I had just got my license and drove up there to see him. I will never forget it," says OPM's John E Necro. "I got a chance to tell him that story in the studio. Writing a song with him was such an honor. He rolled up to the studio in his tour bus and we tracked his vocals then we had a ping-pong tournament and he kicked everyone's ass. He is truly an amazing person and was so easy to work
with. I feel blessed to have had that opportunity."

OPM Announces More Tour Dates In Sweet Home California
November 3, 2008
California rock-reggae are headed back home to the sweet California sunshine. The group, who are currently a two month tour with Silverback Music’s The Expendables and Rebelution, are celebrating their homecoming with a short tour of the golden state throughout the month of December.
"Just got back to the West Coast. We’ve made it all the way around the country one more time and have almost 300,000 tour miles on our van now. Although we got t-boned by a drunk driver last night, everyone is OK. The van has been through hell and now the side doors are smashed and don't quite shut properly. We are posting up in Portland for few days, taking the night off because we can't get into Canada due to marijuana charges in the past," says frontman John E Necro. "This tour has been awesome; it's a really great bill with the three bands. It is always great hanging out with the Expendables guys, as they are truly crazy and it's been a great experience getting to know the guys in Rebelution. We are definitely happy to be getting closer to home and looking forward to the Cali shows. We have been getting great feedback on the new record and we are stoked that everyone is feeling it."
OPM is running high from the release of the group’s fourth studio album “Golden State of Mind”, which was produced by J&A Productions. The album a musical melting pot of rock, reggae, hip-hop and laid back rhythm and grooves puts them in league with the likes of Sublime, 311, Pepper and Red Hot Chili Peppers. September 8, 2008
California rock-reggae hybrid OPM have debuted the video for the track “Dirty White” online at the following location http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_hZz-oJ-N0 . The song is taken from the group’s OPM upcoming fourth studio album “Golden State of Mind”, which is in stores now on Suburban Noize Records and available on iTunes at the promotional price of $5.99 for the full album download.
"We spent three days shooting this video in Hollywood and then another 48 hours straight to edit and produce the final product," says OPM frontman John E Necro. "The overall look is different than anything we have ever done. We are really excited, this is the first video off the new record. We feel the track is very unique and deserved a unique look for the video. It gets more and more chaotic as it goes on. We wanted to portray that crazy rock n' roll roller coaster ride; cocaine, champagne, up all night, it’s dirty white."

OPM Frontman Arrested During The DIY Tour
July 28, 2008
California based OPM have been turning heads all summer long performing tracks from their upcoming new album "Golden State Of Mind" as a part of the DIY Tour with HEDPE. The band recently caught the attention of local authorities in Saint Petersburg, FL this week when frontman JohnE Necro was arrested for criminal mischief. Authorities arrested Necro and later released him on $1,000 bail, after reports he allegedly spray painted a wall.
"I find it kind of ironic that Saint Petersburg, FL, home to the Salvador Dali museum, could be so insanely uptight about spray painting," says Necro. "In some areas Graffiti is regarded as a form of art worthy of display in galleries and exhibitions, but obviously the state of Florida feels differently."
California rock-reggae five piece OPM recently released the track "Tell Me What You Want" featuring Big B online at www.MySpace.com/Opm
our last record we went in a direction that down played the hip hop aspect a bit and I think that 'Golden State Of Mind' is a bit more back to our original roots of incorporating all of our influences from hip-hop, punk rock, reggae and rock and roll, " says frontman John E
Necro. "I think with Golden State of Mind we got a good balance of what we liked about both of those records. Lots of live performances from everybody, but we still found places for the big beats to fit in. Every album you do you get to learn from the last one. I think this one is the natural progression."
