July 29, 2009
Baltimore, MD's fast rising extreme metallers, Whisteria Cottage, will be hitting the stage tonight at the Talking Head club in Baltimore, alongside Fuck The Facts and several other bands. The show may also be the final show for original frontman Mike Comegys. The full line up for tonight's show is as follows:

Fuck The Facts
Rumplestiltskin Grinder
Whisteria Cottage
Strong Intention
Destined For Nothing
Absolute Vengeance

The band recently announced that they were searching for a fill in vocalist for an east coast run with blaspheming death metallers Rose Funeral, as Mike would not be able to hit the road with the band due to personal issues. The tour dates have now expanded to a nationwide run, though no update has been given on who will be stepping in to fill the vocal position in Mike's absence.

Regarding tonight's show and his place in the band, Mike has issued the following brief update via Myspace:

"This will probably be my last show with Whisteria Cottage unless we can get something scheduled later on in September. It would mean alot to me and the rest of the guys if you could make it out to this show and support us and what we love to do."

In related news, the band's debut album, 'Heathen', is now available via iTunes. The album, which was released back in January, has previously been available directly from the band's Merch Store, as well as Interpunk and Smartpunk, and select Hot Topic locations and all good independent record stores nationwide. In the meantime, you can check out tracks from 'Heathen' below.

iTunes is currently both the top selling digital music store in the nation, and the top music retailer in the nation overall, making it the logical choice for bands large and small, commercial and underground to have their music made available through the digital retail giant.

After dropping off the "Creatures Of Exodus" tour earlier this year (which also featured Within The Ruins and Wretched on the bill) and subsequently cancelling two headline runs due to issues with their Van, Whisteria Cottage used the down time to work on material for their next record and playing select shows in and around their local area.
