Misguided Aggression Add Dates w/ Threat Signal, The Agonist
April 15, 2010
Misguided Aggression have added tour dates this weekend with The Agonist and Threat Signal. The band will perform on April 16th in Brantford, Ontario with The Agonist and then join Threat Signal, Bloodshoteye and The Last Felony on April 17th in St. Catharines, Ontario for Niagara Metal Fest.

Misguided Aggression is currently writing new material for the group's upcoming sophomore effort, which is expected to surface in late 2010 through Year of The Sun Records.

"We've started writing new material and we have about six songs ready to go," commented guitarist Randy Allcock. "Our debut album was great and it represented where we were at the time, but our new material is a lot more complex and it has bigger hooks. We're consistently trying to raise the bar for ourselves, because almost every band out there is either messing with auto-tune or write nothing but breakdowns. We just want to make a good solid metal album devoid of any trends."

Misguided Aggression's debut album, 'Hatchala', was recorded at Icehouse Studios by producer Thomas Ireland and mixes bone crushing brutality with head-banging grooves to create the soundtrack to a drunken bar brawl between Lamb of God, Pantera and Meshuggah. Sputnik Music hailed the album as, "One of the neatest records of extreme metal from an upcoming band I've heard in quite a while." The band's video for "Our Kingdom Come" can be viewed online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKWB3DY1NMY.

Derelict Announce More Tour Dates
October 24, 2009
Montreal based Derelict have announced more tour dates in support of their new album 'Unspoken Words', which was released earlier this year by Year of the Sun Records. The band will round out the year playing shows with The Last Felony, Revocation, and Starring Janet Leigh.

"Things have been progressing quickly for us and it's all thanks to the crazy fans across Canada. The more we try to crush them with our music the more they eat it up, so we're going to keep up the pace and hope even more people jump on the bandwagon,” says Derelict frontman Eric Burnet. “Playing with The Last Felony and Revocation in Montreal at the end of November, and then Starring Janet Leigh and numerous others in Woodstock in December will be an amazing way to end 2009!"

Derelict recently released their video for the track “Machete” online at this location. The video was shot in Brantford, Ontario by director Justin Peeler of Frontline Pictures.

Derelict’s
new album 'Unspoken Words' was recorded in the metal Mecca of Canada: Montreal, Quebec under the watchful eye of Cryptopsy guitarist Chris Donaldson (The Agonist, Cryptopsy). Since the release of the album, the band has stormed the Canadian metal scene with their destructive live shows as they’ve performed alongside The Agonist, the Plasmarifle, Threat Signal, and Ion Dissonance. Their brand of metallic brutality and schizophrenic musical changes has drawn comparisons to Strapping Young Lad and the legendary Death.

The group is currently streaming tracks from their debut online at www.myspace.com/derelictmetal and for sale at http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/Derelict.

Derelict Tour Dates are as follows:

Misguided Aggression Release Video For 'Our Kingdom Come'
August 20, 2009
Misguided Aggression have released their video for the song "Our Kingdom Come" online at this location. The video was directed by Black Fawn Films’ Chad Archibald (Arise and Ruin, Farewell To Freeway) in Kitchener, Ontario. Check out the video below.

“When we were tossing around ideas for a video, Chad and Black Fawn came up with this idea to stage an underground Fight Club that we thought was brilliant,” says Misguided Aggression guitarist Ben Dobson. “It was a long day; we shot about six hours of fight footage and then we had to shoot the performance aspects afterwards. Overall it felt like the equivliant of playing a show for like ten hours straight and was completely draining. In the end it was worth it because the video turned out fantastic and I’m sure fans are going to love it.”

"Our Kingdom Come" is the lead single from Misguided Aggression's debut album 'Hatchala', which was recently released by Year of the Sun Records. The album was recorded at Icehouse Studios by producer Thomas Ireland and mixes bone crushing brutality with head-banging grooves to create the soundtrack to a drunken bar brawl between Lamb of God and Meshuggah. Biography
YEAR FORMED: 2005
HOME TOWN: Woodstock, Ontario
MEMBERS:
Randy Allcock - Guitar
Ben Dobson - Guitars
Rob Demedeiros - Vocals
John Ryan Godfrey - Bass
Ben Taylor - Drums

From the down and dirty backwoods of Southern Ontario, Misguided Aggression is the newest metal band to emerge from Canada's most well known vicinity. Beginning their ascension through the underground metal scene in 2004, the band has quickly made an impact with their bone crushing style and in your face attitude. It's fair to say that their current lineup, consisting of Randy Allcock (Guitars), Ben Dobson (Guitars), Rob Demedeiros (Vocals), John Ryan Godfrey (Bass) and Ben Taylor (Drums), has successfully taken metallic promise and turned it into cold hard fact.

Following the release of three independent recordings, "Fear No Evil" (2005), "Our Saviour's Daydream" (2006) and The Beast Coast Tour EP (2007), Misguided Aggression has successfully set the stage for the release of their new studio album. Recorded by Thomas Ireland at Icehouse Studios, "Hatchala" is an honest and direct studio translation of the band's hardened stage performance. From the theatrical power of "Pigs in the Market" to the fist pumping choruses on cuts like "Our Kingdom Come" and "Flesh to Gold", Misguided Aggression has folded their musical ambitions into one tight box of destructiveness. In essence, "Hatchala" is what the band has been working towards since they first started playing music in the first place.

With a strong foundation of fans throughout the Eastern half of Canada, it didn't take long for Misguided Aggression to successfully shop their new record either. The band signed with Kerosene Media who released "Hatchala" in conjunction with Year of the Sun Records in the spring of 2009. With plans to rabidly tour the record over the next year, the band still conjures up an "all or nothing" declaration, something that's typically thrown to the wayside in favor of wishful thinking. It's simply not about pumping out a record and hoping some kid buys a t-shirt, it's about providing a reason as to why we should care in the first place.

With Misguided Aggression, it's easy to see why metal fans continue to show up to the band's live shows across Canada. It's not how they part their hair or how they trendy their sneakers are; it's about how much they believe in what they're doing and what they're willing to give back to their audience. In other words, there's no bullshit here…and it shows.

All hail!
