Conflict of Interest was formed in the spring of 2003 by singer Mike Stanley. In an effort to bring live metal music back to Las Vegas, COI hit the streets to play local venues and establish themselves as a staple in the Vegas scene. After years of writing, recording, and touring, COI released their first demo to the masses in 2005. Received with enthusiastic ears, the songs are still beloved by the fans who to this day sing out every word with Stanley onstage.

In a search for more serious musicians with the same goals, Stanley recruited seasoned lead guitarist Ryan Puskarich. Puskarich brought his solid guitar style and disciplined work ethic to begin the search with Stanley for the remainder of COI. Shortly after the addition of Puskarich, rhythm guitarist Justin Adler was added. Justin’s background with local heavy metal bands brought a darker, more underground feel to the COI writing dynamic. After a seemingly endless search for the right drummer, an answer appeared in the form of Andrew Stork. Mainly influenced by progressive metal and hardcore music, Stork brings the much needed double bass driven back beats to the COI sound. Finally one position remained to be filled, and bassist Lukas Golson stepped in to fill out the rhythm section. Growing up on jazz, funk, and rock, Golson adds interesting flavor to the already diverse sound of COI. Now complete, COI has been hitting the city of Las Vegas with unmatched power.

With melodic interludes, explosive lighting, and a nonstop stage show, COI has already begun winning new fans over, and retaining the veterans. With the release of their 2009 Demo, COI is poised to take their music to listeners across the country.
