Lamb Of God Nominated For 'Guys Choice' Award
May 5, 2007
Spike TV is giving the biggest shout-outs in television history to the things guys love most with the first annual Guys Choice. In what is sure to be the signature event for the channel, Spike TV will rely on its millions of rabid viewers to pick who is the best of the best from the worlds of film, television, sports, music and the internet.

Grammy nominated Lamb Of God has been nominated in the inaugural year of Spike TV's Guys Choice in the category of "Ballsiest Band" (vs. Disturbed). This star-studded event featuring everything that guys want is the first awards show to narrow the field for all categories to only two nominees, so it can be settled like men: ‘mano a mano’.

Voting is held online at www.guyschoice.spiketv.com and runs through Friday, June 1.

The show will tape on June 9, in Los Angeles, and premiere on Spike TV on June 13th at 10 PM. The program will be executive produced by Emmy Award winning producer Joel Gallen and Casey Patterson, Senior Vice President of Event Production & Talent Development for Spike TV.

Disturbed: No More 'Music As A Weapon'?
January 6, 2007
Launch Radio Networks reports: Disturbed will not embark on a second leg of its Music As A Weapon tour this winter. Earlier this week a spokesperson told Harddrive Radio that Disturbed will instead start working on its fourth album. This contradicts recent comments made by singer David Draiman, who told Launch that another run of shows was "definitely in the planning stage." He added, "We are as yet still trying to solidify that bill. But we're definitely talking to people and it's looking to be as strong of a lineup as we've thankfully been able to assemble this time for this first leg."

The latest Music As A Weapon bill featured Stone Sour, Flyleaf and Nonpoint.

The tour, which began in mid-October and ended in late December, was marred on several of its last dates by a number of injuries and arrests.

Disturbed Planning Second Leg Of 'Music As A Weapon' Tour
December 22, 2006
Launch Radio Networks reports: Disturbed wraps up the first leg of the latest Music As A Weapon tour tomorrow night (Friday, December 22) in Madison, Wisconsin, and plans are already in the works for a second leg in early 2007. Although dates, venues and acts are not confirmed, Disturbed vocalist David Draiman told Launch that they're all on the way. "The other leg is definitely in the planning stage," he said. "We are as yet still trying to solidify that bill. But we're definitely talking to people and it's looking to be as strong of a lineup as we've thankfully been able to assemble this time for this first leg. We want to bring it to the other half of the country that we're missing on this one, and just bring a little bit of brimstone, hellfire and rock 'n'roll."

Between 25 to 30 people suffered from either cuts, bruises, and overheating after participating in a mosh pit, officials said.

Two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Officers said one passed out.

Stone Sour Select "Sillyworld" As Next Single
November 21, 2006
Launch Radio Networks reports: Stone Sour will follow up the smash success of its single "Through Glass" with "Sillyworld", the second track headed to radio from the band's sophomore album, 'Come What(ever) May'. The group will also shoot a video for the song shortly, although singer Corey Taylor admitted to Launch they don't have a concept yet. "We're in the process of trying to figure out what we wanna do," he said. "We wanna do something conceptual, we wanna do something that's fairly animated. I mean, something that's gonna be as stirring as the music and the content of the lyrics. So we're talking to a couple of different people, trying to hammer out what we're gonna do. And to be quite honest, we're very lazy people, so if we don't have to show up, hey, more power to us."

Stone Sour is currently on the Music As A Weapon tour with Disturbed, Flyleaf and Nonpoint. The show pulls into Manchester, New Hampshire tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 21).

The band will tour Canada as openers for Evanescence in January.

Live Stone Sour tracks will appear on the 2006 Family Values Tour CD and DVD, both arriving at the end of next month.
