Disturbed Launch Official Digital Bootleg Series
March 19, 2009
Best-selling hard-rock band Disturbed are thrilled to announce an exciting offer in conjunction with their upcoming Music As A Weapon IV Tour. The band is launching an Official Bootleg Series, in which fans will be able to purchase a digital-download package of each concert date on Music As A Weapon IV, Disturbed's annual music, lifestyle, and tattoo festival, via a new tour website, http://bootlegs.disturbed1.com.

The download package will include the entire show in 256K, DRM-free MP3 format (18 to 20 tracks), exclusive photographs from the show, exclusive artwork, and the full set-list — all for just $9.99. This gives Disturbed fans the chance to own audio not only of the shows they attend, but also of the shows they cannot attend, and collect the whole series. Every single show on the 38-city, nine-week trek, which kicks off March 20th in Madison, WI, will be available for purchase on the website, which goes live on March 18th. Fans can also pre-order and purchase the "Official Bootleg" package, which will be available for download within three days of each show taking place. Disturbed is working with leading online distribution company Basecamp Productions to facilitate the production and delivery of the music.

Please visit the band's official website, www.disturbed1.com, for all upcoming Music As A Weapon IV tour dates. Tickets are currently on-sale through Ticketmaster and participating vendors.

Disturbed were nominated for their first-ever Grammy Award in the "Best Hard Rock Performance" category for "Inside the Fire" — the lead-off single from the current album, the platinum 'Indestructible'. The track set a record for the longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Active Rock chart when it spent 16 weeks in the top slot. The self-produced 'Indestructible' debuted at Number One on Billboard's Top 200 album chart in June and remained in the Top 10 for five weeks. It is the band's third consecutive Number One album, following their platinum-sellers 'Believe' (2002) and 'Ten Thousand Fists' (2005), making Disturbed one of only six rock bands in history to score three consecutive Number One debuts with studio albums. Formed in Chicago in 1996, Disturbed have sold a collective 10 million albums worldwide.

Now in its fourth year, Music As A Weapon was conceived by Disturbed in 2001 as a way to present the best in alternative heavy-metal. For the first time ever, it has been expanded into a complete lifestyle festival featuring a traveling collection of tattoo artists (Oliver Peck, Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company, and Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington's Club Tattoo), an extreme sports complex, a Technology and Gaming zone, and a vendor village, all for one fan-friendly low ticket price. Music As A Weapon IV is presented by Samsung Mobile and powered by Sprint.

Basecamp Productions is the leading online distribution company for artists and fans to buy and/or sell live music immediately after a concert. With more than 25 million paid downloads to date, Basecamp is experiencing incredible growth in this unique segment of the music industry. Beginning with Pearl Jam's groundbreaking "Official Bootlegs" series, artists who have appeared on recordings distributed exclusively by Basecamp include: Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Jay Z, Bono, Chris Cornell, Tori Amos, Ben Harper, The Black Crowes, The Cult, Busta Rhymes, Sleater-Kinney, Kings of Leon, Mudhoney, My Morning Jacket, Sonic Youth, Jack's Mannequin, Wolfmother and more.

Lacuna Coil Prepare To Hit The Road, Pre-Orders Available
March 19, 2009
Italy’s greatest musical export, Lacuna Coil, have returned with the massively anticipated, new full-length release, 'Shallow Life', which is set for an April 21st North American release. The album was recorded with acclaimed producer Don Gilmore (Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam) at the famed NRG Studios in Los Angeles. This new effort is another huge step forward in the band’s continuous evolution and marks their first full-length since 2006’s 'Karmacode' and promises to be well worth the wait.

An incredible, specially priced 'Shallow Life' pre-order package is now exclusively available through www.CMDistro.com and this is a must for all diehard fans. The limited number package includes the 'Shallow Life' CD, an 8x10 glossy band photo, a guitar pick, shallow life cover sticker and a choice between a Lacuna Coil necklace or belt buckle. NOTE: All materials included are exclusive to this pre-order and can’t be found anywhere else. Be sure to click on the here now as supplies are limited.

Fans can now also rejoice as Lacuna Coil are looking to debut some new material on this spring’s “Music As A Weapon IV” festival. Lacuna Coil join hard rock titans as Disturbed and Metalcore titans Killswitch Engage on the road beginning March 20th, crisscrossing the U.S. before finishing May 16th. The 38-city “Music As A Weapon IV” fest marks the group’s first run of North America in almost two years. Feel free to visit the newly revamped www.myspace.com/lacunacoil to stream the amazing new single “Spellbound” and to view their complete touring itinerary.

Cristina Scabbia (vocals) states: “'Shallow Life' is a natural metamorphosis from within the band; we explored different musical territories while maintaining our own style. A mix of old and new, fast and slow and light and dark. The album production is incredibly powerful and has a beautiful purity to it. Hopefully listeners will feel the same sort of connection that we have to these songs. It would be great to think that we have produced songs that will make anybody either think, smile or cry. 'Shallow Life' has forced us to challenge ourselves. It represents the way we see ourselves in the days we live in through truth, love and lies.”

Andrea Ferro (male vocals) adds: “We are thrilled to be involved in what will surely be an amazing tour, a great event of rock n' roll culture! We're really happy to get back on the road in the U.S. after a long time. The new songs in the rehearsal room sound awesome and we're looking forward to play some for you. We hope to see you all soon.”

There is no better indication that greatness can be achieved through a resilient work ethic than with Lacuna Coil, whose aggressive touring and extensive critical praise have now poised them for mainstream domination. The group initially left their mark on the hard rock scene in 2004 with their acclaimed album, 'Comalies', which opened several opportunities for them that were previously thought unattainable for an Italian band, such as two highly successful commercial radio campaigns alongside a breakthrough Ozzfest appearance resulting in over 500,000 copies sold worldwide with over a quarter of a million in the U.S. alone.

Suicide Silence Join Golden Gods, Prep For Huge Tours
February 22, 2009
Modern Deathcore phenoms, Suicide Silence, who have been pegged as one of the frontrunners of the new wave of American metal by some of the metal media, had that distinction further validated as the band have been asked to perform at the prestigious, first annual Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards. America’s first-ever hard rock and heavy metal music award show will take place Tuesday, April 7th at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles and also features performances by such genre titans as Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed and All That Remains.

A limited number of tickets are on sale now. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, select Macy’s and all Ritmo Latino stores. Charge by phone at 800.745.3000. Tickets for Club Nokia events are also available from 9am-5pm, Mon - Fri at the STAPLES Center Box Office. General admission tickets are $35.00 and VIP tickets are $75.00.

Mitch Lucker (vocals) states: “There are so many reasons we’re all extremely excited to play the first annual Golden Gods Awards show. We’re just finishing up our new record as we speak here in NJ with Machine and we’re more then stoked to play these new jamz live! Playing alongside such amazing bands is always a sick and a true honor. Also, being one of the most extreme bands of the night is always an awesome feeling. We might even rent some shitty tux's so we can look all jiggy ... I mean it’s an awards show right... People get all dolled up. We are going to get shitty and see who become Golden Gods! This is not to be missed.”

Make no mistake that Suicide Silence are not resting on their laurels and are about to take things up a notch with their highly anticipated sophomore release. The group are currently working hard in the studio with acclaimed producer Machine (Lamb of God) and this new effort, 'No Time To Bleed', promises to make their debut offering seem like easy listening.

Suicide Silence will also debut some new material on the upcoming Carcass tour this March. The group will be direct support and deliver a blistering 45 minute aural assault. This will lead them directly into the massive “Music As A Weapon IV” festival headlining the second stage. The tour also features such major acts as Disturbed and Killswitch Engage. Be sure to check out www.myspace.com/suicidesilence to view their complete touring itinerary.
