Nodes Of Ranvier Sign With Victory Records
February 15, 2007
Victory Records has announced the signing of Sioux Falls, South Dakota's Nodes Of Ranvier.

Nodes Of Ranvier's last album for Facedown Records has sold over 15,000 copies since its late 2005 release. The band will be heading into the studio later this month to record their Victory Records debut, to be released this July

Commented band leader Jon Parker: "This band has been through many ups and downs in its seven-year existence. What started in a cramped room in my parents' basement has grown to international exposure. For a bunch of kids from South Dakota it has been quite a ride and we have achieved more than we ever originally imagined.

"We could not be any more excited about the opportunity to continue to do what we love with a label that understands what it means to have humble beginnings and achieve big dreams. This band will maintain its neck jerking pace and the material for our upcoming release will reflect our fluent ability to make music that drives this band forward. Nodes' main objective will continue to be to exude the energy on tour, in our live performances and in our records that we have for the love of what we do."

Victory owner Tony Brummel said: "I am proud and excited that Nodes Of Ranvier have decided to join us. Everyone at Victory loves hard music. We have been adding a lot of harder, metallic bands to our diverse roster and Nodes fits in nicely. They have always impressed me with their decency, work ethic and authentic musical passion. I have a lot of faith in them. Also, look for more info soon on a new site that we are developing called This site will be another outlet for promoting the harder side of the Victory roster."

Nodes Of Ranvier is: Jon Parker, Jake Stefek, Brady Murphy and Josh Ferrie.

Nodes Of Ranvier Bassist Choses To Leave Group
July 3, 2006
Nodes Of Ranvier bassist Terry Taylor has chosen to leave the group, here is his statement explaining his decision:

"Being in Nodes over the last couple years has been one of the most important things I have ever done with my life. I have been able to reach out and touch some of the most amazing people I have ever met. The kids that come to Nodes shows are some of the most beautiful people in the world. I feel very blessed that I was able to share the stage with all the fans and the 4 other members of Nodes. Touring had became harder and harder for me each tour. The stress of running a high maintenance business and the desire to have more stability at home had started to take its toll on me. At the end of our Still Remains tour, the Nodes guys and I knew that I had to decide what I wanted to do with my life. Being in a band is either all or nothing. I just did not feel like I could give the 100% that I owe Nodes and the fans. I have watched Nodes grow from a basement show band in our home town of Sioux Falls to a national touring act that has a rabid fan base. I would never want to feel like I was holding them back and that is exactly how I started to feel after these last couple tours. Leaving the band seemed like the best thing for all of us. I will still be involved with the band in other ways. I have the same desire to help Nodes go as far as they can, whether I am in the band or not. Playing music will still be a part of my life but just in a very smaller capacity through other projects I have. For all the Nodes fans, I will miss you more than I can ever put into words. Your involvement in my life has made me a much happier human being. What you have given me will always be in my heart. Please stay in contact. Many of you have become close friends and I do not want to lose that part of my life". Love always… Terry
