Hailing from Omaha, NE Paria formed in the fall of 2001. After several member changes, Paria organized themselves enough to release a demo CD via Imagine It Records and tour throughout the Midwest. The band quickly became recognized for their extremely crushing and tight live performances. The band gained sizeable followings around their region which lead to opening spots for several national acts.

Paria have continually challenged themselves to grow stylistically and successfully merged many musical genres into their material. Despite their sound being rooted within metal and hardcore, their unique combination of each of these musical formats differentiates them from their other 'metalcore' peers and propels them to the forefront of the underground movement. Now with their debut full length Misanthropos in hand, the band has vowed to take their self-titled 'epic hardcore' to the masses.
