Ministry Announce Release Date For 'The Last Sucker'
July 4, 2007
Ministry has set a September 18 release date for its new album, entitled 'The Last Sucker'. The CD, which features a guest appearance by Fear Factory frontman Burton Bell on two tracks ("End of Days Part I" and "End of Days Part II", will be Ministry's final album, and like its two predecessors — 2004's 'Houses of the Mole' and last year's 'Rio Grande Blood' — it will be politically minded blast at the administration of President George W. Bush.

Ministry Mainman Comments On Grammy Nomination
December 10, 2006
Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen has commented on the band's Grammy nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the song "Lies Lies Lies" off the band's latest album 'Rio Grande Blood'.

This is the fourth Grammy nomination for Jourgensen and Ministry, who were also nominated in 1993, 2000 and 2005.

Said Jourgensen: "Getting nominated for a Grammy is like getting the big, fat, wet kiss from your wrinkly old aunt at Thanksgiving or Chistmas. You appreciate the sentiment, but it's not something I'd wanna have sex with."

The 49th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday, February 11, 2007

Ministry, Unearth Members On 'Headbanger's Ball'
June 21, 2006
Al Jourgensen (Ministry), Trevor Phipps (Unearth), Mercedes Lander (Kittie), and Dino Cazares (Asesino, ex-Fear Factory) will be appearing on a special edition of MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" as part of a discussion panel on heavy metal "hot topics," including the Sharon Osbourne vs. Iron Maiden fiasco, heavy metal reality shows, the state of metal, and metal blogs. The episode will be airing on Saturday, June 24 during the show's normal time slot, 10:00 p.m. EST. Also scheduled to air during the program's second hour at 11:30 p.m. EST is a 30-minute "Stage Fright" special dedicated to Motorhead. Culled from the spectacular DVD of the same title (released earlier this year on SPV), the program contains a healthy selection of Motorhead favorites along with some backstage interview footage of Lemmy and the band.

Al Jourgensen Discusses 'Final' Ministry Album
May 28, 2006
MINISTRY leader Al Jourgensen has told Gary Graff of Billboard.com that after MINISTRY finishes its current MasterBaTour, he plans to go right back into the studio for what he says will be "the last MINISTRY album."

"I've got other things to do," Jourgensen explained to Billboard.com. "I just started a label (13th Planet Records), and I want to sign some bands and really build it up like I did with WaxTrax in the '80s, not just a vanity label. I think it's time — and I'll be leaving on the top of my game instead of hanging on too long and doing crappy AEROSMITH and ROLLING STONES albums 30 years later."

Jourgensen, who lives near Waco, Texas, says that like its two predecessors — 2004's "Houses of the Mole" and this year's "Rio Grande Blood" — the final MINISTRY album will be politically minded blast at the administration of President George W. Bush.

"It's a trilogy," Jourgensen said. "The next one's going to be called 'The Last Sucker', and it's also about this corrupt administration. That seems to be my muse; everyone seems to think I write real shitty music when a Democrat's in office. So we'll do that one, and then me and George Bush go riding off hand-in-hand, into the sunset."
