Agnostic Front Original Line Up Reunite For 25th Anniversary
December 22, 2009
Legendary Hardcore Pioneers, Agnostic Front, has changed the face of music throughout their 25-year-long career and the 'Victim In Pain' and 'United Blood' records started it all. In celebration of these eminent re-releases, Agnostic Front will pay homage to where it all began with a headlining show on February 26th in NYC. Showcasing at The Bell House in Brooklyn, Agnostic Front will have their original 1984 lineup in tow - Roger Miret, Vinny Stigma, Rob Kabula, and Dave Jones. "We haven't played together since '84, this is the CLASSIC lineup together again doing vintage AF songs and some classics. We couldn't be more excited to do this!" said vocalist Roger Miret.

Bridge Nine Records recently re-released the seminal records 'United Blood' and 'Victim In Pain' this past November and Examiner.com said, "For those who missed the most exciting era of underground music, this is a chance to re-live the glory that was Agnostic Front." With embossed covers, printed dust jackets and original inserts, these re-releases pay homage to two of the most influential hardcore albums of all time. Additionally, both albums are available together on CD format for the first time, which is a must-have item for all fans of punk and hardcore. AllMusic said it right, calling it "the ultimate document of the New York Hardcore scene."

Agnostic Front has shows across the globe lined up for 2010 - tour details are below.

Agnostic Front Announce January Tour
November 12, 2009
One of the greatest genre-defining hardcore bands of all time, Agnostic Front, has changed the face of music throughout their 25-year-long career. The two records that started it all, 'United Blood' and 'Victim in Pain', are legendary NYHC releases and some of the most sought after pieces of music for fans and collectors. On November 17th, 2009, Bridge Nine will release a CD version with both albums combined and additionally, will re-release 'United Blood' on 7” and 'Victim in Pain' on 12” LP.

Originally released in 1983, 'United Blood' was Agnostic Front’s first release and was followed shortly thereafter by 'Victim In Pain' in 1984. These albums were a blast of pure New York hardcore that confirmed AF’s status as leaders of the NYHC movement alongside precursors the Cro-Mags and Murphy’s Law. Called "the ultimate document of the New York Hardcore scene" by AllMusic and "New York Hardcore at its finest" by Punknews, vinyl versions of 'Victim In Pain' and 'United Blood' both include printed dust jackets and embossed album covers (with all original artwork available in the inside and the 7" features an exact replica of the original insert from 1983).

To celebrate the re-release of these historical records, AF will be touring the West Coast and Southwest in January - tour dates are below. 'Victim In Pain' and 'United Blood' hit stores next Tuesday.

Agnostic Front recently announced the addition of new drummer Pokey Mo (formerly of the legendary hardcore/metal crossover band Leeway).

Agnostic Front's latest album, 'Warriors' was released in North America on November 6, 2007 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was produced by Madball/Hazen Street frontman Freddy Cricien, who also happens to be Miret's younger brother. The engineering duties were handled by Zeuss at Planet Z in Hadley, Massachusetts.

Look for a new Agnostic Front record to be released in 2010 via Nuclear Blast!

Death By Stereo Post New Video Online
July 28, 2009
Death By Stereo have posted a video for the song "I Sing For You" online. The video shows the band in full effect as well as their fans in full air guitar mode. Vocalist Efrem Schulz says of the filming of the crowd scene in the mall "It was an amazing time, people were freaking out and the mall cops as well as real cops chased us out and through the parking lot. All things condidered, we pulled it off! Elliot Dillman is a genius director! We hope everyone has as good of a time watching it as we did filming it! Thanks to all the rad people that came out and took over the mall!!!" Check out the video below.

The song is from the recently released 'Death Is My Only Friend' album out on Serjical Strike Records. The band have been garnishing rave reviews including Revolver who said "this California hard core quartet continues on it's tough but tuneful course, nestling blunt social criticism in melodies so upbeat it's hard to believe the band is as pissed off as it claims." Alternative Press said "Ragers like 'Welcome To The Party' or 'Fear Of A Brown Planet' are reminders that few bands are able to combine melody and unbridled aggression as ardently as DBS-and for the most part, frontman Efrem Schulz's operatic vocals manage to complement the band's technically minded music instead of overshadow it."

The band recently completed a national tour with Strung Out and a European run. New tour dates will be announced shortly.

Death By Stereo's New Album Release Date Pushed Forward
June 5, 2009
Serjical Strike Records have announced 'Death Is My Only Friend', the upcoming full length by Death By Stereo will be released on July 7th. This will be a week sooner than the original release date announced. According to the label (whose President is System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian), the record will have a new national distributor in ADA and it was more beneficial to everyone to move the release date up a week.

The band is currently on a national tour with Strung Out and press coverage is confirmed for Outburn, Revolver, Alt Press and more. 'Death Is My Only Friend', is the band¹s first album in four years. This work finds Death by Stereo's sound venturing into uncharted musical waters. "We cover all ends of the musical spectrum with this album," Guitarist Dan Palmer explains. "There are songs with blast beats and songs with no guitars at all."

Diverse and melodic, this is the band that Decibel said wrote "hardcore songs you could
actually remember" and Outburn praised for "biting down on personal emotions and social issues through some heavy and dramatic music."

Remaining tour dates are posted below and more info and music can be found at

Biography
MEMBERS:
Efrem Schulz (vocals)
Tito (guitar)
Dan Palmer (guitar)
Tyler Rebbe (bass)
Todd Hennig (drums)

Balancing chaos and consciousness is no easy feat, and few bands will ever do it as well as Death By Stereo has on the astonishing new disc Death For Life. Brutal and brutally honest, the sets eleven songs come swinging at you like a bag of bricks as they embrace the extremities of hardcore and the fluid riffs of metal. We fought it out and found out what we want to be, says vocalist Efrem Schulz. Were still here, still fighting, still pissed and not pulling any punches. And while we may be into some pissed off music at the same time we want to party. We also love Van Halen. So why not let out all of this aggression and have a blast doing it? So many people are so uptight about mixing the two ideas. With that in mind, there is still no way to prepare for Binge/Purge, a musical riot of a tune peppered with touches of melody and the tenacious, expressive guitar lines of Death By Stereos Dan Palmer and Tito. Its a song that deals with the world and all the bullshit that is constantly shoved down our throats, says Schulz. Everyone feeds off of this violence, apathy and ignorance. We want to purge it all out. Crafted with the help of Avenged Sevenfold vets The Factory (the production duo of Fred Archambault and Bruce MacFarlane), Death For Life marks a new sound and dynamic for Death By Stereo. Working with Fred and Bruce was the best thing that could have happened to us, Efrem explains. They really cracked the whip and made us play better than we ever have. Schulz also cites new DBS bassist Tyler Rebbe for helping add some much needed balls to our sound as well as his own use of a vocal coach to expand on his vocal ability and endurance. Evidence of the latters effectiveness is perhaps best exhibited on the sonic knuckle sandwich Give My Life as Efrem counters his biting, guttural throat work with the optimistic, alluring refrain, We will live strong. Braver still is the bands first-ever ballad Forever And A Day, which forgoes much of Death By Stereos hard-as-fuck tact for a moment of introspection. Says Schulz: Its about friendship and always being there through the best and the worst, the dark and the light. Also symbolic is the fact that Efrem recently shed his patented hawk. It was just time for a change, he says of his new look. You cant do the same thing forever. Were just moving forward, moving on and shedding our skin. Still, fans of the groups heavy, unrelenting drive should still find delight in maniacal charges like Entombed We Collide, complete with the robo-drumming of Todd Hennig, plus recent live faves like Middle Fingers and W.W.J.D.? Putting Death For Life up against its predecessor, 2003s Into The Valley of Death, Schulz says, I think it blows it away. I love the last one but I think we really found out how to get our ideas on tape with this album. Weve been trying to find this sound for so long and we finally unlocked the door. Dan took the reigns as the main songwriter and came back with the fiercest sounding stuff we have ever done, but he didnt lose sight of the dynamics. He got real gentle with his guitar when he needed to. Todd killed it. Tito shredded it. Tyler blew us all away. This record is who we are. I am more excited than ever. We are recharged, reenergized and ready to take on the world. Perhaps no other song on Death For Life speaks for this new chapter of Death By Stereo better than Forget Regret. As Titos chugga-chugga riffs duel with Palmers engaging guitar riff and Hennigs pummeling drums, it all becomes clear. Its about dealing with death and learning to move on and not living a life of regret, explains the singer. As Schulz delivers the tunes howling, infectious refrain, atop the rumble of Tylers throbbing bass, its more evident than ever that this five-piece is unrivaled in its fury. When probed for a credo that defines Death By Stereo, the singer fires back, Never give up. Never give in. Roger that.
