Deadlock Post New Song Online
January 15, 2009
German melodic death metal band, Deadlock, has posted a new track from their album, 'Manifesto', on their myspace page. “Martyr to Science” is the second song from the record that will be permanently posted on the band’s profile.

“We feel like 'Martyr to Science' is one of the strongest songs from our album and showcases who we are as a band perfectly. The track combines our fast and technical trade marks and wonderful female vocals lines.” Drummer Tobias Graf commented.

'Manifesto' has already been released in Europe and Japan , showing sales close to 9,000 prior to release in the US .

All That Remains Vocalist Phil Labonte Issues 2008 Recap
January 6, 2009
Phil Labonte, vocalist for Massachusetts' modern melodic thrashers, All That Remains, has posted his thoughts on the year that was, and the new year that is just getting started:

"So we had an awesome year last year loaded with so much stuff for me. Started the year with an amazing headline tour. Wrote a record faster than we ever had. First time we recorded anywhere but home. First time with Jason Suecof producing and it came together wonderfully. Had my heart broken. First time on Warped Tour. 'Overcome' debuted in the top 20 on Billboard. It keeps selling like crazy. We had our first song on rock radio. We actually did "Two Weeks" acoustically live on air a few times witch was really nerve racking and awesome. First time we played in South Dakota and Wyoming. Quit smoking. Started eating special K. Lost 20 pounds. We signed a new deal with our label for a couple more records. I got my first car in 4 or 5 years. Started eating way more cheese burgers. Gained 20 pounds. I met an amazing girl. Ended the year better than I've been in years.

This next year looks to be amazing. I know we're gonna be in Europe then Australia this winter. Japan will be after that. Then we will probly be doing something state side. Then we're hoping to make something happen in Europe again. Then a we are hoping to do some kind of summer fest in the US. THEN we'll take a few weeks off. Probly back to Europe or Japan , One more US tour. Then I'll be doing this again. And that stuff is just band stuff. Who knows what cool gadgets, video games, movies, tv shows and other stuff that's gonna come out this coming year. I'm pretty pumped.

So again I'm giving credit where credit is due and saying thank you. To everyone who picked up our disc. Everyone who came out to shows. Everyone who came out the meet n greets. Thanks to everyone who left comments on our page. Who put us in their top friends. Who told people to check our stuff out. Thank you guys so much. It's a great privilege to be able to do what I do. I know I don't answer enough emails and I'm sorry. But thank you for sticking by us. I am indeed a lucky dude."

All That Remains, will hit the road once again later this month on a European co-headlining tour with The Haunted, set for a Jan. 10 start date in Nottingham and wrapping up a little over a month later in Brussels. Deadlock Album Title Revealed, Webisode 1 Posted Online
August 25, 2008
Lifeforce Records Europe has posted the following update regarding Deadlock's upcoming album, on the label's Official Myspace Page:

"We are very happy to announce that Deadlock's fourth album, 'Manifesto', is currently receiving the final touches by the golden hands of Jacob Hansen (Mercenary, Volbeat, Heaven Shall Burn) and what reached our ears so far simply sound stellar!

As Deadlock's previous albums, 'Manifesto' will be a concept album dealing with mainly ethical topics, but there will be also some nice surprises to be found.

Deadlock have filmed a funny little webisode to shorten the time to the album release on November 17th in Europe and January 6th in the U.S.

More to come in the next weeks."

Biography
YEAR FORMED: 1997
HOME TOWN: Germany
MEMBERS:
Johannes Prem (vocals)
Sebastian Reichl (guitar)
Gert Rymen (guitar)
Thomas Huschka (bass)
Tobias Graf (drums)

Fate brought this young band together in 1997, when Tobias, Sebastian, Johannes and Mike met. End of `98 Hans-Georg took over the Bass duties from Mike and DEADLOCK`s first stable line-up was completed. After releasing their selftitled 7" all on their own the guys from Winter Recordings realized the potential of this talented band and made them an offer they could not refuse. From this day on both parties grew friends more and more and in early 2000 DEADLOCK`s 7-Song MCD "I`ll wake you when spring awakes" saw the light of day.Since then lots of things have changed...Two new faces joined, namely Thomas replacing Hans-Georg on Bass and Tom on additional Guitar. Sabine is featured on several tracks of "The Arrival" playing the Keyboards and performing additional clean vocals. DEADLOCK developed their brutal and blistering sound to a higher level, playing now tight and skilled metal, with beautiful melodies, a harsh screaming voice and lovely female background vocals.Lyricwise they offer you a wide range of topics, like showing their Vegan Straight Edge Attitude in Songs like "Menschenhand", focusing their view of our greed ridden society in "spring is awoken" or in "The more Money they get...", or just opening thier hearts in poetic and epic masterpieces like "Love I Think I have never felt it before..." or "Lebe Wohl". In 2k2 the new prophets have arrived. After a lots of shows and some small Tours in 2002 they found new friends in the band Six Reasons To Kill and decided to do a split release on Winter Recordings. DEADLOCK once again developed their skill and tightness to a higher level and added to their epic music orchestral arrangements. Also the typical Twin-Guitar melodies, the Blackish keyboard-parts and the beautiful female vocals are forced to the next level. This split CD was released in July 2003.At the moment the band is working with high pressure on their Lifeforce Records debut, to be recorded in January 2005 and to be released in June 2005.
