Walls Of Jericho Streaming Entire New Album Online
June 18, 2008
Metallic hardcore thrashers Walls Of Jericho have launched a full album preview of their new album 'The American Dream'. The new album follows the mesh of metallic venom and concrete fury of hardcore/punk that the band has come to be known for.

Of the album, Candace says "We've put all that we have into this new record, and trust me, it is extremely heavy. Right now we're calling it a 'thrash metal delicacy'". 'The American Dream' was produced, engineered and mixed by Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Bleed The Sky), and will be in stores and online July 29, 2008.

'The American Dream' Track List:
01. The New Ministry
02. II The Prey
03. The American Dream
04. Feeding Frenzy
05. I The Hunter
06. Famous Last Words
07. A Long Walk Home
08. III Shock Of The Century
09. Discovery Of Jones

Machine Head Frontman Issues Update From Dubai
March 10, 2008
Rob Flynn, Frontman for Bay Area Metal Titans Machine Head, has issued the following update via the band's Official website:

"Been hanging out in Dubai for the last 24 hours; man, what a crazy, modern, cool, surprisingly American-ized city. Something like 1/5 of the worlds high-rise cranes are currently in Dubai building high rises. I'm tellin' ya, in 15 years this city will look like Blade Runner! We're getting ready to play the Dubai Desert Rock Festival again, which is gonna be awesome!!! We're the first band in the festival's history to play the festival twice, so as Anchorman Ron Burgundy would say, "it's kind of a big deal!!" Once again, they've treated us like fucking royalty, and it's damn cool I must say. I'm looking forward to seeing all the bands on the bill, as we know pretty much all of them, so it should be fun. AND they sell Grey Goose Vodka now, so it's fuckin' ON!!! Next stop, CRUNKVILLE!!!

It's funny though, Dubai being a Middle Eastern country and all, they've sent us a long, LONG list of things we can't do onstage, including, but not limited to: Drink alcohol onstage *cough*, swear onstage *cough, cough, cough*, take our shirts off onstage (not that anyone needs to see my "hate"-handles), take our pants off onstage (they actually could stand to see my well-chiseled buttocks), flirt with local women (uh...), not to mention the fact that a JOINT will get you 20 years!!! But they rock the fuck out like few countries we've been to, so it's a killer time. We of course plan on obeying every rule! These fuckers have even blocked all my favorite porn sites, as the government-controlled internet doesn't allow people to view porn, MySpace, Facebook, etc.!!! Don't they know that the internet is for porn??!! Thankfully, I got some insider info on how to get around the web-block from some local kids here, and was able to finally get to my glorious porn sites. As Dave joked, "dude, you got some tech support for whacking off!!!" Yeah... take THAT, government-controlled internet!!!

I'm gonna give a wrap up of HellYeah soon, and we will post some video of that tour soon as well. Gonna try and get some cool footage from these crazy places too, I was even thinking about interviewing some local kids to talk about their metal scene, and maybe ask them some questions about being a metalhead in the Middle East, where it really is almost dangerous, and the Government can come down and squash you... for real. I don't know if it'll happen, but just something I've been thinking about."

This summer, Machine Head will headline the second stage, as part of the first annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. The tour, which is being headlined by Slipknot, also features Disturbed, Mastodon, Dragonforce, 36 Crazyfists, Walls Of Jericho, Suicide Silence, and more. For more information, head on over to

Napalm Death Returns To North America
February 17, 2008
Grindcore pioneers Napalm Death are set to make their triumphant return to North America at the end of the month joining up with DevilDriver, Walls of Jericho, 36 Crazyfists and Invitro for the “Bound By The Road” tour. The massive six week plus trek kicks off on Feb. 27th and will mark the end of the 'Smear Campaign' touring cycle. Be sure to visit to view their complete touring schedule.

Barney Greenway (vocals) recently conducted an in-depth and introspective interview with MTV’s Headbangers Ball Blog Podcast. During the interview, the frontman talked about the history of grindcore, the dangers of organized religion, the follow-up to 'Smear Campaign', the way bands that break up get more credit than those that stick around and his thoughts on their upcoming tour with DevilDriver and Walls of Jericho. Click here to check it out.

Greenway further states: “With so many tours under the belt now, I am wary of rolling out the tired out ‘it will be awesome to see you all again’ stuff. But it will be, all the same. Shit, there I go. I really haven’t had much room/time to breathe in any particular direction since we were last in the U.S. and here we are again preparing to come back with DevilDriver. I think we’ll be bringing back ‘Greed Killing’ and ‘Necessary Evil’ (well, that’s the plan at this point) and otherwise it’s going to be breathless, fast, heavy and spontaneous.

“The setlist will feature some 'Scum' stuff to 'Smear Campaign' and something of everything else – all in a pleasant 45-minute package. Yummy! Otherwise, we are finally discussing and planning the nucleus of the next album. Don’t have any finished songs yet and not really any lyrics that I want to mention – in case they end up not being used. If this all sounds vague, it doesn’t mean that we won’t have an album ready to go by August. We don’t fuck around when the prospect of progress dawns. I did get a tiny sneak listen of one or two of Shane’s songs he’s working on – and they are crazy chaotic-fast-hardcore-mongous. I think we may also further develop the Swans-esque/avant garde angle a little more too in places. We shall see and we hope to see you all soon.”

After celebrating its 25th anniversary, the band’s goals still remain the same: to outlast every trend; to never compromise; to provide a political voice for the voiceless; and to create the most brutal, challenging music on earth.
