Bleed The Sky Return To The Road
January 10, 2009
Noah Robinson, lead vocalist for Oklahoma’s Bleed The Sky, comments on the band’s upcoming February tour with Straight Line Stitch and Flatline:

“We always do a St. Valentine's Day Massacre show here in Oklahoma City, so we thought it would be the ideal time to start our tour with Straight Line Stitch. Touring with them is like touring with family to us. Every member of that band has the same personalities, interests, and drinking habits as we do, so it makes for a very low-stress, action-packed tour! I think it's probably gonna still be a little cold out for any inflatable pools on the road, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it! Not much luck on the sponsorship of Frank's Red Hot Sauce, but that doesn't mean we don't already soak all our food with it!”

Confirmed shows are as follows:
2/13/09 - TBA - Tulsa, OK
2/14/09 - Bricktown Live - Oklahoma City, OK

Bleed The Sky Issues Post Soulfly Tour Summary
December 9, 2008
“27 shows in 28 days, a few blown tires, and an awesome Thanksgiving dinner, we are home from - hands down - the BEST tour we’ve done yet!!!

Starting out in Texas, the tour went to the east coast, through the frozen north, and ended in Hollywood, California at the Key Club. Every night was GREAT. The crowd responses were unbelievable!!! Between 500 and 1,000 fans showed up ready to throw down every night, and that they did with some of the most brutal pits we have ever seen!!! Every band on this tour came out for blood! We had the privilege of being direct support for Soulfly every night, and since many of our fans are Soulfly fans too, it was a match made in Hell!!!

The best part of being on tour is meeting ‘People You Consider Family,’ and that is exactly what we have with Our Brothers from Soulfly, Devastation, and Incite. The brotherhood between all the bands made this tour so easy, it was almost too short because we could have kept going for a few more months!!! With members of Devastation leaving half-way through the tour, we all had to pull together and to make sure that the show went on, and when everyone on the tour stepped up on vocals and bass, no one ever knew the difference. It made for a party every night on stage with our thrash metal brothers Devastation!!!

All of us in Bleed The Sky are looking forward to future tours with Soulfly, Incite, and the band formerly known as Devastation. The end of this tour was like leaving summer camp. WE ARE BROTHERS FOR LIFE!!! Thanks to all the fans who came out to support us and a special thanks goes to the Cavalera Family for taking such good care of all the bands & crew on this tour… and for the great Thanksgiving dinner in Tempe!!!”

HOME TOWN: Orange County, CA
Noah Robinson (vocals)
Kyle Moorman (guitar)
Wayne Miller (guitar)
Daylen Elsey (bass)
Austin D'Amond (drums)
Puck (samples/sequencing)

A new breed, a new name: BLEED THE SKY! Behind this name stand six young guys from Orange County, California, with one common goal: to generate a new respect for metal through their musicianship, lyrical depth, melody, and unabated brutality. On debut album "Paradigm In Entropy", BLEED THE SKY perform with a level of technical experience and power other bands don't manage to reach in years! In the stylistic vein of bands like CHIMAIRA, LAMB OF GOD or SHADOWS FALL, this young outfit created ten strong and overwhelming tracks somewhere between melodic Metal and brute Hardcore. Thus songs like 'Minion', 'Killtank' or 'God In The Frame' convince with both raw brutality and catchy, clean chorus lines.Mission accomplished, guys ? goal attained!BLEED THE SKY were founded by singer Noah Robinson and guitarist Kyle Moorman in Fall 2002 when the two guys messed around writing & playing instrumental songs with just guitars and drum machine. After a short while the duo was joined by drummer Austin D'Amond, second guitar player Wayne Miller, sampler (and former roadie) Puck and bass player Casey Kulek.Things came together quickly and soon BLEED THE SKY played their first show ? after being together only two months ? with the well-known Swedish Death metal virtuosi OPETH! Between February 2003 and October 2004 the band played as many gigs as possible and gained more and more attention within the American metal scene. Their shows included a west coast tour with INTEGRITY and an own national tour lasting six weeks and spanning from Southern California to upstate NY.As a result of the band's ceaseless promotion and constant shows, BLEED THE SKY managed to grab the attention of an A&R for Nuclear Blast and finalized a deal with the label in the recent months. Recording sessions for BLEED THE SKY's first album "Paradigm In Entropy" commenced soon after the signing. As producer for "Paradigm In Entropy", BLEED THE SKY chose Ben Schigel who's also responsible for the production of CHIMAIRA's "Impossibility Of Reason" plus several albums of acts like INTEGRITY and DROWNING POOL. Ben produced the band's 4-track demo EP in the end of 2003 as well ? so the guys didn't have to think twice about what producer to chose. "We chose him because we knew that recording with him was like recording at your best friends house", says Kyle Moorman about the cooperation, "not to mention his amazing skills as a producer!?Regarding the recording process itself, Kyle reflects: "Working in the studio had a very flexible, spontaneous atmosphere and many parts on the album were written on the spot. Also, having a sampler in the band assured us that we would be able to accurately play the songs live. The songs on the album span back to the very beginning of the band, and were not all written at once for the purpose of writing an album, so to us it?s a kind of music biography."Shortly after "Paradigm In Entropy" was finished, bass player Casey Kulek decided to part ways with BLEED THE SKY and got replaced by new man Daylen Elsey who joined the band just in time to keep them on schedule with shows and everything else coming up.
