Daath Prepare For North American Summer Touring Onslaught
June 25, 2009
The Atlanta based modern metal quintet, DÅÅTH, are currently preparing for an all out assault of North America as they continue their worldwide touring onslaught throughout the summer on “The Conquer and Curse” tour with Goatwhore, Abigail Williams, SWWAATS and Abysmal Dawn. Be sure to visit http://www.myspace.com/daath to view their complete touring itinerary. The group also just launched a new webisode which can be viewed below.

Eyal Levi (guitars) states: “I’m writing this update because there are so many new and amazing things going on in DÅÅTH land right now that letting you guys in on all of it in an organized fashion would really be helpful. So first off, we are excited as fuck to be seeing you guys on tour! We are hitting the road this week on ‘The Conquer and Curse’ tour. We’ve traveled with lots of bands and I gotta say that in the early days especially, it was hard to get any respect. Which is cool. We understand. You have to earn it. Goatwhore were the first band to treat us with respect and really helped to show us the ropes on how to tour. Not to mention the fact that they’re one of the greatest metal bands America has to offer. Their drummer Zack Simmons is going to be filling in on drums for us on this tour. We’ve practiced with him twice and it sounds fierce! Our songs sound four shots of whisky and three rails of coke meaner.

“In other news, Emil Werstler (guitars) and I are going to be featured in the Sept. issue of Guitar World, which hits stands this week. We did a lesson for them that is on the CD-ROM that comes with the magazine. Be sure to pick that up if you want to see us dissect some of our own material for you. Emil also did a ‘Betcha Can’t Play This’ video clip, which you can check out here. Emil has also been going around giving clinics and advice on how to get better at guitar while simultaneously blowing people’s minds with his superhuman abilities. Check this out below, from a PRS clinic he did in Manhattan last month.

“I just launched my weekly/bi weekly blog entitled ‘Eyal Levi’s Jumping Darkness Parade’ over at Metalsucks.net. So far we’ve covered van accidents, plane crashes, tour bus crashes, getting loaded before going on stage, my thoughts on strip clubs and a town hall meeting about metal related injuries. That was spawned by my latest. A broken rib, which will just have to be ignored while I conduct business on ‘The Conquer and Curse’ tour. Read up! Leave me some comments. Call me a piece of shit. Lets argue. It’ll be fun. You can find all of those entries here. We look forward to seeing you all soon.”

Werstler further comments: “Since wrapping up our previous tour, we've gotten more and more questions and comments about the guitars of DÅÅTH. These videos should give new and old fans a taste of what we've been up to, and what is soon to come. We are currently gearing up for ‘The Conquer and Curse’ tour, and I would say that calling it a ‘touring onslaught’ is very appropriate. The party kicks off June 24th in Atlanta and we look forward to seeing you all soon.”

Daath Guitarist Post New Video Lessons Online
June 9, 2009
Atlanta based Pure American metal titans, DÅÅTH, are known across the world for their phenomenal guitar tandem’s (Emil Werstler and Eyal Levi) dizzying and frenetic licks and blistering, speedy solos. Their work on the group’s critically acclaimed new full-length album, 'The Concealers', caught the attention of Guitar World, who are running a feature and CD Rom video lessons series in their July issue. Check out his “Betcha Can’t Play This” video at this location.

Werstler
recently did a guitar workshop with Paul Reed Smith in NYC which you can check out below. Werstler is also a featured artist on the PRS newly revamped website. His video profile can be viewed at this location and features some stellar guitar work and interview segments.

Levi
is also issuing bi-weekly blogs/rants on MetalSucks, so head over to http://www.metalsucks.net/2009/jumping-darkness-parade in order to check it out.

Last month DÅÅTH completed a very successful month-long North American trek alongside Dragonforce and Cynic, and continues their touring onslaught throughout the summer touring the U.S. with Goatwhore, Abigail Williams, SWWAATS and Abysmal Dawn. Be sure to visit http://www.myspace.com/daath to view their complete touring itinerary.

In other news, DÅÅTH shot a video for the scathing new track, “Day Of Endless Light,” with director Robin Fuller (Ghost of a Thousand, Shaped By Fate) last month. A sneak peak into the madness that awaits can also be viewed below.

Werstler
states: “Since wrapping up our previous tour, we've gotten more and more questions and comments about the guitars of DÅÅTH. These videos should give new and old fans a taste of what we've been up to, and what is soon to come. Levi
further comments: “Coming up in the world of DÅÅTH are quite a few badass and exciting things. First we have a video we’re about to release for ‘Day Of Endless Light.’ I’ve said in the past that I didn’t want us to create just another metal video with five dudes jamming in an abandoned building or warehouse. We wanted a video that was more of a visual work that just carried a dark and slick vibe and could be considered an animated work of art. Director Robin Fuller and art director Jorden Haley are the kind of people I need to always be working with.”

Daath Announce Summer Tour Plans, Post Video Teaser Online
May 20, 2009
The Atlanta based extreme metal titans, DÅÅTH, recently unleashed a straight shot of pure, unfiltered American metal upon the masses with their new full-length album, 'The Concealers', which is garnering numerous rave reviews. The group just completed a very successful month-long North American trek alongside Dragonforce and Cynic, and continues their touring onslaught throughout the summer touring the U.S. with Goatwhore, Abigail Williams, SWWAATS and Abysmal Dawn. Be sure to visit http://www.myspace.com/daath to view their complete touring itinerary.

DÅÅTH shot a video for the scathing new track, “Day Of Endless Light,” with director Robin Fuller (Ghost of a Thousand, Shaped By Fate) last month. Click here to for a sneak peak into the madness that awaits.

Eyal Levi (guitars) further comments: “DÅÅTH is definitely back. We just wrapped up our North American tour with Dragonforce and Cynic. Now that the dust has settled we have, with proof and via memories, come to the conclusion that this was our best tour ever. On all fronts: crowd reaction, merch sales and new friendships. And any memories we’re too blacked out to remember were caught on film anyways! We have tons of amazing footage from this tour that we’ll be sharing with you guys for a while. Both bands are incredibly easy to tour with because they are composed of such great individuals. Like Kevin Talley was perplexed about, ‘Man, there are no douchebags on this tour! Usually there’s at least one.’ I couldn’t ask for a better tour to come back on after our seemingly centuries long break.

“Coming up in the world of DÅÅTH are quite a few badass and exciting things. Well, so far I personally have only seen 10 seconds of it and holy shit! It is definitely on the way to achieving the goal. Director Robin Fuller and art director Jorden Haley are the kind of people I need to always be working with.

“Also, there are some exciting tours in the works. In June and July we’ll be doing the ‘Conquer and Curse’ tour which features our brothers from Goathwore. I can’t say enough how much I admire and love this band. Headlining will be Abigail Williams and the first two bands will be Abysmal Dawn and Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky. This tour is going to be a 180 from the Dragonforce tour and I’m excited for the different experience. We also just confirmed that we’re touring Europe with Chimaira, Unearth, and Throwdown this fall! I don’t need to explain why this is such an amazing tour but let me tell you, we are fucking STOKED to be a part of it! This also will be our second time through Europe with Unearth and can’t wait to share the road with those model human beings.”

'The Concealers' was produced and mixed by Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis (Trivium, All That Remains, Devildriver).
