Bury Your Dead Shoot 'House Of Straw' Video
August 1, 2006
Fresh off of a stint on the Strhess Tour alongside Shadows Fall, Poison The Well and more, Bury Your Dead's latest release, 'Beauty and the Breakdown' (Victory), charted at No. 129 on The Billboard 200, selling 7,000 copies in its first week. This record is the brutal follow-up to the very successful Victory Records release, 'Cover Your Tracks', which has sold 90,000 copies to date.

Comments Bury Your Dead guitarist Slim: "If you had asked me when I started this band five years ago if anything we have accomplished by now would have happened, I would have said, 'Fuck off. You're out of your mind.' This is just another one of those things. I just like to think, 'What would MÖTLEY CRÜE do?'"

On top of the new record being released, the band is busy completing work on their first music video from the new album, for the track "House of Straw". Slim comments, "We shot a video [on July 23] in D.C. with Joseph Pattersal (Darkest Hour) for the first single on our new record, 'House of Straw'. Things are looking awesome and will be getting wrapped within the next few days. It's along the same lines as our layout and looks cool as hell. We feel this video is the equivalent of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' but with way less fog. Holla."

To date, Bury Your Dead's 'Beauty and the Breakdown' has sold a respectable 11,000 copies.

Drummer Mark Castillo comments: "Thank you to everyone who went out and actually bought the new record. We appreciate it and without all of your support we wouldn't be 129th best seller in the country an on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. Thank you."

Bury Your Dead kicked off the Family Values Tour Saturday, July 29 in Tennessee. Headlining the tour is Korn, with additional main-stage appearances by Deftones, Stone Sour and Flyleaf.

June 21, 2006
10 Years, Bury Your Dead and Bullets And Octane have been officially confirmed for the second stage of this summer's Family Values Tour, launching July 27 in Virginia Beach, VA.

And, perhaps for the first-time ever, a touring rock festival will include a 3-on-3 paintball competition for fans. In addition, batting cages, pitching cages and other activities will be featured on all stops of the tour. Each individual market will also include special attractions.

"In Denver, we will have stripper poles set up in the lawn," said Korn's Jonathan Davis. "In other markets, we have people setting up wading pools. We are really going to make sure this tour can be as much fun as possible. Fans should e-mail their ideas to me at jd@familyvalueslive.com. We want everyone to get involved."

The Family Values Tour shows will now be a full-day affair with main stage headliners Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour and Flyleaf. Stay tuned for news about more acts to be added to the second stage line-up.

With the addition of a second stage and many top rock acts, fans will get even greater value from the Live Nation-produced Family Values Tour, as the festival features $9.99 lawn tickets and value-priced seating available at every outdoor amphitheatre along the tour route, making it the hottest ticket of the summer.

"It just keeps getting better for our fans," said Davis. "We're just gonna keep adding bands and give people the best rock show of the summer."

"Count on being surprised and come ready to have fun," added Korn guitarist Munky.
