Municipal Waste Gears Up For Euro Tour
July 7, 2010
Virginian retro thrashers Municipal Waste are gearing up for a European tour, which kicks off on July 24th in Brussels, Belgium, and will see the band play a mixture of festivals and club shows across Europe.

Municipal Waste
frontman Tony Foresta comments:

"As of right now The Waste is cutting back on touring as much as we normally do for this summer, but when we were offered to play both Fluff Fest and Sonisphere we couldn't pass on this opportunity. Even though both festivals are completely different from each other, we feel The Waste fits perfectly with both and we can't wait to trash these places! There's a lot of great cities we're hitting up on this short run as well. Can't wait!

"I'm really pumped about Sonisphere because it's going to be my first time seeing Iron Maiden! I've been waiting for this moment since I was a kid. From what I'm told, we get to play the party tent right after they play. It's going to be so much fun!"

Municipal Waste
Europe Tour Dates:
7/24 - Brussels, Belgium - Magasin 4
7/25 - Rokycany, Czech Republic - Fluff Fest
7/27 - Vienna, Austria - Viper Room
7/28 - Innsbruck, Austria - Weekender
7/29 - Frankfurt, Germany - Elfer Club
7/30 - Fidenza Parma, Italy - Arci Q Open Air

Municipal Waste Confirm Pomona Show With Circle Jerks
April 1, 2010
Virginian crossover kings Municipal Waste have been confirmed to play a one-off show in Pomona, California with influential punk bands Circle Jerks and 7-Seconds.

Municipal Waste
will be joining Circle Jerks, along with 7-Seconds and Ceremony, at the special event at the Fox Theater in Pomona. Tickets cost just $15 and are available now from Ticketmaster, or at Headliner Records in Hollywood and Glasshouse Record Store in Pomona.

Municipal Waste
frontman Tony Foresta comments:
"I'm really excited to be playing with two bands that have been such a huge influence to me. Honestly, if I wasn't playing this show I would have bought tickets and flown out here to see these guys share the stage. Especially in Pomona! That was one of the craziest shows on our At The Gates tour and I can't wait to come back. I'm also a big fan of Ceremony as well, so this looks likely to be one of my gig highlights of the year!"

Biography
HOME TOWN: Richmond, VA
MEMBERS:
Tony Foresta - Vocals
Ryan Waste - Guitar
Land Phil - Bass
Dave Witte - Drums

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Municipal Waste are the reigning kings of the New Wave of Crossover. Municipal Waste deliver blazing fast, raw thrash-core in the tradition of DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, "Animosity"-era Corrosion Of Conformity, Nuclear Assault and Attitude Adjustment. All barely in their 20's, the members of Municipal Waste inject youthful energy and humor into a classic genre they were too young to catch the first time around. With a self-titled EP on Amendment Records, an LP entitled "Waste 'Em All" on Six Weeks Records, and several splits and comps under their belts, Municipal Waste have quickly established themselves as the leaders of a fast-growing scene of bands resurrecting the spirit of the mid-80's Crossover scene.Fast, furious, and funny, each of Municipal Waste's super-short songs is a memorable anthem to post-apocalyptic mutants, beer, thrash music, or all of the above. The band's dedication is deadly serious yet they are not afraid to bring the fun back into hardcore. Bashing out songs with such titles as "Thrashing's My Business And Business Is Good", "Thrash? Don't Mind If I Do", and "Drunk As Shit", (as well as a split EP whose songs were all based on Kurt Russell films), Muncipal Waste have earned themselves the tag of "party thrash".
