Fail-safe:Capable of compensating automatically and safely for a failure; guaranteed not to fail. Tulsa, OK based hard rock/metal band, Failsafe, are very busy these days. With management and booking hard at work, the band is already taking their music to the next level. The massive thrashing metal riffs of guitarists Jonden Jackson and Chris Cartwright, combined with the tried true drumming of Pete Webb and bass of Chris Rye create a powerful landscape for vocalist Jake Williams’s assault on a growing number of ears across the country. With a recently completed 6-song EP entitled Detachment Ring, recorded and produced by Eric Delegard (Unloco, Element Eighty, Edgewater), Failsafe rise to the head of their class in the hard rock/metal scene. The new EP also includes guest vocals from Matt Moseman, lead vocalist of the band Edgewater (Wind-Up Records), on the track “A Thieves Day”. Not only does Failsafe have a strong new EP, but the band is also working on several demos with producer and Descendents/ALL guitarist Stephen Egerton (Zeke, Good Riddance, Hagfish). Egerton commented in a recent letter,“Failsafe are an excellent and powerful band, great on stage, and a real crowd pleaser. They have a strong work ethic, and a unique sound that's growing and expanding very quickly. Their future looks bright. Watch for them!” Failsafe began in late 2002, starting as a band whose only goal was to create original and exciting music and gain as many fans as possible in the process. It was only a month before the band started booking consistent shows in their hometown. Their first actual recording effort, Shed, was recorded in 2001 acting as demos to be given out for free to help build a strong dedicated fan base. Shortly after that, attendance increased more and more with every show. Since the small beginnings of the Shed demos, the band has gone on to play such renowned venues as the Whiskey-A-Go-Go, The Viper Room and even several shows at local Tulsa legend Cain’s Ballroom. The band has also been featured and spun regionally on KATT in Oklahoma City and KMYZ in Tulsa. Failsafe’s powerful live show and gripping new EP has been more than enough to grab the attention of countless labels and managers. However, “The road is not near complete until you’ve experienced them yourself.”
