Endwell Post New Video Online Exclusively At FEARnet
August 10, 2009
Endwell recently completed a brutal new video for their pummeling new track, “Avoidant: Ghost Will Haunt,” which was shot by acclaimed director Scott Hansen (A Day To Remember, Carnifex). The clip is disturbing and more like a mini-horror movie that compliments the song, which is dark and heavy. The video can be viewed now exclusively at this location and feel free to check out www.myspace.com/endwell for all current news and tour updates.

Sean Murphy
(vocals) further comments: “Our new video is for the track ‘Avoidant: Ghost Will Haunt,’ and we shot it in the smoke filled woods of Virginia with director Scott Hansen. The treatment for the video changed a few times before it was solidified. The lyrics deal with everyday struggle, living life in the shadow of failures and misfortunes and getting pushed to the point of extreme apathy where you don't even want to try anymore. It’s pretty much bad luck on bad luck, but in the end you realize that these things build character. Every hardship you endure and every time life knocks you out it’s another chance to get back up and find a new lease on life.

“We weren't very happy with our last music video and we learned that a single music video can really make a mark on a fan (or potential fans) seeing or hearing the band for the first time; it kind of taints the image. However, we knew we wanted the video to feel like it belonged to the record. Where we shot the live parts we heard stories about colonial witch trials and executions so it got us thinking and we ended up using that as the basis for the storyline. It ended up looking like a mini-horror movie that compliments the song, which is darker and heavier than most of our songs.

“We’re stoked on the video. It’s shot in super HD and just has a dirty feel to it. It’s very aesthetically pleasing between the colors and there's an underwater camera in there that got some cool stuff. It gets pretty brutal at one point, kind of the exact opposite of our last video and either way I hope everyone digs it! We had fun shooting it and provided all the smoke in the background.

“We’re on tour right now with Catalepsy and Salt The Wound. Next month we head out on ‘The Raising Hell’ North American tour with Thick As Blood, Lionheart and Venia, which should be ridiculous but what we’re really stoked for is the Veil Of Ignorance European/UK Tour w/ Raised Fist and Deez Nuts. This is gonna be our first time going overseas and we wouldn't want to go with any other bands. Should be a lot of partying!”

Oceano To Shoot Video For "District Of Misery"
March 2, 2009
Oceano, officially a number 1 band on MySpace, recently celebrated their achievement in Los Angeles, California where they shot a video for the song "District of Misery."

Directed by Patrick Guera (Difficult Henry, Hard Echo) and produced by Brian Thompson at The Vault LA (Municipal Waste, Killsitch Engage, As I Lay Dying), the video was shot in a converted LA warehouse and promises to be as heavy and formidable as the band themselves.

The video will see Oceano playing the song alongside a twisted photographic interpretation of each lyrical line as it is growled. The director's vision for the photographic concept is a compelling choice for a band who's image already relies on dark intensity. "Me (Patrick Guera) and my director of photography shot some more surrealistic stuff to accentuate the brutality." "As for exactly what imagery will be used," says Guera as the director slyly hints at some of the specific imagery, "I use a lot of gnarled branches, some human props, I don't want to give too much away. The visuals will speak for themselves."

"The video is mostly based around Oceano's performance," says Guera, "they are really brutal so we are going to accentuate that in the way we shoot them, covering them from all angles, matching our movement to the change ups in the song."

The video is shaping up to be a vital step in the ascendancy of Oceano. You can be sure to get behind the scenes access to the making of it and more info on their official MySpace page.

"District of Misery," the blasting lead single from Oceano's April 7th debut, 'Depths', can be heard on Sirius XM satellite radio (where it is currently charting at number 15 on the Liquid Metal playlist).

Oceano is the number 1 "unsigned" death metal band on all of MySpace.
They have also hit number 5 on the hardcore charts and number 12 on the metal charts.

Endwell Signs With Mediaskare, Posts New Tracks
May 9, 2008
Mediaskare is proud to announce the addition of Queens, NY’s ENDWELL to its ever-growing roster of genre pushing bands. The first release from the band through Mediaskare will be a 5 song EP titled ‘Revenge Is A Healthy Motive’, which will be available exclusively via iTunes and specialty shops on May 27th and at the band’s live shows beginning May 25th. The tracks “Mike Tyson” and “Sympathy For All Sufferers” from the EP can be listened to on the band’s MySpace page located here http://www.myspace.com/endwell

The band had the following to say about signing with Mediaskare:

“WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE CHOICE WEVE MADE! We originally met Baron in LA when we were recording our last album and have kept in touch with him since...we got an all around great feeling for the label while we were on tour with our boys in As Blood Runs Black and there is no one we would rather be family with! Once we had these songs written and had started thinking of labels to shop to we knew we needed a solid label with a dedication to hardcore and underground music....cuz face it, we’ve changed. When you’re playing a style of music for a few years and then a main songwriter decided to leave, it gives you many options to explore. Basically we just wanted to make a record that was hard emotionally and musically. We wanted to write an album that we could enjoy and that made us feel like we did when we started playing hardcore when we were little kids. When we wrote "Homeland" it was as if that was our job, we got the call that we were going to be in the studio with a big time producer in 4 weeks and bang! We had a mission to accomplish and we were in Danny’s garage 7 days a week for almost 4 full weeks just writing as many riffs and melodies as we could, there was really no "passion" behind it except for the fact that we had just gotten signed and we knew we had to write an album. All in all it was an amazing experience we wouldn’t trade for the world. BUT shortly after homeland came out we were sick of it, nobody wanted to play the songs, they just didn’t have enough balls so the whole thing became stale. This time around we had months...and some of us had actual jobs and we wrote because it was fun, not because someone was waving an advance and a deadline in our faces. we would get together jam out all get in the same mindset and the riffs and songs just came out... so we want to thank Baron & Mediaskare for taking us under his wing and standing behind our passion 110%”

The band is currently preparing to hit the road beginning May 25th as a part of the ‘Mosh Lives Tour’ with Emmure, On Broken Wings, Recon, and After The Burial. Following that, they will team up with Means for a tour through Canada. Also recently confirmed is a trek with label mates The Ghost Inside and friends Stray From The Path.
