Beneath The Massacre Cracks Billboard New Artist Chart
November 7, 2008
Montreal’s technical deathgrinders, Beneath The Massacre, have debuted at number 22 on the Billboard New Artists Chart, scanning nearly 1,600 units in the first week of release for the band’s second full-length, ‘Dystopia.’ With an Oct. 28 release through Prosthetic Records, ‘Dystopia’ is the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Mechanics of Dysfunction,’ and the band recently completed several weeks of touring as part of the Cleansing The Nation Tour alongside Suicide Silence, Emmure, After The Burial, and Architects.

Beneath The Massacre also posted another track from ‘Dystopia’ on the band’s MySpace page. Fans can check out “Reign of Terror”, as well as the track “Our Common Grave” which was posted earlier and has been a live staple.

Currently playing a handful of shows along with Emmure on the way home to Montreal, Beneath The Massacre will be touring North America again in February and March, upon completion of a month’s worth of European dates as direct support to fellow Canadians Cryptopsy. Ignominious Incarceration Issues Studio Update
September 19, 2008
Fast-rising British death metal act Ignominious Incarceration are in the middle of recording their first ever full-length album. The talented young five-piece entered Grindstone Studios in Suffolk on September 1st with producer Scott Atkins to record their highly-anticipated debut album.

After previously announcing the title of their debut album as 'The Legacy', the band have now revealed that the official final title of the album is 'Of Winter Born'.

Drummer Sam Bailey reports from the studio: "Recording with Scott has been awesome, he knows exactly what we want to accomplish and how to achieve it. We can now reveal that our album is entitled 'Of Winter Born', and there are 10 tracks on the album, and 8 out of 10 are brand new songs. The new songs are a lot more death metal influenced - we really analyzed what we want to sound like and have taken a gigantic step from our older songs, along with really refining our technical ability. We are also going on tour in Europe for two weeks the evening we finish this album and we cannot wait!"

Immediately after wrapping up recording, Ignominious Incarceration will be heading out on tour in Europe with Bring Me The Horizon. After returning for a months break, the band will be preparing to head back out to Europe for a tour with Cryptopsy, Beneath The Massacre and Trigger The Bloodshed.
