Godhead Frontman Issues Update
July 25, 2007
Godhead frontman Jason Miller has issued the following update:

"We've just returned from a successful nine-week tour of the United States with American Head Charge and now we're right back in the studio writing new songs. Over the next few months we'll be hard at work writing and recording the next Godhead album, which will be released in March of 2008.

"In the meantime we have a few things to hold you (and us) over. First thing is a show here in Los Angeles this Thursday at a brand new club called Safari Sam's. Then, the following week we'll be heading out to Madison, Wisconsin for Band Camp; a 20,000-person music festival where we'll be headlining the second stage. Then in September we'll be flying out to Boston to play Locobazooka, New England's largest and longest running music festival.

"This December, we'll be releasing a DVD of an acoustic concert we recently performed in Los Angeles. You'll get to hear a lot of our older songs reworked and played a completely different way acoustically. The DVD will also come with a bonus CD. See how we do it? We put out a CD with a bonus DVD, then we put out a DVD with a bonus CD! Ha! A release in December, then another one in March! See what happens when a band can stay on the same record label for more than one album cycle? We get to do like, stuff other bands get to do!"

Godhead's video for the song "Hey You", directed by AJ Rickert-Epstein, has been posted at YouTube. The track comes off the group's latest CD, 'The Shadow Line', which came out in August 2006 through new label Cement Shoes Records.

The first signing of Cement Shoes Records is "Godhead". Formed in the mid- '90s, Godhead has been steadily building their fan base and emerging as a true international rock act. Their debut release of 2000 Years of Human Error on Posthuman Records in January 2001 and the 2003 summer release of the follow-up Evolver on Reality Entertainment, have sold well over 100,000 copies to date. After years of touring extensively with Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Static-X, Mudvayne, Rammstein, Pigface and Saliva to name a few -- as well as performing at Ozzfest and the Reading and Leeds festivals overseas -- Godhead has scraped, clawed and carved out their own place in the rock music world.

"We're one of those bands that has done it all, from touring in a broken down van and playing in front of 10 people to entertaining festival crowds of tens of thousands. We've certainly paid our dues and then some, but we don't feel we are owed anything", says front man, Jason C. Miller. "We've always believed in ourselves and we are ecstatic to be working with Cement Shoes who recognize our years of hard work and know what it takes to succeed. We are thrilled to be on a label where the president truly cares about our long term career and not just what we can do for him next week," "We've never had that before" says Miller.

Formed in Washington, D.C. in the mid '90s, Godhead was signed to Marlboro Music and had two successful European releases in 1994 and '95 followed by their first US release- Nothingness in 1996 and Power Tool Stigmata in 1998. But it wasn't until 2001 that Godhead broke out in the US…

After years of hard work and determination, MTV and radio stations across the country started catching on to the Godhead sound and began playing "Eleanor Rigby" and "The Reckoning" in heavy rotation, both were from the 2000 Years of Human Error album. The band would play in front of over 3 million people world wide in the next two years and appear on three major motion picture soundtracks including the Gold selling Queen of The Damned as well as The Blair Witch Project and Dracula 2000. Their success continued into 2003 with "The Hate In Me" single from their Revolver album that turned into an MTV2 hit as well as the song "Far Too Long," which was featured on CBS Television's "NFL Today" show.

"We're ready for the next step and I couldn't think of a more capable person to run a record label in this day and age and get us to that step than Dan Catullo. In the ever changing and evolving record business that has a new set of rules every six months, Dan and his staff are the people that I am confident can roll with the punches and take us to the top."
