Jump around, scream, bawl along, feel elbows in your ribs and your blood boiling... That crazy moshpit mood at its best is what EKTOMORF's new album “Instinct” spreads again! Hailing from Hungary EKTOMORF grooves enough to break the backrest of your seat. “Instinct” is a sledgehammer’s hit of anger, a call to arms. This album is an uncompromised, straightforward, in-your-face soundtrack to a revolution, bursting with groove, anger and Gipsy spirit. Tight drumming and bass licks will crumble the foundation of any building together with the thunderstorms of gruelling tramping riffs, energetic lead-melodies and aggressive Punk influences. EKTOMORF managed to sound like Sepultura, Soulfly and Slayer all in one. Anew recorded under the wings of producer Tue Madsen (Mnemic, The Haunted, Disbelief, Illdisposed and many more) at the Antfarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark, the quartet has a new piece of ingeniously composed hate & power for their hungry fans! 'Show Your Fist' is an invocation to revolution, an ode to freedom. 'Burn' is surely the hardest and angriest song of the album. Its lyrics are dealing with bad memories of so-called "good friends“ and the song is garnished with sitar sounds! 'Fuck You All' marks a Punk / Hardcore song with a very simple but aggressive message that will express exactly what you feel sometimes. 'United Nations' raises its voice against the latent racism Gipsy people like the Farkas brothers are often confronted with. Zoltŕn (voc/g) and Csaba Farkas (b) founded EKTOMORF in 1994 and got soon well-known in the underground. Their debut "Hangok" offered a mixture of Hardcore, metal and above all Romanic folk. With this first work they gained their loyal fan base in Hungary, and with their self-titled second album they were able to extent their fame and get known world-wide. With their new drummer Jňsef Szakŕs, they recorded their third album "Kalyi Jag", meaning “Black Fire”. In November 2003 EKTOMORF entered the Danish Antfarm Studios for the first time to record "Destroy" with producer Tue Madsen. "Destroy" showed all features EKTOMORF are loved for plus a slight touch of Pro Pain. Above all being an excellent live band EKTOMORF already played uncountable shows, among them acclaimed tours with Pro Pain and Fear Factory. Their biggest successes thus far marked the gigs during the festival season 2004 when the band played With Full Force, Wacken and Germany's biggest Alternative/Rock open airs Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in front of thousands of crazy fans. Instinct is the strongest human feature... Use your instinct and you’ll be carried away by this album!
