become the latest addition to Basson's Artist Roster.

Though young and somewhat inexperienced, Rings Of Saturn's drive and determination remain steadfast. The band's consistent DIY promotion efforts coupled with a constant push from their Management team has created an undeniable buzz within the underground, and the band's live performances have proven that Rings Of Saturn are ready to set a new standard and redefine extreme metal for the next generation.

Rings Of Saturn Shredding Online; Live Shred Begins Tonight!!
July 11, 2010
Brent Silletto, the percussive wrecking machine for Northern California's tech death metal extremists, Rings of Saturn, has posted his own version of a "Betcha Can't Fucking Play This" style video online (this is more of my personal opinion, don't take that as gospel truth and go about leaving douchebag comments about how you 'can too' play it - Ed.). The video showcases the drum work for the song "Grinding of Internal Organs," from the band's independently released debut full length, 'Embryonic Anomaly'. Check out the video below.

With much hype surrounding them all over the interwebs (which of course includes a fair share of detractors) and without any real touring history to speak of, Rings Of Saturn have managed to built a solid supportive fanbase (and piqued the interest of some industry peeps as well) due to their focus on consistent DIY promotion and marketing. Something that most bands don't focus enough on. Because of this, there are a lot of positive things going on within the RoS camp and fans can expect some announcements to be made in the weeks to come.

The first of announcement came a few weeks ago... that being their first official show, which is going down tonight in Citrus Heights (Sacramento), CA. So anyone that's in that general area, be sure to head on out and take some friends too! Then watch Rings Of Saturn shred that shit live and get your face raped! And of course be sure to come back here and let us know how it went. Fellow local heavy hitters The Descolada Virus, The Kennedy Veil, and Decay Of Society round out the bill, so get there early and show some support for all the bands that are out there doing it on their own dime!

And of course, don't forget that 'Embryonic Anomaly' can be purchased directly from the band via links on their Myspace page as well as here on their Loudside profile page. CD's are in limited supply, so if you want to own the physical product, head on over to either page, whichever you prefer, and get to ordering. 'Embryonic Anomaly' is also available in digital format exclusively through Rings Of Saturn's Official Bandcamp page, where the album is also streaming in it's entirety. So head on over there, stream that shit and get the fuck into it!! Then do yourself a favor and order it!!

Memorial Day Weekend... Still Jamming RoS and Journal
May 30, 2010
Now that the fuckload of news posts (some new, mostly old shit you probably already read on other sites) has been brought back up to current, we will commence jamming some of the absolute best in Modern Metal that the underground has to offer... and yes I am talking about the Bay Area's Rings of Saturn and Sacramento's Journal, respectively.

Rings Of Saturn's debut full length album, 'Embryonic Anomaly', can now be purchased directly from the band via their Myspace page as well as here on their Loudside profile page. CD's are in limited supply, so if you want to own the physical product, head on over to their Myspace page or their Loudside page, whichever you prefer, and get to ordering. 'Embryonic Anomaly' is also now available in digital format and is being sold exclusively through Rings Of Saturn's Official Bandcamp page, which you can also find links to on both their Myspace and Loudside pages. Stream it below and get into it!! Then do yourself a favor and go order it!!

For fans in the Northern California area, Rings Of Saturn will be making their live debut in the weeks to come. Be sure to check their Myspace page for dates and show details so you can come out and support and witness the shredfest from these fast rising Tech Death Metallers.

Journal will also soon celebrate the release of their debut full length album, 'Unlorja', and have launched pre-orders on their Official Bandcamp page. The band will be selling 2 cd's for the extremely reasonable price of $20. One disc will contain the entire album with vocals, while the second disc will be an entirely instrumental version. Check out the 2 song streamer below and get the fuck into it. Then head on over to their Myspace page for more info... or better yet, just head on over to their Bandcamp page and place your orders. It's more than worth it for the price they're asking.

Also for anyone in the Northern California (Sacramento/Central Valley) area, be sure to head out to Journal's CD Release show on June 12th in Orangevale at The Boardwalk. They, alongside several other notable local acts, will be supporting Sumerian Records shredders, Conducting From The Grave as part of the 'Cap City Metalfest'. Get your tickets now and we'll see you in the Pit!!

Biography
YEAR FORMED: 2009
HOME TOWN: East Bay, CA
MEMBERS:
Lucas Mann - Guitars, Bass, Keys
Brent Silletto - Drums
Peter Pawlak - Vocals

The otherworldly triumvirate known as Rings of Saturn made their presence known in the late Fall of 2009, posting a track entitled 'Abducted' online for the world to take notice. The goal was to indoctrinate the metal masses using the world's most massive social networks to their advantage, and the project has been a huge success. From the launch of the first track to the unleashing of the virus known as 'Embryonic Anomaly’ in the following months, it didn't take long for the Aliencore infection to spread, creating a loyal following of 'minions' who's devotion to the band was immediate and remains steadfast.

'Embryonic Anomaly', which was Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson at Mayhemenness Studios in Sacramento, CA and features artwork by Tony Koehl (The Black Dahlia Murder, Dismal Lapse), was initially made available directly from the band to ensure that their 'minions' continued to be fully engaged. However, demand for the product increased and eventually required a larger pipeline for distribution, thus a deal was made to have 'Embryonic Anomaly' available exclusively at select locations of the well established company known as Hot Topic. Demand continues to grow as the band continues to gain support.

Regarding that support, Rings Of Saturn are now sponsored by the world's most notorious high energy beverage, Cocaine Energy Drink. Percussive wrecking machine, Brent Silletto, also managed to gain an endorsement with Saluda Custom Cymbals. And the face melting mastermind behind it all, Lucas Mann is endorsed by Halo Custom Guitars. The Triumvirate has also managed to gain praise and support from members of Tennessee's extreme metal titans, Whitechapel (Metal Blade), Northern California shredders Conducting From The Grave (Sumerian) and Slaughterbox (whose former guitarist Hal Rotter is responsible for designing the band's custom myspace layout), and Arizona's tech shred masters Viraemia.

And now the final phase is near completion. Unique Leader Records, home to a dominant force of the Underground Death Metal Elite, has agreed to unleash 'Embryonic Anomaly' on an unsuspecting planet on March 1st, 2011. The date has been set and you have been warned...

The Invasion was just the beginning... prepare to be abducted!
