What's He Building In There? Announce Tour With Ninjaspy
September 25, 2009
Progressive metal force What's He Building In There? have announced the dates for their upcoming tour in Eastern Canada with Vancouver based Ninjaspy. Consisting of over twenty shows, the trek begins September 30th in Waterloo, Ontario and will be capped off with an insane Halloween show in Montreal, Quebec on October 31st.
When asked about the tour in a recent interview, the band responded, "We have some new material we're going to be playing at these shows - some of it has never been played live before. I think the new stuff will shock and surprise most people who hear it in a very satisfying way. We've spent the summer focusing on expanding our abilities as musicians, and as a band."

What's He Building In There? are currently touring in support of their self-titled debut album, which was released on Year of the Sun Records. The group's genre bending eclectic sound has drawn comparisons to Between The Buried and Me, Mike Patton, Tool, and Primus. Their debut was named one of the Top 10 albums of 2007 by who said the record was, "essential for any tech metal enthusiast." The group's video for "Avian Taxi" can be viewed below. The band is currently writing new material for their sophomore album which is expected to surface in early 2010.

Since the beginning of 2007, Ninjaspy has been the buzz band in Vancouver and has performed alongside such notables as Thrice, Protest The Hero, Bring Me The Horizon, Cancer Bats, Grimskunk, Pierce The Veil, 3 Inches of Blood and more. Their explosive growth is due in large part to the band's intensely loyal fan base they built from the ground up through hard touring and on MySpace and YouTube. Ninjaspy's potent Hardcore/Ska/Funk sound, skilled musicianship, energetic live shows and sense of style has led to over 200,000+ plays of their music on their MySpace artist profile page.

Ninjaspy are touring in support of their debut release 'Pi Nature', which is currently receiving high praise and added spins daily on Rock radio including The Fox 99.3FM and College radio Nationwide. 'Pi Nature' was Produced and Mixed by GGGarth Richardson, best known for his masterful work on the debut album from Rage Against The Machine, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mudvayne and Gallows.

We live in an age of misunderstanding. Music is chained to the image of its creators, and ninja are commonly perceived as heartless human weapons whose skills, like those of artists, are cheaply bought and sold. In most music, there is a deviation from real human connection. In life, there is an imaginary division of mind, body and spirit. True freedom of expression is strangled by social choke holds imposed by tides of opinion. To survive this one must adapt, evolve and re-connect themselves to their human nature. One must reunite music with dancing, mind with body and thought with action. One must become each moment, invisible yet vivid. Become nothing, immune to judgment. In correlation with a commitment to real, reciprocal human connection and zero-ego, high-energy, free-expression dance pits, support for the way of the Ninjaspy grows each time we have the honor of sharing our crafts with others. In the world of Ninjaspy, “the skank” can be defined as the negativity inside each one of us that inhibits us from feeling free to love and express ourselves. To survive we must throw the skank down until we die.
