The Red Chord Release Artwork, Tracklist For New Album
September 10, 2009
Boston Massachusetts extremists, The Red Chord, are gearing up for the release of their fourth full length album (third for Metal Blade) titled 'Fed Through the Teeth Machine', due out on October 27th in the US. The Red Chord already has dates lined up with labelmates and interplanetary gods GWAR along with labelmates Job for a Cowboy. The nearly two and a half month trek with GWAR and Job for a Cowboy will take The Red Chord across the United States kicking off in Houston Texas on September 29th and finishing up in New York City on December 13th.

Here’s what guitarist MikeGunfaceMcKenzie has to say about the band’s new album 'Fed Through the Teeth Machine'; "We spent the last year working hard on this one and we're excited for everyone to finally hear it. It's a lot faster and, in my opinion, more straight forward in a structural sense. We're really happy with the great work Jonny Fay and Zeuss did too. It's not a concept record, but there are some loose conceptual elements to it: hygienic obsession, delusional compound-dwellers and Maniac Mansion. Get ready to make fun of us on the internet!"

In conjunction with the release of 'Fed Through the Teeth Machine', The Red Chord has just uploaded the brand new track "Demoralizer" to their freshly updated MySpace page that showcases the album’s artwork. Check out the new MySpace design and track "Demoralizer" at this location.

"'Demoralizer' kind of sums up what the record is about. It's aggressive and fast with some darker melodic parts. Probably one of the angriest-sounding songs we've recorded, which fits the records vibe" comments MikeGunfaceMcKenzie.

'Fed Through the Teeth Machine'
track listing:
1. Demoralizer
2. Hour Of Rats
3. Hymns And Crippled Anthems
4. Embarrassment Legacy
5. Tales Of Martyrs And Disappearing Acts
6. Floating Through The Vein
7. Ingest The Ash
8. One Robot To Another
9. Mouthful Of Precious Stones
10. The Ugliest Truth
11. Face Area Solution
12. Sleepless Nights In The Compound

While the heavy music scene is flooded and littered with trendy, ‘current’ fusion bands that string together electronics and mosh and pretend to be as brutal as fuck, The Red Chord aren’t having any of it. The music on 'Fed Through the Teeth Machine' is like a hulking hammer that rips and tears at the fabric of all that is trend-driven. But The Red Chord aren’t making music for that purpose; they’re just good enough to flip off trends and top the bands that perpetrate them. The Massachusetts band – which has downsized to a lean ‘n mean four-piece to counteract the bad economy function as a quartet without sacrificing any of their Rottweiler-like ferocity and tenacity - continues to focus on making extreme metal, for extreme people who want something lyrically and musically outside the box and forward thinking and don’t want some assembly-line, manufactured, “of the moment” band in their lives. Put simply: If you want to have your bones reduced to dust and your brain taken out scrambled and put back in by music, then The Red Chord are up for that task with 'Fed Through the Teeth Machine'.

Oderus Urungus Comments On GWAR's 25th Anniversary
August 18, 2009
"IT HAS BEGUN! The sickest band in rock and roll history, the mighty GWAR, tonight at midnight release 'Lust in Space', marking our return to Metal Blade and the beginning of a special two-year long 25th anniversary of GWAR's re-birth celebration! We are getting things started with a colossal tour of North America that shall span four months. It is the longest and wildest tour we have ever attempted, and we shall be bringing all the fans of GWAR the most amazing and magnificent spectacle you have ever witnessed, much less gotten a sword through your skull at..."

"The incredible line-up for this tour includes The Red Chord and Job For a Cowboy...and on certain dates we will be playing with old Slave Pit buddy "Shakey Slave", also known as Randy Blythe and his band, fucking Lamb of God! The "Lust in Space" tour shall go down as one of the most epic events in metal history so you better be there, or we will come to your house and butcher your whole family!"

"There's a lot more than just a show going on here. Even as you read my words, the war-fleet of our nemesis Cardinal Syn draws closer to Earth. This planet is the last place in the universe he has not conquered and GWAR is the only thing that can save the human race from utter obliteration, so we can kill you ourselves! So buy the album, get down to the show, and fight for the survival of the human race!"

Gwar Autographed Copies Available For Pre-order
August 5, 2009
With mere weeks left before the release of Gwar's latest opus, 'Lust in Space', the anticipation from their rabid fans is continuing to build. Since this is their 25th anniversary, Gwar has decided to do something that they have never done before. Gwar is offering autographed copies of their new album for pre-order at this location.

Quoth lead singer Oderus Urungus, “This task proved especially difficult as several Gwar members can't write, and in fact Flattus didn't even know his own name. Of the 8000 sharpies used in the completion of this task, over 6000 caps were lost, and the remaining markers were promptly rammed up my ass, where they will stay throughout our upcoming "Lust In Space" tour."

Metal Blade Records
has created a Gwar widget which is available below, as well as at http://www.metalblade.com/gwar/index.html. The widget includes an mp3 of the new track “Let Us Slay”, band photos, information about the album, and will soon have upcoming Gwar tour dates. Fans can also add the widget to their blogs and networking pages and it will update automatically with new tour dates, music, videos and more.

Earth is waiting anxiously for the release of Gwar's latest masterpiece, 'Lust in Space', set to drop upon your pointy heads Aug. 18th.
