Gallows To Return To North America In October
August 30, 2009
Fresh off their earth scorching appearance on this summer’s Vans Warped tour, UK hardcore punk band Gallows will return to North America in October to hit the road with AFI in the U.S. and Flogging Molly in Canada. The tours will criss-cross the continent from October 2nd through the 29th.

The 13-song strong album was recorded at London's RAK studios with producer GarthGGGarth' Richardson (Rise Against, Rage Against The Machine) and is even more bloody, brutal, and pissed-off with the current Home Counties conditions than the band’s critically revered 2006 debut 'Orchestra of Wolves'. That may be difficult to believe...until you hear this album and witness the band's absolutely peerless pure adrenaline-fuelled live sonic/physical attack. Gallows may well be the last truly unpredictable and dangerous live working band on the planet. See for yourself. Confirmed tour dates are listed below.

Gallows formed in 2005 and immediately set the UK on fire with their politically charged lyrical perspective and full-on, non-stop commitment to getting the message across by any means necessary. In 2007, Gallows won the Kerrang! Magazine Award for Best British Newcomer. The single from their debut album, 'In The Belly Of The Shark', appears on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock game. Our advice to you: Don’t miss the opportunity to see Gallows live. No one comes close.

Gallow's Frak Carter Tops NME's 'Cool List'
November 8, 2007
Gallows singer Frank Carter has been named the coolest man in rock 'n' roll in NME's 2007 'Cool List'. The annual poll, which has been won by Beth Ditto, Pete Doherty and Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner in previous years, was headed by the punk band's heavily-tattooed frontman.

Carter has hit the headlines during the year for his various onstage antics, such as getting a tattoo live onstage at the Reading Festival. The rocker revealed in September that he was planning to design a series of Alan Partridge-themed tattoos.

Carter's band's last single, 'In The Belly Of A Shark', failed to break into the UK top 40, charting at number 56.

Entries from Noel Gallagher (16), Prince (14), Thom Yorke (12) and Keith Richards (10), made it the oldest ever 'Cool List'.

Conor McNicholas, the magazine's editor, said of the list: "Thirty years after the height of punk there are a whole load of new bands making wild and passionate noise. "But it takes more than just great music to make it to the top of the 'Cool List' - these people effortlessly set trends with every breath they take."

The magazine also released a list of stars, who they believe have 'lost it' in the past year, which was headed up by Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer and the Sugababes.

The "Cool List' in full:

1. Frank Carter - Gallows
2. Jamie Reynolds - Klaxons
3. Lovefoxxx - CSS
4. Ryan Jarman - The Cribs
5. Lethal Bizzle
6. Alex Turner - Arctic Monkeys
7. Kate Nash
8. Amy Winehouse
9. Beth Ditto -The Gossip
10. Keith Richards -The Rolling Stones :
