Whitechapel Announces Welcome To Hell Tour

Knoxville, TNís extreme metal titans, Whitechapel are pleased to announce the Welcome to Hell Tour that kicks off in the bandís hometown on February 10 and finishes up in Memphis, TN on March 25. Joining Whitechapel on the bandís headline run are The Acacia Strain, Veil of Maya, Chelsea Grin, and I Declare War.

Guitarist and founding member Alex Wade comments; ďWe are very excited to announce our first major market headliner in support of ĎA New Era of Corruptioní dubbed the Welcome to Hell Tour. It will be a big one for us so we chose really solid support bands that are not only our good friends but great bands as well. Given the lineup, this is sure to be one of the heaviest tours of 2011 so donít miss it!"

Whitechapel Announce Fall East Coast Headliner

Knoxville, TN's extreme metal titans, Whitechapel, who just finished devastating audiences across North America as a part of the Vans Warped Tour Twenty Ten, are pleased to announce their upcoming East Coast headlining tour that kicks off in Macon, GA on October 1st. Joining Whitechapel on the road are Impending Doom, Miss May I, Oceano (aka Blackchapel), and I Declare War. Before the tour kicks off, some of the Whitechapel guys will be taking over the metal website www.SMNnews.com for a day on Wednesday, September 29.The guys will make their own posts letting fans know their thoughts on current releases, news, videos, and more.

In conjunction with the upcoming tour and the site takeover, there will be a giveaway at www.SMNnews.com where one lucky winner and their guest will get concert tickets to one of the upcoming October tour dates and get a Meet & Greet session with the band. Contest details will be announced shortly. The website created for Whitechapel's latest release, www.ANewEraOfCorruption.com, will be kept up-to-date with the most current tour dates and all info relating to the tour.

The Contortionist Complete 'Exoplanet'

Indianapolis, Indiana‚Äôs The Contortionist has finished recording their Good Fight Music debut, 'Exoplanet'. The new record is due in stores on August 31st, 2010, and is produced by Unearth's Ken Susi. ‚ÄúWriting and recording the new album has been a huge learning experience for all of us,‚ÄĚ affirms guitarist Robby Baca. ‚ÄúThe past few months have been the most fun and the most stressful times in our lives, but it‚Äôs awesome to see the whole project come together. Working with Ken Susi was a great experience. He's an awesome dude and a great engineer. We can't wait to journey to Exoplanet!‚ÄĚ

In addition to this news, The Contortionist will join For The Fallen Dreams for a two week run, beginning July 22nd in El Paso, TX, and finishing up in Jermyn, PA on August 8th. See below for all current The Contortionist tour dates.
