Vanna Unveil A New Hope In March
January 30, 2009
Boston post-hardcore group, Vanna, will release their anticipated sophomore album, 'A New Hope', March 24th on Epitaph Records. Produced and mixed by Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Our Last Night, Story of the Year) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge), 'A New Hope' emphasizes the band's heightened musical abilities, balancing a perfect blend of emotive rock and perilous hardcore with refined precession. Fans can catch a preview of the new album this January as the band tours with Gwen Stacy.

Since the release of Vanna's fan-favorite debut EP, 'The Search Party Never Came', and their follow-up full-length, 'Curses', the band has been on a continuous musical journey, evolving, exploring and maturing with each release and tour. With the experience of using what works and letting go of what doesn't, the band tackled the writing and recording of 'A New Hope' with an added perspective and understanding.

"The writing and recording process naturally becomes more dialed and decisive with each record," explains lead vocalist Chris Preece. "This record was approached with more of a group mentality. We talked a lot about what we liked and disliked about our last two releases, and each one of us were able to express ourselves in every step of the process. We locked ourselves in our practice space for two months, everyone threw out song ideas, and the ideas were fleshed out into something that we were all happy with. All of our individual influences and inspirations played a big role creatively."

Creativity abounds. 'A New Hope' will grab Vanna's core fans with catchy songs fueled by intense breakdowns, while their accessible melodious song-writing will open the door to a new audience.

'A New Hope' Tracklisting:
1. Let's Have An Earthquake
2. Into Hell's Mouth We March
3. The Same Graceful Wind
4. Like Changing Seasons
5. Trashmouth
6. Safe To Say
7. We Are Nameless
8. Sleepwalker
9. Where We Are Now
10. Ten Arms
11. Life and Limb
12. The Sun Sets Here

Continually elevating their game, Vanna have raised the musical stakes with a bombardment of twelve tracks that invoke a deluge of sensations. Preece's guttural screams and Evan Pharmakis' (guitarist/vocals) melodic choruses seamlessly duel on tracks like the epic post-hardcore anthem for the ages, "Safe To Say," and the sweeping hit "The Same Graceful Wind." The fast, ferocious work of guitarist Nick Lambert, bassist Shawn Marquis and drummer Chris Campbell provide a wall of intense sound on tracks like "Trashmouth" and "Life and Limb."

Vanna's undying passion for creating and growing musically has resulted in one of the best post-hardcore releases in years. Resistance is futile. See Vanna this January and February on tour with Gwen Stacy and Our Last Night, immediately followed by a tour with LoveHateHero and Blessed By A Broken Heart that runs from mid-February through March 1st.

LoveHateHero Announce First Half Of "Terminatour" Dates
December 10, 2008
Hollywood, CA's own screamo rockers, LoveHateHero has announced they will take part in the Terminatour. The first half of the tour dates have been announced running from January 16th to February 8th where they will be direct support to Blessed By a Broken Heart. The two bands will be joined on the road by Agraceful, Kiros, and Karate High School. This will be the band’s first tour to support and hype their upcoming record.

LoveHateHero is also currently recording their upcoming 2009 release on Ferret Music with production dream team Leah Haywood and Daniel James in their Dreamlab Studios, where the two have produced records for Ryan Cabrera, Automatic Loveletter, and more. This will be the band’s highly anticipated follow up to their 2007 release, 'White Lies', which Punknews.org said the bands work, “brings to the table notable musicianship that rises above the genre's typical fare.” Absolutepunk.net agreed, saying the band “effortlessly blends the guitar heaven found traditionally on metal albums with the sing-alongs and hooks of an emo/post-hardcore band.”

In 2008, the band toured relentlessly in support of 'White Lies' and is ready to take the new year by storm. They just finished up their One Moment Management Tour with Before Their Eyes, I See Stars, Oceana, Eyes Set to Kill, and Ice Nine Kills.

Into Eternity To Tour Without Tim Roth
September 18, 2008
Canadian extreme progressive metal quintet Into Eternity -- whose new album, 'The Incurable Tragedy', debuted at #17 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart last week -- return to the road this weekend, when they kick off a string of dates alongside Iced Earth. However, the band's lead guitarist, Tim Roth, is unable to participate in the tour.

The group has issued the following statement to explain matters further: "All of us in the band, and especially Tim, have been looking forward to this tour with Iced Earth for months. Over the years, Iced Earth has been a huge influence on Into Eternity, as anyone who owns 'Dead or Dreaming' [the group's second album, which features a picture of Tim wearing an Iced Earth t-shirt] knows.

"Unfortunately, the events of the past two years have recently taken their toll on Tim. Emotionally, he's a rock, but there are some important legal, financial and family-related matters at home that he needs to take care of right now. However, he's given us his blessing to do the tour without him so we can honor our commitments to our fans (who won't get a refund if the support act cancels), and continue to promote an album that we all very much believe in.

"Luckily, "Shred" Sean Maier from our labelmates Blessed By A Broken Heart has agreed to fill in on super-short notice. From what we've seen and heard on his MySpace, Sean's an amazing shredder, and we can't thank him enough for stepping in. Meanwhile, Stu is going to do his best to handle all of Tim's vocal parts, as well as his own. The vocal harmonies won't be as rich, but Stu vows to do the best he can.

"Please know and understand that Into Eternity's lineup is not changing, and that Tim will rejoin the group on tour as soon as humanly possible. Again, it's not that Tim doesn't want to do this tour; it's just that he can't right now. Over the last three years, Tim has led Into Eternity through 300+ shows with death metal bands, power metal bands, prog-metal bands, metalcore bands and everything in between. We'll miss him out there, but the show must go on.

"Thanks again to all the fans around the world who picked up 'The Incurable Tragedy'. We weren't sure how people would respond to such an emotional roller coaster, but we couldn't be more grateful for our fans' continued support. We can't wait to see you all on tour."

Your teenage years, a time when there isn't a care in the world and the party never stops, where there is always a soundtrack that accompanies each memory, and as you get older, hearing a particular song, will quickly find yourself reliving that special moment in time. Along comes BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART, a fun loving, carefree and energetic rock band from Montreal that has but one goal in mind: to deliver an album of epic summer party anthems that will give everyone who hears it an outlet to leave their daily frustrations behind and think about the happy times, past and present. Upon one listen to such tracks as “Move Your Body” and “To Be Young,” you will find yourself living (or reliving) the best times of your life. This is fun music for fun people, so crack a beer and crank it up, because school’s out and it’s time to party.

They say to never take life too seriously and to live for the moment, which is exactly what BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART is all about. Their unique, infectious brand of '80s madness is undeniable, and they deliver a plethora of balls-out rock anthems that are so catchy and infectious, they will soon be your new guilty pleasure. This could be best described as a modern day version of Motley Crue meets Journey and guitarist Shred Sean is destined to become one of the most talked about players in the genre with his Yngwie-like licks and bombastic shredding techniques.

If you are not on board after one listen to their appropriately titled Century Media debut album, Pedal To The Metal, you will quickly find yourself sneaking onto the bandwagon. The effort was recorded by GGGarth (Nickleback, Rise Against). Feel good rock and roll has been absent for some time, the world has been waiting for a band of this magnitude for awhile.

The band encompasses pure rock n’ roll excess, which was further displayed as they purchased their own bus and drove it into the ground throughout numerous tours. The most recent was alongside Kittie and Bring Me The Horizon, which is where the band caught the attention of Century Media execs with their DIY lazer/light show and undeniably energetic and captivating live performance. The buzz has even reached overseas, as BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART has already booked a sold-out UK headlining tour. It won’t be long until this phenomenon invades the U.S. again so be sure get your party pants out so you're completely ready for their global takeover.

It doesn’t matter what your social status is, what clique you are in, where you fit in or how you dress, because at the end of the day we are all people who enjoy the same amenities. BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART have created a universal soundscape for the masses that knows no limitations. Everyone can relate to these tracks in some capacity and it is now up to you to let go, give into your desires and have nothin’ but a good time.
