Cellador Post New Demo Track Online
July 23, 2007
Nebraska-based extreme power metallers Cellador have made a new demo clip available for streaming on their MySpace page. The track, entitled "Follow Me", is expected to appear on the band's next album, which will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder, Devildriver, Bury Your Dead).

Commented guitarist Bill Hudson: "The new record will be a lot different from 'Enter Deception' [Cellador's 2006 debut]. It will be way more diverse, and will go to both extremes. We'll have faster songs and midtempos, maybe a ballad! 'Follow Me' is basically the link with 'Enter Deception', to show that we're still the same band, but Michael's [Gremio] vocals are obviously more aggressive this time around."

Other demo tracks will be made available during the coming months.

Cellador Announce New Bassist
April 22, 2007
After filling in for the band's shows for the last two months, 21-year-old Mika Horiuchi has been officially named Cellador's new bass player.

Comments guitarist Chris Petersen: "After holding auditions for three months we realized Mika was the best person for the band. He showed the most devotion and commitment, having learned all our songs in less than a week, and dropped all his personal commitments at the time to come on tour with us during the month of February. The dude is an insane bass shredder, but also knows how to carry a song well rather than wanking all over the place. It's the perfect combination we were looking for, and the perfect fit for us in Cellador. We look forward to showing everyone just how good he is."

Originally from Seattle, Mika previously played in the Washington-based melodic death metal band Netherelm.

Cellador also recently parted ways with drummer David Dahir. The band will use a fill-in drummer for the upcoming dates, which will include an appearance at the New England Metal And Hardcore Fest on April 28 in Worcester, MA.

If you think you have what it takes to be the drummer in Cellador, you can contact the band at contact@cellador.com.

Cellador's 'Enter Deception' album was released in June 2006 via Metal Blade. The CD was recorded at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal).

Formed in the summer of 2004 by guitarist Chris Petersen, CELLADOR is a melodic metal band from Omaha, NE, whose members ages range from a mere 17 to 23 years old. CELLADOR was founded with the intent of introducing aggressive European influenced melodic speed/power metal to the Midwest USA, where the style is relatively nonexistent. CELLADOR spent the fall and winter months of 2004 writing, rehearsing and, by March 2005, began playing live. By May of 2005 Cellador had released the demo Leaving All Behind. Impressed by their skill and musicianship, Brian Slagel offered the band a contract making them Metal Blade Records first USA based power metal signings in years.
