Death Before Dishonor Announce Mission Quest For Metal Fest
February 23, 2010
Death Before Dishonor is excited to announce the Mission Quest For Metal Fest Tour. While sharing the stage with Death Threat, The Mongoloids, and xThe Warx, the boys of DBD are going to showcase 'street-bred, blood-soaked, passionate hardcore,' (Beyond Race Magazine) in cities all along the east coast while en route to New England Metal Fest. Kicking off April 6th, Mission Quest For Metal Fest will begin in Philadelphia and end in Massachusetts on April 23rd, just in time for the highly-anticipated annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. The band is also excited to announce a highly-coveted slot at SXSW this year, playing the ChronicYouth.com Day Showcase at East End Tattoo in Austin on March 18th.

Since the release of 'Better Ways To Die' in July of 2009, Death Before Dishonor has shown the world what it really means to be a touring machine. The band spent virtually all of last year playing shows around the globe and 2010 is no different. Having already toured throughout the Southwestern US and Central America, DBD will be spending the first half of March in Europe, and will return to the states with only one day off before hitting the road with Evergreen Terrace. The band's road warrior mentality has garnered much attention from the press with Decoy Music boldly stating "DBD will be in the hardcore history books right next to their idols that got them playing hardcore to begin with."

Starting this Friday, Death Before Dishonor will be on the road, anywhere and everywhere, until the end of April. Don't miss your chance to see "...a band more than worthy of any hardcore fan's attention" (Punknews.org) in a city near you,
wherever that may be. Dates are below.

Death Before Dishonor To Tour With Evergreen Terrace
January 29, 2010
Death Before Dishonor is pleased to announce a Southwestern run supporting Evergreen Terrace, from mid-March until the beginning of April. The band spent virtually all of last year touring around the globe and 2010 will prove to be no different. An unstoppable touring machine, Death Before Dishonor is currently venturing throughout Central America before heading to Europe, and will return to the states with only one day off before hitting the road with Evergreen Terrace. Find tour dates and venue information below.

Released this past July, 'Better Ways To Die' showcases Death Before Dishonor reaching outside of the safe hardcore formulas both in songs and content while still retaining their roots in the South Boston upbringing. 'Better Ways To Die' lies somewhere between the harder punk edge of Rancid, the working class anthems of fellow Bostonians Dropkick Murphys, the hardcore attack of Hatebreed and the precision and riffage of Slayer - this is the sound of a true Boston Hardcore band.

'Better Ways To Die'
has been garnering rave reviews, with Blabbermouth.net hailing it "one of the best hardcore albums I've heard this year," and " an effective bid for a place in the upper echelons of modern hardcore and the group's strongest effort to date" as stated by Exclaim!.

Biography
YEAR FORMED: 1999
HOME TOWN: Jacksonville, FL
MEMBERS:
Andrew Carey (vocals)
Craig Chaney (guitar)
Joshua James (guitar)
Jason Southwell (bass)
Kyle Mims (drums)

Poignantly titled, "Sincerity is an Easy Disguise in this Business" is an album three years in the making. This is the first time the band will be presenting new original material since 2002's "Burned Alive by Time." There is an immense amount of hype and demand for new ET material and fans will not be disappointed with what they hear. 2005 and their new release will see Evergreen Terrace make their mark on music.Evergreen Terrace formed six years ago under the skyline of Jacksonville, FL, a poster-city for boredom, despair, and empty dreams. Five guys knew they had to find a way out, thus Evergreen Terrace was gifted to the world; carving out a niche of their own, creating a distinct sound and presentation which is instantly recognizable.Evergreen Terrace is anchored by guitar player/vocalist Craig Chaney. His clean singing and hooks drive the band's sound, punctuated by Andrew Carey's screamed vocals. Musically, Evergreen Terrace takes cues from no other. The band transitions effortlessly from fast, powerful hardcore to melodic pop; allowing the band to tour with a diverse group of bands over last six years including Stretch Armstrong, Hatebreed, Eighteen Visions, Norma Jean, Throwdown, Unearth, Every Time I Die, Strung Out, The Explosion, and more. Earning critical and fan praise for their releases while gaining a large and loyal fan base who are eager to follow the band to the proverbial "next level."Executing the best quality of songwriting ever, guitarist Josh James expresses that ET feels like a whole new band. "This is the first time that we are 100% happy with a record. There is a lot of diversity in the new songs. When you listen to the record you will really see that we aren't very easy to label. There are hard and fast songs, there are songs more on the metal side, and there are poppy sing-a-long type songs. It's a very catchy record, and the production is excellent. We finally captured the energy of the songs, which has been a problem in the past. Not only is the music diverse they also stepped it up a bit with the lyrics. The lyrics have a wide reach; anywhere from strange happenings in relationships (smell of summer) to calling out trash talkers (dogfight) to even a short murder story (I say you he dead). There are also a couple tracks where we let the music industry know how we feel. (Gerald did what, I can see my house from here, more of the same). From the start we have done everything for ourselves, and we are fine with that. We won't be giving up or giving in anytime soon."ET is gearing up for a full year on the road in support of the album as well as really being with their fans at in-store performances/autograph signings. Evergreen Terrace is poised to become the next band to garner honest and deserved attention from the rapidly growing market of independent music.
