Jesse was in Zao. He got tired of playing metal and hardcore. He formed GODS while he was still in Zao. He got more tired of playing metal and hardcore. Therefore, he left Zao in early 2004 to devote more time to his true passion, GODS. The band went through a few member changes before acquiring the line-up they have today. Now they play shows all the time and will be touring quite a bit. And just to get it out of the way: No, they are not metal or hardcore. They are rock. They are pop. They are dark. They are GODS.
