Gojira 'All The Tears' New Video Posted Online
January 15, 2009
Gojira, the French quartet whose latest album, 'The Way of All Flesh', ended up hundreds of best of lists worldwide (Revolver - #2, Metal Hammer - #4, Rock Hard - #2) and wowed US audiences on a recent run of dates with In Flames, have unveiled a visually stunning video to accompany the track entitled, "All The Tears."

Directed by Spanish artist Jossie Malis, drummer Mario Dupliantier commented: "When we first came across Jossie's work with his astounding animated films: "Bend It To Machine," and we really liked the way he told stories in a very mysterious and unusual mannger. His enigmatic animations deal with serious issues and are yet always permeated with a sense of poetry. We, as music writers, are trying to mix very different emotional atmospheres. We are happy to present a visual/audio work that gathres the sort of brutality of our music with the sensibility of his drawings."

The band continues to tour with a French tour in February and more dates to be announced for the rest of Europe and another round of US dates. For current French dates please visit Gojira's MySpace page .

HOME TOWN: Bayonne, France
Joe Duplantier (guitar/lead vocals)
Mario Duplantier (drums)
Jean-Michel Labadie (bass)
Christian Andreu (guitar)

It has always been hard to put a tag on GOJIRA, one of the most extreme bands that the French metal stage has ever known, but then again, the band has never really sought out such a tag. Ever since forming in a garage of the southwestern French town of Bayonne in 1996, GOJIRA has been an ever-evolving experiment in extreme metal built upon a worldly-conscious outlook with roots firmly planted partially from the hippie movement, partly from a environmentally-conscious new age mentality, but wholly heavy.

From Mars To Sirius is an album that does the talking for those that can't talk for themselves, an album that takes everything you know about heavy music and somehow reinvents the sound into something new, refreshing, and unrelentingly heavy. Take one step ahead, or get ready to be crushed by the massive sound and stature of GOJIRA.
